Defective but on the “bright side”....

I am updating my review from 3 to 5 stars, after the company replaced the defective product and now it works as good as the one at his home. I’ve had it for a while now and it’s working as advertised. He loves his Bubsy! My grandson has one of these at home and they will pack it when he comes over. It works great! The reason I am only giving it 3 stars is based on the one that I received when I ordered one for our house. I was surprised how it came in the actual product box. The tongue of the cardboard that fits into the top of the box was out. Bubzi was inside, but not wrapped in plastic which I thought was a little strange being it’s a soft fabric product.. The issue is that ever since I put the batteries in Monday evening around 9pm, the stars will not stay off. The “bright side” of that is the batteries haven’t died out yet and it’s 6am Wednesday morning (33 hours so far). Returning this one and a new one is on the way. I am hoping this was a fluke and this one works correctly. I’ll update once I receive the new one.

Great unisex sleep aid. Adorable

I like that this is neither male or female oriented, and that the color scheme is fairly neutral. It doesn't necessarily match anything but it wouldn't clash with really any theme. I bought this for my best friend's bday and she's having a baby boy in February. I saw some reviews that said it can't be turned off until the 30 minute timer is up, but it turned off fine. Very cute, and it's great that you can take the battery pack out to wash the owl. Also, cutest little screwdriver ever.

This is a God send for sleep training!!

This owl saved our lives!! I never leave reviews but I had to for this item. We were really struggling with sleep training our son. Before we knew it, he was 10 months old and still not sleeping in his crib. I almost gave up until I found the Bubzi! My son loves the lights and all the lullabies. I also love the fact that the songs and lights last 30 minutes. Enough time for him to fall asleep on his own!

Best Buy! Wish I had bought it sooner

This owl is awesome!!! My daughter is almost two and has never been a good sleeper. She has always fought going to sleep and woke up several times at night. The music helps her relax and she LOVES the lights! With this owl, she goes to sleep easier and stays asleep. I think the relaxing time helps her sleep better. When she does wake at night we just turn the owl back on and she settled back down quickly! This is a great buy and I wish I had it sooner!

Makes bedtime easy and fun !

This is the best thing ever! Not only is it super soft and easy to clean off with a damp wash cloth but the sound and light piece comes out for easy replacement of batteries and safety (in case my child just wants to cuddle). Not only are the lights perfect for a crib but they also change colors and shapes. My L.O. was asleep within 10 minutes of watching the lights (bedtime usually takes about 30mins). I would totally purchase again !

Very impressed

My son, 18 months, sleeps to a CD every night since birth. Unfortunately our CD player took a dump. I decided to try this Owl out. He LOVES it. He actually asks for it when it's time for bed. I turn on the lights and then play the music on repeat mode. He lays down next to it, tells me bye, and I walk out of the room. I was worried the music wouldn't play long enough (only 30 min), But I have had for over a month now and it's just perfect. I hope you get the same experience; he is so relaxed with having it and putting him to bed has become such a blessing. Product came timely, had to add the batteries, which came with it. Placed the speaker/ light part in the Owl. Instructions are pretty easy. I have no issues since our purchase. The star lights is really neat. My 6 year wants one now. My only disappointment was the music, songs are not long enough and they right into the next song. But it still get 5 stars. This Owl is great!!

Bought 1 for 1-1/2 year old Granddaughter and 1 for 91-1/2 year old Great Grandma! Both are in love! ❤️

What you receive: One (1) soft plush owl with plastic removable battery pack/music light fixture. 3 batteries. Small screwdriver. Both Granddaughter and Grandma are in love with this product! Pros - Removable battery pack. 3 levels of volume control. Multiple gentle songs and soothing sounds. Beautiful Rotating colored stars. Washable Owl when battery pack is removed. Cushioned Velcro strap to prevent child from getting scratched by the sides of the rough Velcro strip. Cons - The lights. Yes. The lights are very bright. The first thing a child wants to do when holding this is look into the little holes to look at the bright lights. They are extremely bright which is great for the wall or ceiling, but not little eyes. Recommendation to the manufacturer. Possibly a snap on frosted filter removable so a child can hold and play with it, without the scare of the bright lights directly in their eyes. The Velcro strap - When hanging from Grandma’s medical bed, the owl faces down onto her bed. She has to hold it up for it to aim at the ceiling or wall. Which kinda defeats the purpose of putting one to sleep. With the granddaughter’s crib (and we don’t have aa big fancy crib) the strap is not long enough and does not fit around the top horizontal rail where the stars could at least display on the wall. The strap only fits around the vertical rails but then it slides down to the bottom of the crib where the stars either display on the floor or on the mattress, depending on if you put owl inside or outside the crib. With not wanting the baby to look directly into the lights, we hang it outside the crib. This also defeats the purpose of putting one to sleep by watching the stars. Recommendation to Manufacturer: instead of one Velcro strip that attaches to itself (like a wristband), I recommend the strap be longer and attaches to a connecting piece of Velcro down lower on the owl, the butt area. This would then allow it to fit most crib horizontal rail and allow it to be strapped laying on top of the rail facing the ceiling somstars can be displayed and viewed. As it is made right now, the only way for it to be displayed on the ceiling is holding it, or laying it on its back propped up somehow and away from the baby. It is still an amazing product but one needs to work at getting it to do, what it is supposed to do. Which shouldn’t have to happen

ALL BABIES MUST HAVE!

My wife stumbled on to this product and bought it for our newborn. Because it came with a defect we didn’t know, we just thought because we used it too much for our baby that it drained the battery in a matter of days. When we contacted Bubzi Co, they replied right away and sent us another one. If only I could film my baby’s reaction in the dark everytime he sees the stars and falls asleep with the music. It’s one of those happy moments for every parent!

Great product!

I waited to review this owl until I actually used it consistently. My little one is 3 months old and I've been putting her to sleep with the same song and stars every night. She absolutely loves it, I normally use it only at bedtime but today she was having a really hard time I turned it on and she instantly relaxed. She is my third and I wish I'd had it with my other two. Great product!!

My baby loves it. Great for traveling.

My baby loves it. Lots of nursery rymes. The only downfall is that you have to click one button to change the song. It is like surfing the radio. Click, click, click, click, click, click theres the song i wanted. It turns off after 20 minutes to save batteries. Which is good and bad. Saves batteries but baby doesn't like it when it shuts off and shes not asleep. The stars that project are crisp and clear better that another one i have for her room.
