Great product with best customer service, I has three old units, I want to new units with updated firmware and BeSense just replaced them with three new one.

I'd buy one again!

It works really well and it was easy to set up. All the info you need is on their website and I love the design with the downward firing sensor.

They work perfect for me

I have 5 motion sensors from BeSense as I keep adding them (ceiling and these). They work perfect for me. I use motion to turn on various lights and of course for security. Be sure to follow the included instructions on adding the improved device handlers, that is a must! Love that they use AA batteries. If I had one request for improving the product it would be to make the bottom of the unit flat so you can set it on a shelf or window sill in a stable fashion. It will, but it’s not stable. Not associated, paid or discounted by them.

Easy to Pair - Works Well

Was having difficulty maintaining connection with one of my SmartThings Motion Detectors (ZigBee) so I thought that I would try this (relatively) less expensive Z-Wave Plus substitute since I have many Z-Wave switches and outlets (hoping for better connectivity through the resulting Z-Wave mesh network). Was also attracted to the fact that it uses AA batteries and I did not require temperature, light, humidity, etc... sensing. Followed the instructions and also watched the U-Tube videos on the BeSense website. Paired effortlessly with my SmartThings Hub (v2). Updated the device handler and is now working as advertised. The provided mounting ball socket is convenient and provides easy adjustment. Would suggest adding a keyhole on the back for simpler installations. Note that I did not try adjusting the sensitivity since I have no pets in the monitored area, but the requisite terminal jumpers appear easy to adjust. Very pleased with this addition to my "smart home".

No pet detection

The only motion detector that truly works if you have pets. My 2 cats have not set it off since the day I put then.

I got the wall sensor to cover a long hallway and it works as stated. with this sensor and the ceiling sensors that I purchased from them my whole house is covered, and I have them rigged up to her Extremely Loud 120 decibel siren. All of the motion sensors work as stated and I highly recommend them.

Best motion sensor brand I have tried!!!

I love the be-sense sensors! I don’t get false alarms and I love that they take regular batteries that don’t drain quickly. This was really easy to set up because it came with simple and effective directions. I have bought and tried to connect so many Smartthings in the last month and I haven’t always succeeded. I actually just bought a Wink hub to see if life could be easier with Wink. Now I have three hubs and a bucket of smart home devices that I have yet to muster up the patience to re-try connecting. They have never been connected to my smart home because they are testy, buggy, and just not user friendly. It’s ironic that a little company can get it so right when huge companies get it so wrong. After communicating with be-sense I can vouch for their customer service, know how, and design expertise.

Great automation product

I very seldom write reviews but the Besense motion detector worked like a charm from setup and use. Looking forward to more of their products. Great product, shipped on time.
