For medical reasons I have had to resort to wearing compression stockings. They were helping, but are a pain to put on/off and often, cut off circulation and often cut into my skin. Worst of all...they had sock bottoms so I had to keep washing them. After seeing the reviews I figured I’d give these a try. I am an average size woman. I would say my calf’s are not thin but not wide. Could have gotten the s/m but I ordered the large. They are comfortable. Not too tight, but gives me the compression I need. I have been wearing these everyday and I have to say, a much better solution than the compression socks! If your questioning getting trying these, don’t, Just do it!

Wow! After running cross country in middle school, I got shin splints and eventually just gave up on it because any runs beyond 1.5 Miles were so painful. I was training for a race with a friend and began to feel them act up but once I tried these, all the pain went away! I am now able to train for 1/2 marathons consistently running up to 8-10 miles on the weekends FREE OF PAIN! I can not recommend these enough. The size was perfect and offered relief immediately! I got a second pair because I’m running so often now!

Recently had a grade 2 calf sprain/tear. Purchased these based on favorable reviews and they have not disappointed. They seem to be well made, fit well and did reduce the pain. I even slept in them a few nights and had no issues. I was just over the line on the size measurement (think I measured 15.5) so I went up to the large/x-large size. Not sure how "tight" they are supposed to be but depending on that I may have went down to the small/medium. Would most definitely recommend and buy again!

Play a lot of racquet sports so my shins take a beating. These definitely help while playing, and are reasonably comfortable. My biggest surprise is that they help so much after playing. Normally I would take them off when I get home, but then I would get shin pain. Now I find myself wearing them when I have shin pain instead of taking a few Aleve. I even sleep in them on days that shins are acting up. I have slept in knee sleeves when necessary, and that was never comfortable, these I do not mind. If you have shin splints, you need to try a compression product, they work wonders. I chose this brand because I already owned the knees, they are affordable and got a discount for buying multiple items. I am starting to look like a walking advertisement for sports braces, but they let me play what i want at the level i want so i cant complain. Its tough getting older.

You know what a pain compression stockings are. They kill you. True! then you get a pair for a ton of money, and they sit in your drawer mocking you. You need a box cutter to cut them off at the end of the day True again. Not these, Buster...they go from ankle to just under your knee and make your tired legs so spunky! I wear them walking, relaxing, whatever. They have nice small grippy nubs to keep them in place. Hand wash, line dry, they are snappy enough they look like something athletes wear, so you dont look like a dork in shorts. I got the black ones. Hint: when you put them on...lay down, put one just on your feet, raise you leg for 45 seconds to get the blood out of your feet and legs, and slide them up, do the same with the other leg. I wont steer you wrong.. These are the best..

These sleeves are the best calf sleeves if you are looking for moderate compression and warmth for running or sports. I have tried a lot of them. These are on the thicker side for this style sleeve but they have lovely stretch and provide warmth with breathability. The best thing is the top and bottom cuffs are actually comfortable - they stay in place without digging in as most do. The price is great for the pair too. These are great for general support and comfort for running or sports, but if you need tight compression after a calf tear as I did, you might want something firmer. I highly recommend the NEO G Medical Grade Calf/Shin Splint Support (on Amazon), a great heavy duty sleeve if you need therapeutic compression post injury.

These sleeves are good for my situation. When over played basketball, my calf dang get cramped. After wearing these sleeves, it minimized that. In fact, I don't think I've cramped up since I wear them but then of course, the time I spent playing basketball varies. So to me it worked. But I'll be conservative on the size. You want to have enough compression or it won't give you the support for the muscle you need. I don't think it has any pain relief ability, purely to support calf muscle and prevent cramps or lower risk of injury. One thing I like about it is how easy it is to wear. I got a nice brand but it's strap base so it can slip off. This one will do a little later but you just wear it with no strap.

These calf sleeves are great. I have lots of spider veins and some are thick. My legs are in pain some times. I ordered these to wear while at work. I'm a teacher, so I'm on my feet a lot. I ordered a large b/c my left measured 15 at its thickest part. They feel great, not too tight. I wore them all day up until 2pm (630am-2pm). At the top and the bottom, they have little rubber dots to avoid slipping down and it does work, but after wearing them for almost 8 hours, they kinda pinched. That was not a big deal. I still love them!!!

My adult son has always suffered from shin splints, even as a child. In the past year it has gotten so bad that he would use my power wheelchair to go to the store instead of walking. Then he asked me to get these for him. I did. He now wears them whenever he walks. And he invents reasons to walk. I just told him tomorrow we are going to a place 1 1/2 miles away, walking (well him walking, me in my wheelchair). 2 months ago he would have moaned and groaned and then come up with some reason he can’t go, but his response was a great, the library is a block away from where you are going, let’s stop there, too. I am so glad these work, and are affordable.

I wish I had these when I was a younger athlete. I played basketball in high school and college and sometimes couldn't play to the peak of my ability due to shin splint plain. Along with stretching and warming up before I do my daily jogs, these help out a whole lot. The pain is not as intense and glad that I bought them. As far as sizing I bought a small/medium and they hug my caf muscles like a glove. They are not designed to be easy to put on otherwise they wouldn't serve the purpose for what they are for. I will definitely buy these again in a different color.
