The item shipped on time. It was an easy installation, I connected the power to my license plate light so I could turn it on whenever I wanted instead of just when in reverse. The camera is adjustable so i can move it around for trailer hookup vs. regular backing up. So far everything works nicely with a good clear view of everything behind the vehicle. I maybe purchasing sever more for my other vehicles.

Customizable
Great product and I found it to be highly and conveniently customizable and expandable! I’ve never written a review but find them helpful. On this system, you wire the camera to your tag (on the bottom) but you might need extra OEM-size tag bolts - probably should come with the product but I had extra from the front tag). The screen mounts easily on the dash or really wherever you want it. Theoretically, you could even put the monitor on your visor! Just a little finagling as this is a WIRELESS system! On mine, I made a custom switch that activates the camera instead of being wired to the back-up lights (this was actually easier than accessing the back-up light!! See photo - just a USB cable and a power source). Now, I can be driving FORWARDS and see behind me! How cool is that? The integrated systems don’t even do that that I’ve seen. All said, I could see myself buying more of these for trailers, motor cycle (with a custom camera mod), cargo vans, and the list goes on! I was so excited about this inexpensive system and it’s versitility that I felt compelled to write my FIRST EVER REVIEW! I’ve bought hundreds of cool gadgets on Amazon but even my wife is jelous of mine and she has a newer SUV with one BUILT IN!! I don’t even feel like buying a new car this is so awesome!

This was a better approach than replacing my radio/cd player; cheaper and easier.
So far so good. Had to power camera on my 2004 Matrix using license plate light power due to rear door containing power to plate lights. *** Opened the rear door, popped off the cover to license plate light with a flat head screwdriver, pushed out the license plate light assembly; made a notch for camera wire on the bottom left of the opening with a triangular file. Poked the the transmitter and wiring through the hole, mounted the camera on top of the license plate and replaced the license plate assembly. Inside the door I stripped positive and negative leads, wrapped the camera leads 10 times to license plate leads and secured with electrical tape.Replaced the cover. Up front I placed the receiver power plug into the cigarette lighter receptacle found in the bottom of the middle front seat console and ran the wiring from the console down the back floor board to the left door and shoved it under floor moulding to front left dash. Mounted the video to the left front dash with hot glue since the contact glue on the support wouldn't hold. Then I shoved the leads from the camera under the left dash plastic, plugged the receiver and power in from the console and works perfect. Secured loose wiring with friction tape.*** I just received a free backup systems from Emmako for making a 5 star review and I used that system as a security system for my home which works really great with my Cox Homelife system! I use it to look under beds, down sewers, etc. Wonderful! Perfect for my folding luggage carrier
I bought this because I was putting a folding luggage rack on the back of my 2008 Tahoe and it would be blocking the stock reverse camera and my license plate. I used my trailer light plug to power the license plate light and the Emmako reverse camera. On the inside, the instructions suggest you splice into your reverse wire inside. I did not want to splice into any wiring inside the truck. So I just wired the receiver to an old car voltage adapter I had and plugged the receiver and the monitor into a double 12 volt adapter plug inside the center console storage area. By doing this they are always on, at least in the Tahoe the 12 volt plugs are always hot even when the car is off, but you do not see any image on the screen nor a glow of any kind. When you go in reverse, up pops the image from the camera. Perfect! I plan on getting a double 12 volt adapter that I can turn off the inside reciever and monitor when not in use. They do not pull much power. I have not had any battery issues from current draw.

Good rearview camera for the price.
This is a good rearview camera, for the price. When I received, I didn't have time to check it out. A little over a month later I tested it, and the camera itself was bad. I sent an email to the company and received a reply later that day (there are a few hours difference in time zones). After answering a few questions, they said that they would send out another camera. This was on Friday. I received the replacement on Monday (3 days later). I was impressed with their customer service. The camera works good. This is not a $600 system, but you can't beat it for the price. It does the job. One thing that could be improved is the wire thickness. The wire works, but you have to be careful not to damage it (because of its thinness). Overall, it's a good backup camera at a good price.

Good camera for the price
I purchased this backup camera for the purpose of being able to backup my Expedition and attach it to my Travel Trailer myself without needing my wife out with me to align up the hitch. I went with a wireless option as I didn't want to have to run a video cable the full length of my car. The picture on the camera is clear and I was able to attach the trailer for the first time by myself. My only complaint is that the 3M tape that holds the monitor to the dash didn't want to adhere to my dash, after a couple of attempts I was able to get it attached and it stayed put.

Excellent - Flawless Transmitter and Reciever. Monitor quality is very clear.
Excellent Wireless Rear View Camera System. My wife loves it. Installed it on a 2010 Mini Cooper Convertible. Could not install it using the upper plate mounts as the camera was to tight to the hatch release, so I installed it using the lower mounts. To make the install neat, I removed the inner hatch plastic liner and backed off on the latch mechanism so as not to harm it during my next step. That was to drill a hole directly behind the license plate large enough to pass the connector through followed by installing a rubber grommet then siliconed the hole and wire to keep out moisture. Retightened the latch mechanism and secured the transmitter with a wire tie in a suitable location in the hatch. Ran the power wires to the backup light and this part was complete short of snapping in the inner liner. The monitor was powered using a cigarette lighter adapter. The transmitter was tucked under the dash and secured with wire ties. A perfect install. I highly recommend this system from this seller.

Standard installation for most vehicles would be easy ... Minivans, Not so much
I wanted a backup camera for my older minivan. This seemed like the easiest approach. The camera functions well, and getting it to work was easy. But, completing the installation and wiring turned out to be a big project. So, if you have a hatchback car, or van in which the backup lights are not part of the hatch door, you are in for a project! The wiring will need to be extended, which means splicing and soldering, and the hatch door interior will need to be opened up to hide the wiring. I also had to drill a hole in the hatch door to run the wiring from the camera. I don't think most people want to get into this, but it became a personal challenge. After all this, it does work well.
