I've had plenty of meters over the years so I am familiar with them. This is a nice meter with lots of features and attractively priced. I was especially impressed with the large display with good contrast which makes for easy readings. I took off the removable orange rubber case so it is less bulky. If you are prone to dropping things you might leave it on. The manual is a typical Chinese translation written in Engrish. It is difficult to read. But using these meters is pretty straight forward so you shouldn't need the manual anyway. It seemss well built and has a quality feel. It was a little larger than I expected but it's just fine for me.

I've always wanted the big name in meters but for the money, I really couldn't justify the buy. I need a meter for mostly auto and home over use, with some light tube amp repair. After much comparison and research, I chose this one. Weary of the brand, I'm very happy I made the purchase. Well made, solid feel, normal measurement lag for a DMM and so far it reads accurate. The touchless voltage function is OK, not great and seems to only work @ an outlet or switch. Example: Doing some work on our well pump, I needed to remove a bad 220V switch and wire nut the wires temporarily. The meter did not tone when I tested for V present, no matter how I held it waved it, when touched the meter to the wires. NOT GOOD, especially @ 220. Other wise its a great meter, I just wouldn't trust the "no touch" function, unless I'm missing something here. As others said, alligator clips are garbage and leads aren't threaded, no big deal. Totally happy with purchase and would defiantly buy it again. Found a hard case on Amazon too. Fit's like a glove, was described as a case for a 117/115/116 by COMECASE, recommend that too.

I looked at the several multimeters Amazon displayed and picked this. It is heavy and feels like a solid piece of equipment It's something of a fiddle getting the included batterty in placeAs a bonus it has a keyhole cutout in back and a fold out stand. The leads aren't impressive but heavy duty looking, I will replace the alligator clips with mini grabbers It will replace two el chepo meters So far accuracy has been fine for my hobbyist needs. My only caveat is plan on replacing the leads

Review of Meter from husband who used for work: I work in the low voltage controls industry and finding a reliable meter is key to my efficiency. I used it for a few days out in the field and came to enjoy all of the features packed into this meter. There is way more features but the key things for me were: 1. Large numbers with a bright back light which makes it easy to use in mechanical rooms and above ceilings. 2. Selectable AC/DC allowing me to focus on the signal type I am looking for. Using this meter, I was able to measure everything from 3Ph 480 VAC down to 24 VAC. Then it was sensitive enough to also measure my communication voltage which is as low as 400mv DV. 3. The Non-Contact Voltage detection was a feature I didn’t expect to use as much as I am a check three times for voltage kind of guy before putting my hands in a panel but it was nice to use this as a double check as you just put the face of the meter near the wires and it beeped at you. 24V beeped slow and the higher the voltage the faster it beeped at you. 4. It also has continuity and resistance testing so it allowed me to use it to verify all of my sensors using one meter rather than carrying around a few different meters in my backpack. The only thing I would recommend adding to your order would be a zipper bag as it didn’t come with one but not a big deal as you can get a nice canvas zipper pouch for a few dollars.

The Thsinde 18B digital multimeter is a good performer for its low price. I prefer my better set of test leads to the included ones. Although the descriptions indicate that it's built with two internal fuses, the manual provides no info on how to access them. So apparently one would split open the snap-together case where its top and bottom seams meet, hopefully without tearing them up, since there aren't pry slots or screws. If I find out, I'll revise my review.

I needed a multimeter at home to do simple work occasionally. I decided to invest a decent one in case I need more. So far this multimeter gets the job done and it’s easy to use, simple to understand. The battery is included in the package and holds up well and stable. I like the digital reading so saves me work reading/counting. It also has a good price.

Doe's all that I would want a meter to do. Cables holders were not much use but I tend to wrap them around unit anyway. Like the way I can catch the peak current draw of my amplifier boards. If you build battery powered boomboxes, this is what you need to get current draw measurement to determine what battery you need. I needed this over 20 years ago when I started building things.

Bought for my cousin because his little multimeter was burned out recently. The multimeter needs a 9V battery to be installed before using. The process is straightforward but the plus and minus signs are a bit hard to read. I already took a photo to help identifying. I checked two resistors and a 18650 battery. One resistor was 27k ohm and the multimeter read 26.91k ohm; the other one was 100 ohm and read 99.7 ohm. And it showed 4.194V for the battery. All results are correct, so it seems work fine. In addition, the LCD screen is large enough and also has backlight available, so have no issues to read. This multimeter is visibly better than my cousin’s old one, and it has functions that the old one doesn’t has like auto-ranging, max/min, voltage alert, etc. Now he can continue his hobby, and, of course, he’s very happy with his new multimeter.

Received the multimeter a couple days ago and have only done preliminary accuracy testing with it. So far it seems to be working just fine. This is my first Auto-Ranging multimeter so it takes a small amount of getting used to how it behaves and I need to figure out how the diode test feature works but for AC voltage, DC voltage, resistance and continuity testing it seems to be working just fine. For accuracy, when I tested a wall outlet on the AC voltage setting, it went right to 120 VAC and held solid, so that's spot on. For DC voltage, it's within 0.05V of my old Fluke 8024B meter, well within acceptable variance. Resistance and continuity measurement also seems to be accurate. So far no issues with the unit. I do like that the thick orange rubber surround molding has retaining clips for the test leads. However, you cannot have the aligator clips attached to the test leads and still have the clip into the molding. Annoying but by no means a deal breaker.

This is a great meter at twice the price. Nice large, backlit display, the dial feels solid, the non contact voltage detection is a nice addition too. Once you've used a meter with min/max recording, you get really spoiled. I bought it to have something to use around the house and working on cars. It'll be great for that. It's also pretty much right on par with voltage readings on my Agilent at work. I'm very happy with this meter, especially considering what it cost.
