Great LED strip

Great LED strip, only needs a USB, mine is plugged into my desktop and I hide the wires in the window frame behind the shades. The MUSIC MODE IS A JOKE, it's more like this mode will react to ANY sounds, rather than just bass/kicks. So when in music mode, this thing just blinks like crazy. Other than that, good price and works really well, had it on for days in a row and is still holding up

Great Customer Service

UPDATED Review: After my initial post(below this review), the seller reached out to me and helped me with either a full refund or a new LED strip. I requested for full refund due to not wanting to risk again. The refund was made accordingly and I truly appreciate the great customer service. Since the overall review is good, I would say give them a chance because the strip looked great and I got compliments. I think I may just have received a bad one or something went wrong while I was using it because most people had no issues with it. BEFORE Review: Used it for four months and the lights started flickering this morning. When I unplugged it, it smelt like something was burnt and I realized it was the plug. I do not know the reason, but I am rating it 1 star because things could have really gone bad if I didn't unplug it right away.

Very Cool

These are great! So much fun! I was worried by a few reviews that had trouble with the lights, but everything works great. The music setting is really cool. The music does not need to be plugged in or even super loud for the lights to detect it. The lights really transform a room. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Very nice leds, RGB all on 1 chip

These are very nice strip lights. Particularly because their chips are all RGB which means all 3 colors are on each LED chip. In other words, you don't wind up with a bunch of red/blue/red/blue leds which sort-of blend to make purple-ish like many such strips. It works well with power packs and I use mine with a huge battery to make my river table glow. It seems pretty efficient, particularly on lower brightness. You can control brightness up to about 10 levels or so which gives good control. You can control the speed of the various modes, INCLUDING the slow-fade mode which is a rarity amoung these type of leds. You have 20 colors you can pick from which is decent. I do wish they had a Color++/-- type button so that you could select ANY color. Going from the green down to blue/green cyan is pretty good as far as increments go. But from that color to blue is quite a large jump. Ditto with the others... you lose a lot of inbetweener colors from the bottom most button to the top color button on the next column over. Music mode works decently and transfers control to the little local music speaker box. It oddly enough has multiple modes of its own... only ONE of which is actually music. It has basically redundant modes. Note that music mode wont work great with a battery pack since the batteries tend to turn themselves off if no load after 30 seconds to 1 minute typically. This depends on the battery pack of course. All in all, I am happy with it. Very nice color, love having the colors all on 1 chip.

Pretty nice considering the price and function.

This can literally work with anything that makes noise, the lights are reactive to a microphone on the control box, it has nothing to do with being plugged in to USB. If you normally use a headset, it's a great way to determine when someone else is talking to you, lol.

Bought for fun on prime day

This was a prime day deal and for $11 we thought it would be fun to try. We put on top of our kitchen cabinets by our bluetooth speaker. The kitchen is where our family dance parties happen. The music setting is really fun to watch, as long as there is a beat. It is also nice back ground lighting instead of having the full lights on.

Wowsers!

I used these to light up the inside of my bass tubeamp. And let me tell you, it's friggin awesome. I got it with the intention of using the music function to fluctuate the light as I played...that didnt work out so well. It just flashes random colors and doesn't really go with the music at all. Just a minor let down, but the color options and ease of use totally make up for it. My amp is bitchin now!
