But after a few weeks of use, the wire that they come with is sort of brittle. Not sure if that is the best term for it, but basically the ground wire has fallen off a few times. No matter what type of terminal I use, solder or no solder, after swinging in the wind while driving the wire breaks off. Currently, I have bare wire wrapped around a screw in the frame and tape wrapped around the frame to make sure the wire won't move at all. Never had this issue with any other trailers before. ---- UPDATE ---- The seller had reached out after this review to help figure out a solution. They sent a new kit over and the wiring in this one was great, not brittle at all. No clue as to why that one section of wire was breaking so easily, but I am glad they sent the new kit. Been in and out of the water a few times and all is good. Great seller, great customer service, great product.

Well...I may have hoped too soon. Kit looked great. I've had it 2 months...just got time to install it. The instructions are bad. I have electrical knowledge but still didn't know to ground the white wire. When I did that I now have side lights. BUT no tail lights. I took VM and have 12dc at the rear light but NO LIGHT on either side. Brown to brown, yellow to yellow, green to green and all white to ground. So LEDs must be shot. So I go to look for CUSTOMER SUPPORT that everyone is praising. PLEASE tell me where it is? No 800# No email. No nothing. Maybe it's because the 30 day timeframe passed. Not sure. Anyway out there in the internet land if anyone can give me CONTACT info for CZC Auto or mfg of these lights I'd appreciate any help. Oh yeah...somewhere someone said something about polarity of LED being reversed. 12v has to go right? I would suspect the color codes handled that but I'm not going to experiment until I can find the seller. Anyone help? If I can get it working I'll gladly change my recommendation. But for now I spent $28 or so for nothing. 10-14-2018. UPDATE: Ok their product works AS ADVERTISED. I was very concerned and had to troubleshoot but found a BAD GROUND on the trailer...in fact more than one. I tried to use an EXISTING bolted ground in two places and lost voltage thru the end. It was intermittent and once I got a good ground all WORKS FINE. THIS IS A GOOD PRODUCT SO FAR so I have revised my review to positive. I can't blame them for a bad ground. But the moral of the story is if you can't troubleshoot these kits you better know someone that can.

I drove my trailer 12 miles down the road and when I got to my destination I noticed something was missing. It appears the right rear LED cover fell off in transit. Best I can tell it is held on with some sort of calking. The lights look great and function fine, if only they would not fall apart... ---------------Update--------------- When the first set had issues, I ordered the same set from them thinking it was just a defect in the caulking. This assumption was correct because the replacement set has been working great for months without any issues. Customer Service reached out to me after this review and sent me a set of lights to replace the faulty light which my first review describes. Due to the replacement set working great and customer service shipping me a new set I am going to change my rating to 5 stars.

very quick customer service and they were able to answer some very detailed questions. i thought i received the incorrect product but their engineer explained things. again, very fast and reliable service and the LED lights work great.

I use a 4x8 trailer to haul kayaks, a 4-wheeler, lawn tractor, lumber, and motorcycles. I don't submerge it when launching the kayaks, so I won't evaluate the water-worthiness of the lights. Today I rewired my trailer. The total time from start (readying the materials) to finish (putting things away) was 90 minutes at a steady, unrushed, pace. After placing the trainer on it's side and removing the old lights, I used the old wiring to pull the new wiring harness through the frame-mounted (undercarriage) conduit. I then wire-brushed, filed, and sanded the metal surface where the ground leads to the tail lights would be attached to the frame. Each light was grounded to the frame using self-tapping screws. Dielectric grease was applied to the cleaned/sanded grounding surface to help promote electrical conductivity. I agree that the crimp-on terminal for the ground (at the end of the tongue) was rather light-weight, but I used it. It works. I did trim away a small amount of insulation and crimped it directly to the bare wire instead of to the insulation, not depending on the crimps to puncture the insulation for contact. Since there's no stress placed on this connection, I felt safe using the provided terminal. Again - metal was cleaned, dielectric grease and self-tapping screws were used for that grounding connection. I have an F150. The vehicle-mounted flat-4 connector is female. The included wiring harness connector didn't match it until I used a sharp knife to trim away that connection's "boot", thereby exposing three male connectors. The fourth connector (green wire) was carefully shaved, reducing the outside dimensions slightly, until it snugly fit inside the shaped receptacle mounted to the vehicle. Next, each of the three male connections was increased in diameter to facilitate a secure connection, by slightly spreading apart each pin with the blade of a pocket knife. A pre-existing slot in each connection made this an easy task. The lights were soldered to the harness, then wrapped in electrical tape and zip-tied out of the way to avoid snagging the wires. Plastic ribbed sheathing (from the old wiring) was applied to the new wiring harness where it emerges from the tongue and taped closed on each end to discourage ants and spiders from nesting inside. Dielectric grease was applied to the male flat-4 connector pins on the trailer, and to the female flat-4 connection on the vehicle. The trailer was mounted to the hitch, wiring harness plugged in, and lights were tested. All lights functioned perfectly and were very bright - a huge improvement over the incandescent lights that were replaced! If I decide to immerse the trailer for boat-launching, I'll waterproof the lenses and housing with silicone caulk. As a precaution, I'll unplug the harness from the vehicle. However, kayaks are easy to carry to the water's edge and launch without a trailer. All said I'm very happy with my purchase and with the function of this replacement kit. The only thing left to do is put the trailer and lights to use and see how the lights hold up. If today's experience is any indication, I believe my optimism will hold. Suggestion for updates: Replace the lightweight terminal ring with one that is more robust. Really want to sweeten your product? Include a small packet of electrical grease.

I replaced a pair of incandescent taillights on my utility trailer with these LEDs units, and added the amber side marker LEDs to the front corners. I tested all of the lights with a 12V power source before installing, and they all worked correctly. The included harness seems to be of good quality. It is a split or Y-harness; it has two brown wires so you will have a 'constant' 12V source down both sides of your trailer when the tow vehicle's lights are on. The taillights each have a white ground wire, which I crimped a ring terminal on and installed on a bolt on the trailer frame. I haven't had any issues with flickering or apparent ground problems. All functions work correctly, and are nice and bright. Very pleased.

This is a great product, lights are very bright. Also, a couple months after installing them, I broke one of the housings. I contacted CZC Auto to see if I could purchase a single replacement housing. They do not sell single housings, but they are going to send me a replacement free of charge. Can't beat that for service. Definitely recommend this company.

I bought these to replace the lights on my 5x8 landscape trailer. While the lights that came with this kit are great, the wire harness is not so great. After only a few months, the ground wire is already deteriorating and I have had to strip back the wire a few times to get to good uncorroded wire. I will replace the wire with Hopkins wire since it is a better quality wire. Because of the price, i would buy again but I would buy a better quality wire to use with these lights. Update: I was contacted by the Seller and they informed me that were sending me replacement light kit. I was did not expect that but I was extremely happy with their customer service. I received the lights in a few days which was great. I did install the new light kit with the wiring harness that was included. So far I have had no issues and everything seems to working great. These LED lights are a huge improvement over the original bulb type lights. These lights are extremely bright and very easy to see even in the daylight. I also covered all the exposed wires with wire loom to keep them protected from the elements and prevent deterioration. The wire loom also makes everything look more professional. Between the sellers customer service and overall quality of the light kit, I would highly recommend this light kit!

These lights are great for the quality...I cant really speak to the wiring quality that other reviewers stated since I used my original harness. I did have an issue with the drivers side brake/turn lights not working when I first installed. I contacted the seller through Amazon and they quickly replied with an option to send me a completely new set even though I only needed the drivers side...the new one arrived about a week later direct from China and worked perfectly. Great overall customer service support and seems like it is a decent product. The housing was as sturdy as the Blazer brand incandescent version I replaced. LEDs are bright.

Nice light kit! Lights are bright and the wires seem to be thicker than the LED set that I bought at harbor freight a while back. I haven’t submersed them yet but they look like they’ll do fine. One of the light side markers had a crack in it so I contacted CZC direct and they sent me out a replacement ASAP. I received it a day earlier than they told me (next day after I gave them my address). Talk about quick customer service! I tested every light before installing with a 12v drill battery and they all worked great. Easy install and I would recommend. This was for a boat trailer so I didnt use the included wire nuts or the splice clips. I used heat shrink butt connectors and a little liquid electrical tape for extra precaution on all connections including over all the ground connections(after they were installed so to not interfere with connection). I had just repainted the trailer so I had to grind down all of my ground connections points. My only complaint, and it really isn’t that big of a deal, is that I wish the kit came with more of the wire clips the hold it to the trailer frame. I wasn’t planning on using them but they were much easier to use than my self drilling wire clips I had purchased. No big deal though, Amazon has an add-on pack for less than 3 bucks that I’ll be ordering and installing. Overall good product for the price!
