Excellent Product!
This StratoLauncher is an outstanding product. The design, components, and fins are all top notch. The instructions are complete and easy to follow. Other products from Relationshipware are of equally high quality. If you have not tried water rocketry, it is both fun and educational. Impressive to see how fast and how high a rocket can fly simply using a recycled soda bottle, water, and air.

This worked perfectly with 5 sections of students over 2 days. I even followed their idea of filling the bottles while on the launcher.

I was amazed as how quickly I got the rocket launcher
First of all, I was amazed as how quickly I got the rocket launcher. I ordered it on a Friday morning, and the launcher came the next day (Saturday)! The launcher came in a heavy, neatly packed box. There is some assembly required, but it was easy and pretty intuitive. They (Relationshipware) do have instructions on their website (StratoFins.com). The launcher is made up of really high quality parts. This is a very solid launcher, nothing cheap about it. I purchased the Deluxe model, which includes a pressure gauge, and more importantly, a tilting ball base, which allows you to angle the rocket into the wind. The pressure gauge is nice. It has large distinct numbers. My pump has a pressure gauge, but the numbers are pretty small. The best part of the Deluxe model is the tilting base! It allows you to compensate for wind so you don’t lose your rocket, and believe me, this rocket really goes high! One more thing… the launching mechanism is really cool. They use a hand brake mechanism with a cable that is a good 10 ft long, so you can stand back a safe distance. To launch, you just squeeze the hand brake. Other water rocket launchers that I have used require you to pull a string, which moves the rocket before launch. Not this one! The launcher comes with some screw on fins that keep the rocket on a straight course. Without the fins, the rocket will go up in unpredictable directions. Our first launch was at 40 psi. Rocket went up about 40 feet. Second launch was at 70 psi. Rocket went up a lot higher. Had to adjust the tilting base. Third was at 100 psi, boy did it go high! Apparently I didn’t adjust the tilting base enough because the rocket landed in a tree. The fins are a bright red, so locating the rocket was easy. We knocked the rocket out with a pole, and continued launching. Another cool thing is that you can upgrade the launcher by purchasing just the upgrade kit. I am thinking about upgrading to the Ultimate model! Overall this is a high quality product. It will last a lifetime. britt

So much better than the ones I played with as a kid
So much better than the ones I played with as a kid. We did a science birthday for my five-year-old in October, and his friends are still talking about how cool the rocket launch was!

Works great. The kids and i love it
Works great. The kids and i love it. Just watch out for trees. The fins get ot stuck easier and with the hight you can get you need some space.

A lot of fun
Finally got to use this with my boys. It was a lot of fun. Easy to assemble - had to use ample Teflon tape on every set of threads to stop leaks. Would definitely recommend putting the nose cone on, as it made the rocket fly much straighter and farther. With the nose cone, we got about 250ft at 70 psi. Bought the parachute but it failed to deploy half the time. - probably my fault. You definitely don’t want to use anywhere near and trees - especially with the parachute. I bought a cheap bike tire pump, but it I struggled to get it to 80psi (usually launched at 60). The pump started failing at that point. Will research better/higher rated pumps - and it gets tiring pumping after a few launches. No problems with the fins breaking but we were in a grassy park. All in all, a good purchase.
