If you are use to using the hard plastic connectors, this will change your world. Do yourself a favor and also buy the correct crimp tool so you are not damaging the connectors when you are installing them (the improper crimp can cut through the insulation and/or not provide a strong enough pinch to sufficiently hold the cable.)

These are some very good connectors. Little things like center lines on butt splices, good clear markings, and protective insulation on female spade connectors, makes a big difference in how I view an electrical connector. I'll be buying another one of these sets. I'm hoping that they sell the individual connectors as I use them up. Even the little tackle box is nice. You can spend a lot more money on other heat-shrink waterproof connectors and not get the quality or quantity in this set.

Just add tk this purchase the Titans and you are doing professional grade connections. The metal seems to be thicker and i scratched away some tin and revealed solid copper. The insulation/shrink material behaves superbly when heated (unlike many other shrink connectors that i have tried. VERY pleased with this product

A quality product. It has a dual wall plastic cover; the inner wall is glue and the outer wall shrinkable plastic. When heat is applied, the plastic shrinks (ratio 3:1) and the glue (polyolefin) melts to form a good seal. The best crimps are done with a ratcheting terminal crimper, which applies the correct pressure (see further below). There is a broad selection of crimps in the kit, both the type and the size (9 types in 3 sizes). A dual wall crimp saves space when that is scare, like on a boat or travelling remotely in a car. I take a selection of crimps in a smaller container to save even more space. The 540 piece kit has enough crimp terminals for most general purpose tasks around the boat or car. This is the best all round terminal kit I have purchased. There is a difference between a single wall and dual wall crimp, the glue in the dual wall gives a stiffer result with less movement, but it also improves the overall strength. If you an issue with vibration (like Outback Australia or Africa) a single wall crimp maybe better, as it reduces the damage caused by corrugations/vibrations by allowing more movement reducing the damaging effects of corrugations. Choose the best option for a given job. CRIMPING TIPS Some suggestions on getting good crimps: 1. Buy quality terminals like the Wirefy. 2. Purchase a good wire stripper like the IRWIN VISE-GRIP 2078300 Self-Adjusting Wire Stripper or the Klein Tools 11063W Katapult Wire Stripper. 3. Purchase a Ratcheting Terminal Crimper. If you want a variety of dye heads for different jobs look at the SG Tool Aid SGT18980 Ratcheting Terminal Crimping Kit. iwiss makes a range of specialist crimpers. 4. Strip the insulation from the wire to the correct length with the wire stripper (note how much quicker, easier and better quality the wire stripper is compared to a pair of pliers). 5. Match the Wirefy terminal to the wire thickness (important for good crimps). 6. Place the terminal in the correct dye in the crimping tool. I gently close the crimper to lock the dye onto the terminal but without compressing the terminal, then I insert the wire into the terminal and compress the crimping tool. 7. Using the correct size dye and placing the terminal correctly into the dye is important. 8. A ratcheting crimper applies the correct pressure to make a great crimp. 9. Use an electric/butane heat gun to shrink the plastic cover and melt the glue. I apply heat until I can see the crimp seal and a little glue comes out of the plastic cover. Wirefy terminals are translucent so you can see through the plastic to inspect the seal. 10. Let it cool. Job done. Test the crimp. 11. Common mistakes when crimping: a) not matching the wire size to the crimp terminal, b) not using the correct dye for a given terminal type, c) not correctly placing the crimp terminal correctly in the dye jaws. 12. Practice is important. Develop a good technique before using crimps in real life. I have cheap terminals and old wire and I practice to develop a good technique before doing a job for real. Test both single and dual wall terminals and see for yourself the differences in stiffness I discussed above. The initial cost of the tools can be expensive, but they will give you a life time of service. One job I did on my car, meant the tools paid for themselves. I wish I had brought them years ago! Buying the larger size kits like the 540 Wirefy saves money. I spilt the terminals between me and 2 friends – we all get a selection and a big cost saving. Buying terminals in small kits is very, very expensive. I have found more uses for the crimps than I originally thought.

Great product. I wish these had come out years ago. Ordered the 110 PCS and as soon as I used a couple I ordered the 540. Can't say enough how great they are. Fantastic for marine applications. Very easy to use and great results. For marine use they should be the "Product of the Year".

Ordered the 540 piece kit in the quest to find decent terminals on amazon cheaper than the cost of 3M terminals. The bad: The "red" color is more of a pink. The good: I performed the following test WITHOUT shrinking the adhesive tubing as to not bias the test. I used ratcheting crimpers with the appropriate dies as this product wouldn't fit my turret crimper. After making the crimp on 16 awg stranded ofc wire, the piece was placed in a pull tester and put under tension. To my suprise, the terminal passed and held well past 50 pounds of force. For giggles, I prepared another test piece and heat shrunk the tubing. Loaded into the pull tester, the WIRE broke at 87 pounds about six inches away from the terminal. Terminal still held strong. Overall: While obviously not the thickest metal on the market, these mic'd out at an impressive average of .030". The average chinesium brands sold on amazon are a thin .0159" in thickness and won't hold a crimp. Use the correct crimper and these will hold on like a fat guy to a donut. Trust me, I had to put my donut down to do the pull test. 10/10 would buy again.

I am a Marine Electrician in Florida , I use well over 100 electrical connections per week , until I found Wirefy connections it was a crap shoot buying discount electrical connections in bulk. Many bulk connectors do not have sufficiently strong enough metal memory to hold the wire in the connector, I have had to throw away hundreds of cheep connectors. I really like these Wirefy connectors they are good quality. I use many spade connectors , and Wirefy is made with a single piece of heatshrink that shrinks down tight on the connection end really protecting the connection , even the highest price Marine connectors don't do that. They also allow for a great profit markup at ten cents a piece , I can charge thirty five cents per connection " a 250% markup and my customers don't blink an eye because in a Marine supply store a comparable connection is one dollar. I just stopped by to order another 540 pieces and thought I would give you my opinion.

If you want to seal out the water, these are the ticket. I use them on the boat then paint any connections with liquid electrical tape. Zero failures. Overkill for the truck, but peace of mind afforded by a high quality connection is worth the extra time and expense. I also used these when building a wiring harness for converting a dirt bike to a street bike. I love them.

This was the best deal I could find on these little guys! I use heat shrink connectors a lot for school and just on my own vehicle and it’s really nice and convenient to have variety for just the right job. You’re getting your moneys worth and then some on this deal so don’t pass it up if you’re looking for a nice kit for school, work, or personal business. I recommend this product to anyone who does any electrical work. Great product, Wirefy!

It's kinda nice. I think I have enough connectors now for 3.5 lifetimes. Just finished a job and the connectors worked great. Had every size I needed and the heat shrink makes for a nice tight connection.
