Double Lazer Difficult For Quartz

Works fantastically! I bought same gun, different model, and the face plate peeled right off, so I'm glad I didn't have that issue with this model. Although the last gun only had 3 buttons, but had four button slots underneath the faceplate (exactly like this model), so I believe it was actually meant to be this model from the beginning. Can't say how accurate it is, but it serves my purposes, works exactly how I needed it to, although it can get a tad confusing pointing the double lazers at small, fairly translucent items, kinda hard to keep the gun pointed exactly where I want in that scenario.

Great little unit once you know how to use it

These things all basically work the same, but you do have to know how to use it to use it effectively. This one gives a LOT more flexibility for emisivity than others do. I don't know if it's overkill or what, but shiny metals could be .05 and plastic could be .95. If you don't adjust it, you won't get the right temperature. Some others have very little adjustment so I would have to guess this one could be more accurate. I have no way to test accuracy of it, but it gives me very sane numbers for things and has worked great on the things I've used it for. This isn't something I use daily, in fact I'll probably use it a handful of times a year. But it's great to find out JUST how hot an electronic part is, or a brake pad, or any other number of things. Good tool to have on hand.

Not sure why I never bought on sooner. I brew beer and need to check the temperature often. I used the glass thermometers and over time broke one and always had to sanitize them during the process. With this, it point and shot, Done. The I thought, let check the keg-orator temp. Now that is set better. My wife used it to check the refrigerator. Keep finding uses.

Perfect for reading pool temperature

Have only used the 1025D for a couple of days now and it seems to work great. Walk out to the pool, pull the trigger, aim it at the water and, bingo, it takes a reading which matched my in water thermometer. My only complaint is the beeping -- but someone in the questions section suggested opening the unit and removing the beeper, which I did first thing, and now it works great and stays quiet. Perfect for my use. And it's a great bonus that it an tell you if your electrical wall plugs have power or not. Good product all around.

Women, beware your husband will be taking the temp of EVERYTHING

Hubby's new "toy." It's very handy to have, gives a quick reading of the temperature (VERY handy with the circuit box on the RV) and also shows where wires are behind the wall. Hubby couldn't put it down for hours, was running around taking the temp on everything. Even used it when cooking on the grill that day. We keep it handy and use it frequently. Well worth what we paid for it.

Great Buy

This is a quality instrument and very accurate. I am thrilled with the quality of this IR temp scanner and voltage detector. It has a multitude of uses. I use it to balance the heating and air conditioning system in my house. I bought a cheaper make and the laser was out of sync so it going into the trash. The Etekcity has a dual laser so the IR scan cone can be aimed accurately. This was a great buy.

Good Tool for Aggragate Heat Measurement

This is a great tool for HVAC, electrical and Plumbing & Heating professional, Cocrete workers. This little tool has already paid for itself, has last function memory, dual C/F temp display and (T) Delta for figuring heat production and consumption values. And if you are tired of reaching behind a hot surface unit, with a Volt meter or ohm meter, then this tool is for you. I also bought one for home use, it's great for cooking with hot oil, barbeque and really so much more I won't mention here...

Great tool for cooking pizza

I purchased this thermometer for my Uuni Pizza oven. The 1030D is easy to use and a very quick way to determine the temperature of the pizza stone. As soon as the readings on stone reach about 850F, I am confident that the pizza crust will cook to a nice firm and crispy texture. I researched this device, and for the money there's not a better infrared unit on the market. 5 STARS!

No wonder my food took so long to cook!

This is a great way to see if your oven is really the temperature it says it is!.. Mine was off 25 degrees so I went on line and found out how to reset my oven thermostat--it was easy! Now my baked goods are ready in the right amount of time and baked perfectly! I also found that my freezer temperature needed to be reprogrammed!
