It is as described, but the description above says with ABS 17" hand operated yarn ball winder. It does not include a ball winder. It also does not include setup instructions. I haven't used it yet, but it opens and closes properly, and I think it will work just fine. It looks a little flimsy, but I think it will be plenty sturdy. It collapses into a small area. I think it work well.

A Real Time Saver

I am loving my Umbrella Swift Yarn Winder/Holder. I am making my yarn balls so much faster and more uniform in tension then by holding the Hanks of yarn on my arms as I wind now. I never saw where to download my ebook, so I never received it. I am telling and sharing with all my yarn friends about this great little tool and now I won’t have to shy away from purchasing the yarn Hanks out of dread of winding and getting knots in the process - there are none!

I ruined a very expensive skein of baby alpaca yarn ...

I ruined a very expensive skein of baby alpaca yarn before I purchased this winder. I received the winder today and between it and my electric boye winder I have wound 10 skeins of yarn in the past 2 hours. This is a must have if you buy braided skeins.

Great price, works well

There weren't any instructions included but I found it very easy 3set up and use. I'm sure the more expensive ones are probably fancier, but this was super affordable and works great. Save your money for buying more yarn and buy this one, it's good.

It is colorful and came in one piece, not broken.

So far I like everything about the Umbrella Yarn Swift. I will use it even more as I finish up the project I am working on now. Then I can really give it a spin.

The main thing to be aware of is you have to ensure your yarn does not get caught in the edges of the swift when you are winding. Otherwise the product is fine.
