This is a very useful product. It has 2 110v outlets and 2 USB slots all combined in a very compact way. It is a handy, portable inverter which is perfect for us because we travel a lot and sometimes working while on the road and we need the laptop plugged in all the time! It is so easy to use, I didn’t have to open the manual. It has a power and error indicator which is very helpful. Definitely a necessary purchase if you’re always on the go!

It's a nice little inverter that powers the LED TV and Bluray player in my motorhome. I chose the Ampeak 400w inverter for several reasons. 1. It includes two built-in 120v outlets eliminating the need for a power strip. 2. The outlets and the ON swith are on the same end of the unit. This is very convenient. 3. The external replaceable fuzes are a really nice touch and uncommon in this price point. 4. The case is tough and the built it mounting tabs allowed me to use screws to mount it. 5. The low voltage alarm warns me that I've left the TV turned on before the coach batteries go dead. A couple negative items to be aware; the low voltage alarm is sensitive when swithing power sources. Starting a generator will trip the alarm. Also, the bottom case is molded with a slight curve which makes it difficult to install mounting screws as the unit rocks back and forth. Probably not an issue if mounted horizontally.

Works great does just about everything I need it to but just recently I broke one of the leads from the cigarette lighter plug in does anybody know where I can get a replacement or a hard wire installation kit from this brand... I have used to thing every day in the semi to keep laptop charged and then as soon as I get out of the semi I plug it into my pickup and have used it on everything from phones to airing up an air mattress to even trying to run a small little hand vac... I've dropped it thrown it around accidentally left it outside in the rain and it still works barely has but a few scratches

So far, a very robust, well-made power inverter. I was impressed that it wasn't cheaply made and heavy. I also like it's ETL certified knowing you're not going to be facing some piece of junk that may burn your car down or something. There are a lot of options and having this in your car is good security for travel knowing you can hook up to any 12 volt car battery and get power or through your DC outlet lighter in your car. Lots of inputs with two AC, and USB ports. This thing was made for trucks and guys in the construction industry: heavy, well-made, durable and must have for any traveller or as back up for natural disaster situations. You can buy others, but this one is a good find. Highly recommended.

There are multiple wild fires around LA and many people we know have to evacuate. It's the exact reason why we bought this. It's nice to have a generator, but in evacuation, you are on the move and need some way to charge basic things like a laptop. Very grateful we have this. It has 2 power outlets and 2 USB outlets. It can be plugged into the cigarette charger in the car or directly to a battery. We have not tried to connect it directly yet but so far it is very helpful to have in the car.

Used on a family vacation trip and loved it. With two usb connections and two AC outlets, we had enough outlets for all our phones and gps. They were also able to plugin the laptop as they watch DVD movies. The cooling fan is a little loud when using the AC outlets but it's to be expected for it to function properly and not overheat. The usb outlets are 3.1 amps so make sure your cable chargers are rapid charge rated or it will get really hot. If you don't have a rapid charge cable, you would have to use the AC outlets with your adapters.

Was easy to understand, easy to use and worked as promised. I didn't ask a lot of it, I simply used it to power a built in air pump in a queen size air mattress that is rated at 200 watts. A 25' extension cord to run from my truck to the tent was used without any problems. I would recommend this to anyone.

I've had this (400 watt model) a week now and have only done a couple of function tests; so far so good. I use it to power a 32" LED TV, a 200 watt soundbar and a Blu-ray/ DVD player in my travel trailer. It will run them all at the same time with no problem. When not using the Blu ray player or off the over the air antenna, I use one of the USB ports to power an Amazon Fire TV Stick; again, with no problems. I also just use the 12 volt power plug to run the inverter. The fan does not run when the inverter is turned on, only when powering something. Now, the inverter does make some noise when it's little fan is running but you quickly get use to it. Or in my case, just turn up the volume! One of the things I really like about this inverter is that it has mounting tabs. I have it mounted to the wall below where my TV is mounted. I used a couple of small rubber faucet washers under each screw to help with vibration and road shock while traveling down the road. This also might help a little bit with keeping it cooler too by providing a air gap between it and the wall. I also got a three way adapter plug from Lowe's to be able to plug in the various size transformers. ( I really wish all the electronics manufactures would design a standardized size transformer plug that would fit the same anywhere!) This adapter also happened to match the orange of the inverter. I like it enough I ordered another to install in another part of my trailer to run another TV and my printer. I hope this size inverter becomes available again because I would order more for other uses. But, only time will tell how well and how long this inverter works. Especially inside a moving RV on the wonderfully well used roads in this country!
