Excellent camera's and customer service
I have had security camera's covering my property for about 4-5 years now. I upgrade a little bit at a time to keep them up to date. I recently upgraded some of my camera's and bought the 1080P SONY Exmor Sensor. As soon as I opened the box you can tell these camera's are heavy duty. I installed the new camera's and these have a nice crisp picture and the night vision is much better, I can see so much clearer and farther at night, it's awesome. Looking at the monitor from across the room you can pick out which ones are these camera's. Yes they are that good. Since the new ones are so much better, I will be replacing the other camera's with these. I do want to say I emailed customer service and they were very helpful. Excellent customer service is a definite plus for me. I highly recommend.

5 star for Support & Camera Picture
This is a revised review after I received an excellent support from Honic Service Team. When the Team read my first review below they contacted me right away. And in short they sent me a replacement camera before I could return the defective one.So far the replacement camera is working beautifully, I'm giving them 5 stars essentially due to Honic's excellent support. Each time I email them to ask question I got quick response even at night time. A product can be defective whether it's expensive or not, but if the support is good I guess most customers will appreciate more. And it's also a peace of mind because customers has confidence buying a product if the seller is behind it. Good job Honic Service Team. I hope the camera will stay OK because I am tired going up and down the ladder working on the camera. Addendum: Honic gave me a replacement camera for free. No company has done this so far. EXCELLENT! ========= I received this camera today, Sept 01, 2017. I hooked it up with 16-ft siamese rg59 to my DVR & it worked so I made the necessary setting adjustments as recommended but when I installed in with my existing coax rg59 approximately 120 ft away the camera just doesn't seem to have power. & no picture appears, even how much I adjust the camera setting and DVR setting. I have a 12-V adapter with 1000mA. This should be enough wattage. I am returning it.& I have to re-install back my old camera which is losing its night vision & will be searching for another camera My DVR is new from CCTV Security Pros that Supports Standard CCTV Cameras and NewHD CVI Cameras. I am looking for any compatible cheaper camera. Update, Sept 7.2017:: Camera works with my existing COAX wiring when the company gave me a 2A power supply. But another problem came out at night when the night vision starts to switch to black and white. The picture keeps flipping from color to black & white. The camera keeps ticking as if it cannot make the switch. So I am returning it for good. But the support I get from the company was really very good. I emailed my questions and the response were instantaneous For their excellent support I add 1 more star. But the camera I got was defective. I was unlucky.

I finally found one that works as good at night as it does during the day
I am replacing several older analog cameras, and have tested 20 different cameras. I finally found one that works as good at night as it does during the day. The ability to very easily switch between the formats with the joy stick is a real benefit as I plan to upgrade the dvr in the future. This is by far the best overall camera that I have tested. Great responsive service too. Stay away from digital watchdog cameras as that is what I am replacing.

Great Camera
I got this to replace one of my current cameras that was flaking out on me. Well it was a great replacement camera!! I will be getting more like this one. The Zoom feature is a little hard to figure out at first, took me 30 seconds to figure it out and then to get the fixed focus down. I could not only read the license plate number on my car in the drive but the little sticker telling what county I was in. I haven't seen if I can tell plates from the cars on the street yet. It looks so much nicer than the other cameras on the system, I can see me replacing all my cameras with these. The night Vision is outstanding too. One note, in fairness to my other camera that I replaced, It wasn't the camera but the wire going to the camera that was bad, I had to replace it in order for this one to power the IR LED as the camera would blink out when it hit night mode. I have extra wires and Channels on my DVR so the camera won't to to waste. My only gripe and this is a little picky is the Mount to attach to the wall does not pivit enough that you can mount it to the top of the eves (horzontaly) it is best to be mounted on a wall.

I didn't expect the ads to be true, but this camera far surpassed the ads and my expectations
I was only hoping for half the advertised hype in this camera's description. After being burned so many times and "making do" with so many other cameras, I was quite surprised that I was able to purchase a camera for 1/3 of the price I typically pay for cameras. PROs: >The picture coming out of this camera not only looks good, but when connected to test equipment, competes with some broadcast equipment. >No IRE overshoots. >No oversaturated colors on vectorscope. >Chip charts are right on. >Modulated stair-step from chart is linear. >What really makes this camera stand out is its ability to faithfully render an advanced Pantone color chart. >No color flare in lens >Excellent lens match to image sensor. Focus stayed sharp over full scan and from top to bottom of frame. But what about IR pics at night? This camera was an unexpected and pleasing surprise. IR images were actually "crisp" as described in the ad. I could even count the blades of grass around the base of the mailbox.Although it won't beat a REDs, it's pretty close, and its's a couple hundred thousand cheaper. Cons: As with all manual focus/zoom cameras I've encountered, there is almost an eighth of a turn of "play" before the focus begins to change when the adjustment is turned in the opposite direction. This is not a deal breaker, just an annoyance. What really is an annoyance is the fat that both the zoom and focus adjustments are allen screws, and both were painted with white paint, resulting in having to scrape away some of the paint by rocking the provided allen wrench slightly as you pushed it into the zoom and focus adjustments. In conclusion, I have to say that these replaced 2 GW motorized zoom cameras, and at 1/3 the cost, these cameras are far superior in resolution, color, OSD performance, and especially under IR illumination. These cameras have the sharpest image of any "night vision" cameras I have seen, and the daylight performance allows me to capture licence plates on moving vehicles with no problem. Update 8/14/2017 Ordered 8 more to upgrade 3 yr old Lorex security system. These cameras blow away the OEM cameras, especially at night. I found that the default settings were actually the best. These are the first cameras I didn't have to tweak. They just plain workerd right out of the box. Update 8/15/2017 The cameras are shipped with the top shade slid all the way back, allowing rain and bird sh*t to soil the lens. This shade needs to be gently loosened by prying the sides away from the camera body with a screwdriver a fraction of a millimeter, to allow the shade to be gently slid forward. See pictures below ---- Picture on left was taken after I slid the top (shade) forward. Picture on right showing the IR illuminators was taken when I first installed the camera, before I realized the shade was slid back. The shade I would not budge until I took a screwdriver blade and gently loosened it. This was not mentioned in the manual. Btw: This camera comes with all tools necessary for installation, including a good quality Phillips #1 stubby screwdriver and Allen wrench.

It's that big SONY Chip man!
I plugged this camera in yesterday and was amazed at how clear the picture was. I wouldn't buy this unless you need to get a clear shot and don't need wide angle. It can do wide angle but you would be wasting the zoom capability. I bought four different cameras to add to my 8 channel - Night Owl 1080p AHD DVR CCTV System. Compared to my seven other cameras of different manufacturers here are some things you should know: This thing is a HONKER. It is HUGE for a home CCTV system which I kinda love. You can pull the metal sun visor on the top to slide out and it looks even more aggressive. A problem I ran into with this camera was the zoom and focus (keep in mind that this isn't a PTZ camera so you can zoom and focus from your DVR) To control the zoom and the focus, there are two Allen wrench holes on the bottom of the camera that you have to adjust once the camera is in its final place. I knew that I was going to have to adjust the zoom first, and then adjust the focus second, all the while going up and down the ladder a million times to go check the TV but what I didn't expect was the Allen wrench provided to not fit at all. OK, no problem, right? I've got a million star fittings and small screwdrivers of every shape... None of them fit at all! I couldn't believe it. I was able to adjust it by brute force but I am thinking of super gluing a little knob on the Allen wrench screws because nothing will hold onto it tight enough to turn them. Maybe I am just a little slow and you will not run into this problem. Aside from that hiccup, however, this camera is doing just what I wanted it to do: Be inherently aggressive as my front of house camera and catch license plate numbers which my little bullets couldn't do.

Great picture, Very sharp compared to other bullet cameras I have. Solid case and mount, adjustable video, color and other options including color at night. The camera is bigger than a normal bullet so plan on that. Has BNC and power connector. I am using it in analog mode and it looks almost as good as it does when set up as a 1080p digital. Bought two of these and one Honic dome camera which is the same camera in a dome case. Also these cameras can be set at wide angle which is wider than a standard 3.8mm lens. I have been using security cameras for many years and these are the best cameras I have found. Edit 8/2019 two years after the initial review and the cameras are still working perfectly and I have replaced all of my older cameras with these!

Highly recommend - horizontal adjustment is critical feature
I just finished upgrading all of my stock annke cameras with this model. The key difference with this bullet camera is it has a horizontal adjustment which allows you to tweak the field of view 1000% better than a camera without a horizontal adjustment. No clue why more bullet cameras do not have this very important feature. Also nice metal construction. Had to hold the button down for 5 seconds to the left to get correct mode not in black and white. Had to make the wire hole a little bigger to fit the huge selection device into the wall. Must be a better way to implement that. But it was just a little notch so not a deal breaker. Very good resolution - much better field of view vs the stock annke cameras and much better clarity at night. Hopefully these hold up over the years! Highly recommend.

Great camera for the price. Just understand what your buying.
Purchased for $39.00 and installed Feb 2018. For the price you can't beat this camera. I have a (16) channel 1080p full 1920 x 1080 dvr. The cameras have fast response time. Minimal lagging. For mounting it comes with a hole template for the foot print of the camera. I set the cameras on ahd which gives it more enhanced colors then the tvi setting. Even in tvi mode the colors and detail are really good, just more of the natural color you see. It has a easy access osd to tune the camera. Blc, atw, etc. Long distance runs using cat5e. Over 100' you best find a more localized power supply for the camera. You will have considerable voltage drop. Set the camera to tvi mode, also use ahd/tvi/cvs baluns at both ends. To set the zoom and focus. The easiest way is remoting in to your dvr with your wireless device, (Wi-Fi) or you will drive your self crazy yelling and screaming back and forth at some one at your dvr monitor. You can end up sleeping on the couch or lose a friend doing this. lol The only pitfall is. With the irs night vision turned on. it drinks some juice. .65 amp (650ma) @12vdc. You best have a camera power supply to handle it.
