I had the same case for my Gen 2 iPad Mini for years and loved it, so I got one for my 2019 iPad Air. This thing fits like a glove. Access to all controls and camera is completely uninhibited. It's durable without being bulky, though I'm not sure how it would stand against being dropped (thankfully I've never dropped mine). The back side is matted with a slight rubbery texture that keeps it from sliding around all over the place without being sticky or attracting dirt & debris. The front flap operates as it should and isn't bulky or cumbersome when it's folded back during use. As I said, I love this case, and I will continue buying it until someone shows me something better.

Like most Apple product purchasers, I usually have to buy a cheap case off Amazon to protect my new device while reputable third party case makers get their products to market. This case is a serious contender to be my permanent case. The build quality is excellent. The device cutouts are precise. The material seems to be high quality and doesn’t have that “cheap” feel that most inexpensive cases have. The stand is extremely sturdy, in fact, its more sturdy than ANY Apple Smart Cover I have tried. The “Smart Cover” portion performs extremely well. Apple Smart Covers and Smart Keyboards have a tendency to slide up when you don’t want them to, like when putting device in a bag. On this case, the cover only slides up when I want it to. It’s not perfect, but it gets a 5 star rating from considering just how well it does perform and it only cost me 15 dollars. I would say that it is something I would expect from Anker, amazing quality for a very reasonable price.

Looks very expensive, sleek and minimal. I actually couldn’t believe that the inner side of the cover is black in color, made with a velvety material. Usually the cheap cases around have a different color on the inside flip, (often it’s light grey) regardless of the color on the outside. So this one took me a little by surprise because I didn’t expect it to look so nice! There’s a big difference between black+black and black+another contrasting color, believe me. Now this just looks really expensive and sleek. SO MUCH better than anything else I’ve seen on the market. The only thing is that it’s a bit thicker than I’d like it, because oh my god guys the thinness of the naked iPad Pro... but at the same time it provides great protection. Perfect for butterfingers like myself. Also the velvety material on the insider is likely to make dust look obvious, and the matte material outside makes oil look obvious too. But it has nothing to do with the quality of the product it’s just how things are gonna be if you want them to look nice. I use a lint roller for the inside flip and microfiber cloth to clean the outside, it’s easy. Also not to mention the price!!!!! Look no further, get this in black and you will not regret it I promise.

I purchased this case for temporary protection while I decide if I wanted a keyboard for my iPad Pro 10.5. All in all this is similar to the Apple case/cover for our iPad Air, but a little less built quality at a fraction of the cost. The case was $13 when I purchased. The case fits the body of my iPad snugly. The cutouts have adequate clearance for all of my accessories, except that I had to miter the edge of a headphone jack extender so it would fit. My apple headphones, lightening cable and pencil as well as my aftermarket headphones and lightening cables fit. The back has enough grip that I do not feel like it will slip out of my hand. The cover fits and is easy to open. The magnets are adequate to keep the cover in place, properly work with the auto on-off feature, and keep the cover in triangle mode when I want to use it as a stand. As a bonus, the case accommodates my Apple Pencil, see photos. I removed a metal pocket clip off an old Pentel mechanical pencil and it fits the Pencil perfectly. I place the pencil outside the cover where it meets the case. The clip touches the metal case and not the glass. The cover does not fit perfectly, but with a little coaxing, I am sure it will stretch and it will work/align perfectly. I am on the fence about buying a Smart Keyboard. So this case will likely remain until it either breaks or it is time to replace my iPad.

There is definitely a right and a wrong way to put this case on your new iPad. If it doesn't seem to fit, start over inserting it differently. Line up all the slots for buttons, speakers, and connections, etc, but you have to press it in just right, or one corner won't click in securely. I can't remember exactly how I did it, but it worked one way, but not another.

Good case at a GREAT price. Got this for $7.99 with free shipping. My wife got me an iPad 10.5 for Christmas along with the Apple cover case. I was worried because the Apple proprietary cover doesn’t protect the back of the iPad, only the top. On top of that, the Apple product cost over $70!! This case does the trick in that it protects both the front and the back of the iPad. Fit is exactly right with the cutouts in all the right places. The case snapped on easily and feels snug. The only criticism I have is that the cover magnet could be stronger. It mostly stays shut or with the cover folded all the way back against the iPad, it mostly holds but the magnet is pretty weak. That said, it’s certainly strong enough to hold the iPad in either of the propped up positions. In fact, I’m typing in the lower propped up position for this review. All in all, a small complaint for a case at this price point. Final note, the cover is not leather like the Apple cover, but that difference in material was not worth the $62 difference to me.

Very nice case for the price. The fit is perfect. All of the button and speaker cutouts are in the right places. All of the buttons (power, volume) are accessible, but protected from accidental presses. Once attached, the snug fit means that the case stays put and doesn't want to fall off. The case back is slightly thicker than the camera bump, so it protects the camera lens without getting in the way of a photo. The plastic case back wraps around to cover the iPad curve on the long side (opposite the hinge), but stop short of wrapping around on the short ends. Consequently, is does not protect the screen-side metal edges when the cover is opened up. This is OK for me, since a wraparound design would add to the overall thickness, and I prefer the thinness over the extra protection. The magnet works perfectly to hold the case closed, or wrapped around back to stay in place when used as a flat tablet. It also allows the creation of a triangle shape (like the Smart Cover) to function as a stand for typing or upright viewing. Held in hand with the back folded flat, the case does not have any sharp or rough edges, making it comfortable to hold for long periods. My only minor quibble is that the flipcover is permanently attached -- it doesn't come off entirely. This comes in to play when the cover is open, and you want to take a picture with the rear camera: the cover will either swing in the breeze (and jiggle your camera shot), or when folded in flat mode and held in place with the magnet, it covers the rear camera lens entirely. A workaround is to fold the last third of the cover back and hold it in place on the back side with one hand while snapping the photo.

Bought the new iPad 10.5 and needed a case for it. Bought the Smart Cover from Apple but I was looking for one that protects the front and back (especially useful for this iPad because the camera lens protrudes away from body of the iPad and appears that it could easily be damaged or cause damage if not protected). A customer at Apple overheard what I was looking for and recommended this product, saying he'd tried several and liked these. I was concerned about the fit of this case based on other reviews. My case fit the iPad perfectly. Between this product at $14.99 plus tax and covering front and back versus the Apple Smart Cover at $49.00 plus tax and covering only the front, this product is absolutely the way to go.

I read most of the reviews for this, generally positive but with a few saying the cutouts didn’t line up or the backplate really didn’t fit well. I figured I’d buy it since it was relatively cheap and at the time the options for other Pro 10.5 cases/covers were pretty limited and if it was horrible I’d just return it. When it showed up I was really happy to find that all the cutouts did line up great and the back plate fit perfectly. Time will tell how durable it is, but for now I’m really happy with it, the quality seems good, the materials feel nice, and everything lines up and fits just like it should.

Since I just received it today, I can't comment on its durability. However, everything else about it is terrific. The back case is a relatively hard plastic shell, coated on the outside with a soft finish that's easy to grip. The cover works well and provides the same support as an Apple case for extended viewing without holding the iPad. I can't say I noticed the various quibbles about location of cutouts other reviewers had, but perhaps I'm not so fussy! For the price this is a fantastic bargain and I wouldn't buy an Apple case if they bothered to make one given the difference in price. Highly recommended.
