Perfect fit & nicely protective
The fit is perfect. there's a magnet in the cover so, when you open it, the tablet wakes up (and, when you close it, it goes to sleep). There are properly placed holes/gaps for the speakers and microphone, sleep and volume switches. There's an elastic "handle" which I guess is supposed to make the unit easy to hold with one hand but it isn't positioned well for my hand (although this may be that I tend to hold it in a manner that makes the strap irrelevant ). The appropriate "crimp" in the cover and "tab" on the rear permit standing up the tablet for video viewing or whatever. It's not leather (no one said it was) but the vinyl feels fairly durable and it does protect the tablet when I toss it into my carry-on. I'll probably buy another for my other Fire tablet.

Pretty and feels like it will keep my Kindle protected.
The cover is a bit thicker than previous covers I've had but it's not an issue. The Kindle 8 just fits in my hand. The previous cover I had for my previous Kindle 8 had no easy way for me to hold the Kindle other than in across the width of my palm. I looked specifically for a cover that would have a hand strap. This one does and it's great. I take my Kindle everywhere so I can read while waiting. The strap makes it much more secure for sitting in offices where I may have to move quickly. The Kindle slides into the cover like it's going into a windowed envelope. Along the inside edge is a velcro strap that holds the Kindle in tightly. There is no worry that it will fall out or even pop out if dropped. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the cover is slick. It may be that it's just due to it being new. Otherwise I like the elastic that I can use to help keep the cover closed but it isn't needed with the magnets. The variety of positions you could put it in for games etc. is nice. All of the openings line up perfectly with the speakers, camera, buttons and plugs. As I said it is a bit thicker than my previous covers. The whole package is just a smidgen bulkier. That said it's a great cover that looks like it will last for years and keep my Kindle safe plus it is pretty.

One tiny issue, otherwise a near perfect cover!
Fits the 2017 Kindle Fire 8 perfectly. The stand is adjustable, and unlike my original Amazon case, there's a neat little place to "tuck" the flap in so it stays exactly where you want it. The auto sleep feature works like a charm, the design is pretty, it fits perfectly. My only tiny issue is that when I'm playing a game horizontally I have to reach under the cover to get my notifications. There are cutouts on the short ends that work fine when I'm reading or playing a vertical game, but the long sides do not have this. Its really not a problem, I can just turn it upright or reach underneath the case (which is soft enough to do so pretty easily), just thought I would mention it for someone who might use the Kindle horizontally more often than vertically, you might want to consider another option.

Careful design and workmanship make a real difference.
First, I love the design. It's fun, but from a short distance it's hard to figure out. The colors and texture add just the needed touch. I have had several kindles, all with covers. Most of them fell short of the mark . Last year I bought one of the slim covers, because I liked the look of the color fantasy tree. My Kindle did fit inside very neatly. but it kept turning itself, or so I thought. It turned that when I held it, my finger put pressure on the power button and turned it off. This one is the best design I have seen (and I have purchased close to the of them) The fit is exact. The openings are Placed Perfectly. The Material is higher quality than some others I really like the magnetic closure that puts the Kindle to sleep. My hands are weak from arthritis, and holding my Kindle for long session sometimes made my hands hurt or tingle. Now I can use the holding strap to maintain a grip with less fatigue. I highly recommend this product. Kelpie

Perfect fit and high quality at a reasonable price
I wanted a cover for my Kindle HD 8 7th gen that would have a nice appearance, protect from drops, close with no catches to fumble with, leave all ports and controls accessible, open to a stand, and turn on the Kindle when opened. And do it all at a great price. After a lot of research and reading reviews, I picked Moko. Boy, am I glad I did; this one does it all!! It’s very high quality and not some cheap Chinese knock off. Leather with white stitching outside and a nice soft brushed interior. Also has an elastic grip to slide your hand in for one handed use and an elastic band to hold a stylus. Top cover held closed by magnets with a backup elastic band which I don’t use. Moko really got it right on the quality and style as this looks like what a business man or woman would take into a board meeting. They also came up with a very clever way to get the Kindle securely fitted with out the fastening method showing. Peoplelook at it and ask how did you get that in the case? So bottom line: high quualify, stylish, and perfect fit protection for your Kindle at a reasonable price.

Best Tablet Covers in many colors and quality materials.
I have purchased MoKo tablet covers in the past. They are durable and very nice looking. All openings for the buttons, headphones, etc. are all in the correct place. You have a vast range of colors and styles and at about 1/3 the cost of other tablet covers. They can be configured to stand by themselves on a flat surface. There is an elastic strap on the back. You can slip one hand in which is very helpful for one handed reading. They have a magnetic cover over the screen and when closed, your tablet goes into sleep mode. I highly recommend them.

... has made a dramatic increase in the efficiency & enjoyment I now have with my new Fire HD 8
This case has made a dramatic increase in the efficiency & enjoyment I now have with my new Fire HD 8. I hadn't bother getting a case for my older tablet, not knowing how beneficial a good case could be. With my new Moko case, I never use my new Fire HD 8 without it. I really like the stand-up feature. It works very well, holding the tablet at the correct viewing position. This is how I use the tablet the most. When I need to hold the tablet in my hand, one-handed, the strap across the back of the case helps, although I have to admit that I don't find this as comfortable as I'd like. The external switches for on/off & volume control are easy to use, as is the USB-type charging receptical. What a difference this new case had made. I can't imagine using my tablet without it. Thank you, Moko!

Quality protection for your quality (new) Kinde HD8
Be careful in ordering. There are several different sizes based on the various models of Kindles. I almost made a mistake, but caught it before ordering. Mine came in, and it was absolutely perfect. Easy fit and a great look. It's a high quality look for my new Kindle Fire HD 8. It has a good leather smell to it, the stitching is just like my old Kindle HDX, which I have had for years, with no detached stitches. I expect this new cover to perform just like the last one. All of the cutouts are placed exactly correct for camera lens, power, headphones, power switch and volume controls to be easily reached. Once the Kindle is in, there's no reason to remove it. Perfect. And a good accessory buy. I highly recommend it and the new Kindle HD8.

MoKo and Fintie...
Same cases, similar prices, overlapping designs... yeah I couldn't choose. So I bought MoKo for myself, and Fintie for my mom. My case feels sturdy, fits perfectly, looks good. However the surface has a rougher feel to its Fintie counterpart. Not in a bad way - it doesn't irritate my hands or anything, but I prefer the smoother 'vegan leather' feel of the Fintie case. On the other hand, the MoKo case has an elastic band that straps the case closed, for a little extra protection that perfectly soothes my paranoia. Those are literally the only differences I could find. There was no review like this when I was trying to choose between the two brands, and with the minimal differences between the products I could see why. Still, here's hoping this helps somebody.
Pretty Swag
So far so good!
I received this case today and am trying it out as I type. So far it seems to be well made: the tablet fits securely while still leaving a tiny bit of room to take it out, auto sleep/wake works well, everything on the device (buttons, speakers, SD card, camera) is accessible, and the material is flexible while still remaining sturdy. I can see the inner handle being really useful. The stand design takes some getting used to; the viewing angle has the stylus holder in the air, while the typing angle has it facing the surface. This is my first tablet ever, though, so for all I know that may be a design standard for these cases. Anyway, once you get past that the stands work very well: I'm using the typing angle as we speak, and it's very sturdy. I haven't done a drop test, but this is my only tablet so I'll let someone else do that. ;P Be warned that the case does NOT have its own screen protector. So that's my first impression of this case, but so far I'm greatly satisfied.
