4E apparently is the right size for me now? Shoes are awesome! Super comfortable right away, these actually fit my wide feet. I've been having trouble finding shoes wide enough for my feet lately. Seems like most brands are going narrower and narrower. This is my second pair of 4E Asics in a row and they are just right for me. The shoes themselves feel great. Walking around in them right away made me happy I made the purchase. Comfortable, good cushioning but not too much. Great traction on these. The shoes roll nicely without having a super high heel like some shoes.

These shoes are great, especially if you need a wider than normal size (4E). 4 years ago, I tried many shoes at Academy and returned them. My feet hurt all the time. I knew I needed to lose some weight, but I couldn't walk with pain. I found these, they were the 5 series then. I was able to walk and lose weight and feel much better now. 5 stars for that. So I covered the goods, so I must state a con. I have to replace them every 5-6 months because the insides begin to give. This may not be the case with everyone. I'm over 220 lbs, near 40 years old, and experienced plantar fasciitis in both feet. I was just glad to find a shoe that enabled me to walk around more, even for only a few months.

For decades I’ve been using expensive ASICS GT series running shoes. Now that I am getting old and walking instead of running, I am finding that Gel-Venture sneakers are more comfortable for all day wear and just as protective, at half the price. They have the added feature of a covering tab to protect the top of the show from wearing out in the front due to “rising big toe” issues, the major source of wear on my expensive ASICS GT2000 series shoes, which lack this feature.

I dont buy these shoes for running I use them for work, standing and walking on concrete all day. These shoes are rated highly for this purpose and they do not dissapoint. My feet and knees feel so much better when wearing these shoes. The gel foot bed really absorbs shock and makes a work day much more bearable. I had the Gel Venture 5 before these and used them almost a year before they lost comfort, but the soles never even started to wear really, so they must use quality rubber. Also nothing started coming apart either, so far these Venture 6's are just as good. As far as size they fit true to size maybe even a bit wide as is most shoes I need a 2E but in these the regular DM fits just fine.

Absolutely love the ASICS Gel-Venture series - have owned Series 4, 5 and 6 now and will keep buying them! My evaluation below: Price: Unbeatable for a shoe of this quality Distance: Have been using these for 40-50+ mile weeks in NYC during 2018, previous versions have lasted 750-1,000 miles All-Weather Performance: have been using in all sorts of climates, but most recently the winter (including rain and snow) and spring Marathon Proven: have worn during Philly and NYC marathons, as well as a half marathon! I like that these have just the right amount of cushion without being bulky

These fit pretty well. I had a pair of New Balance previously that I really liked, but couldn't find a new pair that was acceptable to replace with. The newer NB to replace my old was poorly rated due to quality. And many other NB models either had quality issues, or were far too narrow (definitely not 4E). I have a wider foot and was using 2E before, but the NB 4E's were much too narrow (tried on numerous models). These Asics fit fine. I do have a fairly flat foot, so hoping the slight arch in these doesn't cause an issue. It is definitely a smaller arch than many other brands. Quality looks pretty good - time will tell. I will use for walking. I could recommend, definitely for those needing wider widths.

My feet are guilty of under-pronation (supination) and I purchased these based on the buying guide on Asics website. I've had them for 2 days now, and I can literally feel less leg and back pain due to the much better distribution of force when walking, and they're so light and comfortable that it almost feels as though there's nothing on my feet. I think I'm going to buy 3 or 4 more pairs, just in case Asics decides to discontinue this model. Best shoes I've ever worn!!

I absolutely LOVE these as my everyday work shoes. I'm required to walk approximately 6-8 miles a day and they fit perfectly straight from the box, not "breaking in" as some shoes I've bought in the past. They last me about 6 months before I need to replace them, but with the mileage, they're worth the price. They are the 3rd or 4th pair of the same style I've bought in row and will continue to purchase as long as they are available.

Out of the countless items I've bought from amazon through the years, I never would've expected a pair of shoes to be the crowning purchase to persuade me to write my first review, but here's why. For a living I work in a factory under the job title of "Services", what this means pretty much is I'm an assistant supervisor. For example I keep track of cut numbers, sizes, bundle count, product progression, product disposal, mechanical issues, on spot inspection, the list goes on. There's 60 some people from the start of my production lines, to the end, spanned around 26 different sections/stations that I watch over and maintain throughout the day. Everything from moving material/machines, to even going and getting them drinks and snacks. Essentially what all this boils down to is I walk, a LOT. I'm talking you see those Dr Scholl commericals where it's like "John walks 16,000 steps a week and to help protect his feet and back he uses Dr Scholls" and I literally laugh because I do 15,000 steps before my first break at 9 in the morning. I average 25-30 miles a day walking that concrete floor. I've tried almost every pair of insoles, shoes, and the like that you can think of sold between Walmart, Shoe Show, Boot Barn, and beyond. Now here's the reason I'm writing this first ever review... These Asics Gel-Venture 6 shoes are the FIRST and ONLY shoes that I've literally taken them out of the box, put them on, and managed to walk my full shift without having to change insoles or shoes all together. THERE IS NO BREAK IN TIME, they fit perfectly right out the box. I put them on at 5 AM the morning after I got them, and didn't take them off till my shower that night. Not only did they stay comfortable all day during work, but they kept my feet so supported and comfortable that I didn't take them off soon as I got through the door. That's saying a lot, cause even the $200+ dollar pair of work boots I have WITH a 100+ dollar set of doctor prescribed orthopedic insoles in them doesn't make it that far, yea they get me through work day pretty good but they come off soon as I hit the bedroom. These right here I didn't even have to change the "factory" insoles in. I literally took them out of the box, tied them onto my feet and was gone. My feet stayed nice and dry, they didn't fatigue or start straining halfway through the day, nothing. NOW, I will admit, there are some downsides for me and they are as follows: I do work in a factory, and these Asics, as amazingly close to perfection as they are, they are made out of a leather/cloth combination. Slipping a 2,000 pound loaded palletjacket over the toe of these will probably result in toothpaste toes compared to the nice sturdy steel toe of my boots. They aren't waterproof by ANY means. They do have really good grip BUT they are not slip resistant or oil resistant. Luckily my job doesn't require these factors, infact my job doesn't require anything other than "closed toe" footwear hence why I figured I'd give these badboys a try after having several coworkers recommend I get a pair. Another "downside" I would say, and this is more so just personal preference really is, I wish they made medium/hightop versions of these shoes, the extra ankle support would be amazing with these shoes. But yea, if these are requirements you need then you might want to keep looking however personally, I'd say find you a different job where you can wear a pair of these cause they are that amazing, Straight Out The Box!!

I like the ASICS brand, have used them for years. I use mostly another model which costs almost 3 x as much, and got this pair for a second location. This pair will see about one sixth the mileage of my old standbys. Fits well, comfortable running and a very reasonable price. If they hold up better than expected, I may shift to this model completely. My feet, like many people's, are wide in the forefoot with a narrow heel, and my expensive old standbys fit perfectly. The pair under review fit well if I take care to lace them up snugly using all the lace holes -- the heel does not slip around (wearing ordinary white cotton athletic socks).
