Worked like a charm and the quality is good, especially for the price. You can borrow tools like these for free (with a refundable deposit) from Autozone but it's a lot more convenient to just have these if you change your own breaks.

While doing my brakes, I realized that I couldn't compress the rear calipers like I used to on other cars. Apparently, many car manufacturers have moved to rear calipers which require pistons to be twisted while being compressed. Unfortunately, I found out with my rear wheel off of my car. Off I went to Advanced Auto Parts to rent their brake kit. It worked like a charm. It also can handle compressing front pistons that don't require twisting. So I bought this kit to have on hand in the future. The kit I rented had some additional tools unrelated to piston compression that I had no need for. Other than that, this kit is built as solid (or more) than the rented kit, it has more adapters, and was less than 20% off the cost of the rented kit. I chose it over the others on Amazon because it was the cheapest and had an additional adapter. I am very happy with my choice.

Excellent set, very sturdy and well crafted! Pieces are all magnetic which is extremely helpful!

Good tool to have. Worked easily for my 02 mini. I’d advise spraying a bit of wd-40 or other lubricant on the threads during use.

Excellent set. AutoZone was going to charge me $60 to rent something very similar. This set worked like a charm.

I messed around for about an hour trying to compress the rear caliper piston with a C-clamp just like I had done for the last 30 years...Once I figured out what was up, I bought the little square ratchet tool, but it didn't fit the rear caliper piston on my 2014 Police Interceptor. This think worked great, I'm not sure what some of the other reviews saying the quality was poor - this was not the case with the kit I received. Worked as advertised, excellent value for the price.

I purchased this disc brake caliper tool set when I was changing my rotors and brake pads on all four wheels of my 2008 Scion xB. It is a well made and organized tool set to adjust/remove the rear disk brake caliper piston. It consists of 18 disc adapters to fit most makes of automobiles, 2 different retainer plates and one right-hand and one left-hand turning adjusting bolts. A comparable set purchased at a local auto parts store would have cost 2 to 3 times as much. I will probably only be using this tool set once or twice a year but even if I only used it one time it still saved me money over having the work done at a shop. But then again doing the work yourself is not all about saving money, it's the pride and satisfaction of working on your car.

Amazing how quickly and efficiently you can do a job with the right tools. You can use a needle nose plier but run into the risk of damaging something.... In my case my pliers got a little bent since my calipers were a little stubborn. Ordered this kit and have done 2 brake jobs since in two different cars. Takes longer to remove and install the tire then it does to use this kit and replace pads.

This tool kit has made my last two brake jobs a lot easier to do. I bought this mainly to do my Ford Transit T250 disc brakes but just finished changing my 2007 Honda Civic disk brakes as well. This kit has Left and Right threaded clap threads that are a must for doing rear disk brakes. The rear brake use a screw in piston caliper to support the hand brake auto adjustment.

This caliper set worked very well ; it has many different sized pieces for different sized brake calipers. It was priced well.
