We started putting our child on the toilet (at home) when she was ten months old, and she first went after about two weeks! Yay! Once she was regularly going 2-3 times per day at about 11 1/2 months (trust me, she's still in diapers), I ordered this item to use when traveling. NOTE: For home use, I absolutely recommend "Bemis SLOW NextStep SLOW Closing Potty Seat)! Anyway, this blue cover folds up very compactly and now 13 month old is used to seeing it when I take it out of the diaper bag. A toilet's hole looks like a giant chasm without this cover in place! So even if you don't plan on placing your child on a toilet until they're 2+, know that it provides security for a very small, 17% percentile tiny tush. Even once a child is totally potty trained, I think continuing to have this on hand until they're entering kindergarten is a small parental gesture of love. lol (Would YOU want to sit on a giant toilet??) Some of the character's face is already coming off, but whatever. Using a separate, bulky kiddie toilet just doesn't make sense, and even the free-standing ones still require space to be set up, which is never a guarantee when traveling. I recommend keeping this product in a bag of some sort, with a couple sanitizing wipes for times you have to use a less-than-sparkling toilet seat. We use Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand and Face Wipes Singles, 24-Count (Pack of 5), which we got for $11.40 through Subscribe and Save, for 120 individually packaged wipes, for just 9 cents a piece. (I regularly refill small containers of hand sanitizer for our diaper bag and my purse, but there are certain 'tasks' that require a wipe.) Finally, I chose the color blue because a gender-neutral item is easier to resell in the end. Also, girls shouldn't always have to be associated with pink! NOTE: The six attached pictures are to show toilet seat size compared to very-common baby food product, and how I store ours before putting it in our diaper bag. Hope this helps! Happy toilet time!

This portable potty seat is such a life saver when we're out and about. My son is fully potty trained, but he's still anxious about sitting on the larger public toilets in shopping malls or restaurants. This makes him feel confident and comfortable when he has to go in public places, and he no longer will hold his bladder for hours when we're out of the house. So far, it has fit over every large public toilet we've needed to use it on including shopping malls, major restaurants, and even McDonalds and Chick-fil-a. It doesn't slip off the seat, and it has never pinched where it unfolds. The only thing I wish it had were little handles to fold out for my little guy to hold on. Cleaning it is very easy, when I get home I will soak it, and the clear bag, in hot soapy water and also spray it down with Lysol. I also recommend using the suggested toilet seat covers on this Amazon page with this potty seat.

It's so convenient, works great!

I'm not typically one to write reviews, but I thought this one deserved it. I was super skeptical about buying it. It looks like it would break easily, but I took a chance because it has fantastic reviews. Plus, we're flying to FL for Christmas, and I definitely don't want my daughter sitting on an airplane toilet seat. 🤮 So, I bought disposable sear covers and this to put on top of it. Anyway, we've only had it a day, but so far I love it. My daughter has a tiny heiney and can't really sit too far back on the toilet (she's always afraid of falling in), but when she sits too close to the front of the toilet, sometimes her pee exits the toilet, between the seat and the bowl, and dribbles down the front of the bowl onto the floor. 🤷♀️ Since we got this, I haven't had an extra mess to clean up. It folds super easy and has two small flaps on the bottom that keep it from sliding off the toilet. It stays in place! The only think that looks like it might be annoying to clean is the bottom. It's not flat, so you can't just wipe it with a baby wipe if pee splashes on it. It has a lot of small square spaces. So, it would have to be washed/soaked in the sink or tub.

My DD just recently started toilet training. We bought the laddered toilet seat for her, but since that's too big to take out in public, we needed something more portable. This product was great. The seat is a hard plastic and you fold it up in quarters and it tucks away in the small black drawstring pouch that comes with this product. Since it is hard plastic, it's very sturdy. My DD was able to sit on it with assist and it didn't slide all over the place or anything. It just stayed still. We bought disposable toilet covers, but most the times in public, they have those sheets on the wall anyway so we haven't needed to use our personal ones yet. You simply lay down the sheets (or your personal ones) on top of the toilet, then put this portable seat on top of that to prevent any germs or from your seat touching the public seat. The hole is perfect in that my DD won't fall into it. Cute colors and design. Great portable toilet seat cover, esp for toilet training toddlers.

Came exactly as expected. The carrying bags make it so easy to take everywhere with us and may seem like a silly and trivial thing, but it is really helpful while out and about. There are no gaps in the seat that could cause pinching or discomfort. It doesn’t slip or shift, it’s very sturdy and secure, and that alone is well worth the few extra dollars when compared to some of the other cheaper, smaller, lower quality seats I’ve seen. So far, it has fit great on every toilet we’ve come across, and we’ve come across A LOT of different toilets while running errands around town. I wish I would have bought this months ago, it’s so much easier than holding a toddler over a toilet to keep them from falling in! This had made potty training while in public so much easier on both of us. Every parent needs one of these, especially those with skinny or petite children.

We use this with disposable toilet seat covers (link attached below). Love it! No slipping, even with a wiggling 22 month old child sitting on it (I do hold it in place while I set my daughter down on it, I don't want to chance her falling in, but stays in place well once her weight is on it), and the toilet seat covers keep it clean, it sits neatly right on top of the cover. I keep it in the storage bag that came with it, but I suspect it would fit into a big Ziplock freezer bag as well, it folds down into 1/4 the full size. The covers keep my little one's hands off of the disgusting public toilet seat and basin (where the toilet seat has that gap in front). We have used many times and it's perfect. My daughter is 22 lbs with a TINY bum and hips and this supports her well. I would highly recommend!! (Also, I use Post It notes to cover the automatic flusher sensors and they work great! Got that tip from Oh Crap! Potty Training by Jaime Glowacki. BEST. BOOK. EVER. by the way!) Toilet Seat Covers- Disposable XL Potty Seat Covers, Individually Wrapped by Potty Shields - Extra-Large, No Slip (Floral- 20 Pack)

This has been the best thing! When I started potty training my daughter I honestly didn't know what I was doing. I thought I had watched enough YouTube clips and read enough article to give it go though. We started out good! Because she was mainly using the potty at home. If we went somewhere, we were never really gone that long, so she held it till we got home. Even though I'd ask her while we were out if she needed to go. Well I didn't realize she was actually not fond of public bathrooms (I mean who can blame her). We this fun little Owl with its pretty colors was enough of a distraction to get her to go into the bathroom AND go! So it's helped her to get over her fear and helped me to be less stressed about how long we've been out in order to avoid accidents. I would recommend this to any new mom that also feels like she doesn't know what she's doing! But get this before you start potty training. And make your child use it from the start while out so they are used to it.

Quick shipping. Affordable. Cute! My 23-month-old was so excited to open the package. He’s began exploring the bathroom and is excited about potty training. He loves the owl. The company seems to have heeded previous reviews and has included a thick, plastic zip bag that fits inside the discreet black canvas drawstring carry bag. The seat itself is made of rigid plastic that is lightweight. It folds open and closed with ease. There are four rubber non-slip pads on the bottom as well as two fold-out black tabs for added stability. I appreciated the review that reminded to point the little guy down as there is no spray guard cup. This is my first boy and those tips are sanity savers! We have an oblong seat and it fits fine. I plan to use it at home as well as out of the house. Its compact size is great for small bathrooms. I plan to follow the advice of putting a seat liner down beneath the seat while in public while keeping sanitizing wipes handy.
