Great backup camera for the price! Customer service was excellent. They checked in with me after my purchase to see if I had been able to install it correctly. I have it installed in a 2009 Expedition, so it’s a long vehicle. They sent a longer cable via UPS at no extra cost and it arrived in a few short days. The hardest part of the install was just me routing the wiring through the vehicle so the wires are hidden. A little bit of electrical knowledge is helpful to ensure your connections are solid and the power is running through them. Other than that, it’s a great little unit. I feel so much safer backing up. The visibility directly behind my SUV is very poor without the camera. I would definitely buy another one from this seller in the future!

My husband's Honda Insight is a great little hybrid vehicle, but one flaw is how little the driver can see out the back window (similar in shape to the Toyota Prius) while backing up. He's been complaining about that for some time and I had the same problem when driving his car. It's a serious safety issue. When I found out how inexpensive backup cameras are, I bought this one as a gift. We had a mechanic install it, and rather than put the screen on a stand, we had the radio unit removed and the screen installed to replace it. A microphone mounts above the windshield. Our smart phones connect via a charge port using an app called CarPlay, or by Bluetooth. Using CarPlay, we can use the Maps navigation, listen to audio books, and take a phone call if needed using the screen. The unit can also access local radio stations. The backup camera appears to be infrared. It shows an outline of safe, warning, and danger zones (as in, you're much too close) while backing, and adds some much-needed visuals when trying to back out of a downtown parking space into traffic.

Bought and installed this a couple weeks back. I am constantly backing my truck up and hitching to various types of trailers. This backup camera is a life saver. I don’t have to get in and out of the truck to check distances. I wired the power for the camera to my reverse lights and power to the screen from my fuse panel. Installation should have taken me less than an hour but I had difficulty in splicing my wires (highly recommend buying wire splicers from your auto parts store). Have been using it daily and no complaints thus far. Great value.

I am using this backup camera on my MF4707 tractor. So far it seems to work really well and I am glad that I bought this one. I have been able to use the camera in both the front and rear of my cab tractor, depending on what I am doing, so that I can better see the ground. When using it in the rear, it enables me to view what is going on behind me without having to constantly be looking back, or into my rear view mirrors. I have also used it in the front of my tractor when sitting my pastures and fields so that I won't accidentally hit any wild life, like fawns, as they will merely sit there and if you don't see them then you know what happens next. Anyway, I like the setup and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting additional viewing capabilities as it does the job. I'll post some photos a little later after I have permanently mounted it. Wiring is also easy and I am using a 12v cigarette lighter extension that I also bought here on Amazon. I just plug it in when I want it on and unplug it when I don't. Easy peasy.

For $25 it's an awesome little system! Installed in about 1/2 an hour once I figured out what wires to use on my truck. 03 1500HD on either of the tail light harnesses use the green wire for power from reverse lights and black wire for ground. Run the wire along the frame. Go through the grommet for the shifter cable under carpet in driver's floorboard. I mounted mine on the bottom of my dash and used the cig outlet power source. Very pleased with this system. The screen is not as grainy as the pic makes it look. Just as clear as my wife's 2014 fusion.

Thought I was taking a risk on a low cost backup cam like this, but it looks like faster/better/cheaper applies to a lot of electronics these days. I have an SUV so running the signal wire from the rear license plate to the front of the vehicle was less than 9 minutes from out of the box and first active view. The license plate mount went with the top two license plate screws, and I was able to run the signal wires into the cabin without drilling any holes (YMMV) I went with "On Demand" installation instead of "automatic when Reverse Lights Illuminate" which is more standard. I like it that way, so I think I'll keep it that way. It's very cool to have that option. It's illustrated in the listing pix. Once you prove to yourself that the whole kit works to your satisfaction, you might want a set of body panel tools to tuck the signal wires under the trunk carpet and over the head liner. This set of body panel tools https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D5BLB1P/ is $8. You can pay more or less on Amazon.com. Harbor Freight also has options. I covered the wire between a gap in the SUV lift gate gasket and the cam with black duct tape - $1/roll from Dollartree. I'll probably have to replace that once a year, or drill a hole in summer.

There were a few reasons I picked this backup camera, besides the price. The description said that the pedestal could be removed. This was important to me because I wanted to use a different mounting system for my vehicle. I sent an email to customer service and they quickly responded with a video that showed how to remove the pedestal without breaking anything. Also, there was a very helpful wiring video that allowed me to mount this in my car with no other questions. It was very easy! I didn't want to connect mine to the reverse lights, instead I wanted mine to be off/on whenever I wanted it to be on, because there are times on some roads that the additional view can eliminate blind spots for lane changes. There are 2 small things I wish were a little different (but not worth reducing the star rating)… 1) I would like the cord that comes from the LCD monitor to be a much longer skinny wire so I could more easily hide the connectors under the dash or something. It's okay but a longer skinny lead would make wiring much more elegant. 2) I would like to be able to turn off the parking guides. This isn't a big deal but since I use the camera frequently as an extra rear-view mirror, the lines are less necessary for me. As for the picture quality, it's much better than a previous unit I had from a different maker. The day AND night vision are surprisingly good. You should note that, during the day with bright light, green trees will appear purple, but most everything else is accurate colors. This is probably because the camera is tuned to be able to see infrared so night vision is very good. I'm okay with purple trees and grass as long as I can see what's behind me in my blind spots. Summary: The camera and LCD are amazing for the price. The customer service response is quick and the answers usually come with an explainer video for clarification. The operation and installation are very easy and I am happy with this purchase.

Got it for pickup truck that didn't have a stock backup camera. The clarity of screen is great, install was super easy. The guidelines when backing up are a bonus, wasn't expecting that. Screen fits perfectly on the sun visor so it's not crowding dashboard. Just flip visor down when we need to use. Product shipped really fast and arrived packaged securely. Would recommend.

Great product. Easy to install. Works great. The picture and clarity are superb, even at night. I purchased 2 of these units for my families vehicles and it only took about 15 minutes to install. I love the fact that for such a great price, you not only get the camera which quickly mounts over your rear license plate, you get the 4.3 inch, larger size viewing screen/monitor as well. A similar product, camera and monitor sells for over $100 on Walmart.com website. If your looking for a great back up camera kit, with everything included, then the Emmako Backup Camera and Display Monitor is the way to go!
