Roommates entering your room without permission!!

Tired of my roommates entering in my bedroom taking my staffs without permission!! This camera fixed my problems! Easy way to install just download the app iMegaCam and follow the steps to set up the IP camera on page 5 (Quick start guide). I set the ip camera via wireless connection make sure your device is connecting to 2.4 G wifi signal otherwise will be imposible to connecting to the wifi and remember the "UID" and "Password" will be locating on the bottom of the ip camera. Important "TIP" while you are connecting the camera make sure to move your cell phone closer to camera and turn up the volumen to get a better and faster connection.

Great Value Surveillance/Security Camera.

Pretty difficult to make any complaints about this thing for how little it costs. Make sure you are capable of setting up a 2.4ghz wifi - it will not work on 5ghz. You will also have to connect your phone to the 2.4ghz wifi upon initial set up. After that initial setup, you will then be able to access the camera through your phone from anywhere. You can control the camera movement from your phone, capture pictures from your phone, save recordings from your phone, speak through your phone to talk to someone that is with the camera, etc. You can also set it up to notify you when the camera detects any motion. I haven't messed around with it enough yet to figure it out completely, but I know you can also set it up to record when it detects motion. I just need to set up storage to connect to it. It's a clear picture both in the light and in the dark. Would definitely recommend this if you want to take a cheap route to security/surveillance. I wish it had the ability to run off of battery, but again, at this price point, hard to complain about little things like that.

Motion Detection and Night Vision! Easy to setup,and a great value! Outstanding!

I bought two of these. The Night Vision is excellent, the motion detection is also outstanding. You can set it to automatically record and time stamp when it detects motion. It will also take a snapshot and email it to you. You can monitor this with Android or iPad. I have it on my iPad and I am amazed how sensitive the cameras are. You want to set it at medium, because the other setting are too sensitive, even on low, it is sensitive to motion detection.. A breeze will set off the motion detector, but that can be very good depending on how you want to use them. They have a cat 5 connection in the back or you can use wifi. It takes up to 128GB micro SD cards and that is what I have in both is the 128GB cards. You can record a ton of videos with that much space. They were very easy to set up, and there are many options for you to set them up the way you want. For what I need them for, they are outstanding, and the night vision is way better than I expected. I give them 5 Stars for my needs and believe me, I researched a ton of these type of cameras before I settled on the Tenvis HD IP Cameras, and I was not disappointed, a great value! There are a some tips to know, like seeing the video files online that you can download or just watch them. they are very good quality on low light or none at all. I change the .264 files to .h264 files so I can open them with VLC Media player. A free download, plus use the app iMegaCam on my iPad. I then can rename the files to the .h264 extension and watch with free VLC media player. So far I am impressed with these. I bought two. Once you have them setup withe app, it is easy to configure. Plus Technical Support is outstanding. I still need four more cameras, and you can bet, they will be these cameras.

Just what I needed.

Just got two of these in this afternoon. I had ordered two of a different brand about a week ago and they were a pain to set up- one never would set up right- and the feed would go in and out and worked about 10% of the time- at best. So far..... I set both of these up in straight up 7 mins total, in two different rooms, of course, the feed, picture quality, panning and scanning is FLAWLESS!!! Tried taking pics and video and works great too! Oh- love the time/date stamp on there too! Our sweet rescue dog has seizures- so I have wanted a means to monitor her for a while- and the set of these cameras is going to be absolutely perfect to fit that need! Oh- and I can spy on the kids when they're home alone, too! Lol. ONLY thing I wish was different-- the cord is a little on the short side- but I'll take that one con for the ease of setup and flawless picture and functionality!!! Straight up would recommend these cameras in a heartbeat!

Great for the money

Bought it to spy on my dog I just adopted. Works great, camera is decent quality. If I wanted to be really nitpicky, it sometimes is a little slow to respond and the movement swipes in the app take a while to move your view around. Very easy to set up. It also makes an audible noise when moving around and also clicks when going from normal to infrared.... Which I found out my dog can hear and then proceeds to bark furiously at (which is no fault of the camera, see attached screenshot

Change of Mind

I received two of these today and was very excited to set them up.. I repeatedly attempted to get my router to pick up the wifi signal. My router is 5 gig and found out in faq (posted after I ordered) that these don't work on 5 gig router. I called Amazon to set up a return, which they set up. However, I decided to call the router manufacturer for help. After speaking with them, I decided to give the cameras another shot. I switched to 2.4 gig and both went online. Fantastic. After that, the rest of the setup was easy and they are working great. The only thing I haven't observrd yet is the night vision. Based on performance and ease of use, giving these cameras 5 stars, and cancelled my returnTenvis HD IP Camera - 720P Wireless IP Camera with Two-way Audio, Night Vision Camera, Smart Camera for Pet Baby Monitor, Home Security Camera Motion Detection Indoor Camera with Micro SD Card Slot. Addendum (Since I am unable to write a new review). I love these cameras so much, I just purchased two more. Fantastic, easy to set up and use. I would give these cameras 10 stars if I had the choice!!!!

This thing works fantastic as a baby monitor as well

I was hesitant at first to order this camera because of the price. I have another wireless IP camera that costs more than 2 times what this one does. Since it has a lot of good reviews, and since I needed a less expensive baby cam, I gave it a try. It was very simple to set up on my wifi and the iMEGA Cam app works great. We are using an old android tablet as the "TV" to watch our little one sleep. It's very easy to turn the camera to get it in the right place. Another great plus for us is that while that baby is quiet, we do not hear any static coming from the camera's audio. But the second she starts to cry, we hear it loud and clear. The camera produces a great picture at night with the infrared lights, better than any dedicated baby monitor I have ever used. FYI: That is not our baby in the picture, but a good approximation of the terror she causes =)

Excellent camera, I bought one to test out using ...

Excellent camera, I bought one to test out using my eithernet to the router, it took some trial and error to get connected but it did connect. The instruction booklet was very tiny, it's like 2" x 3" and the text in it must be 2 point font. The video is extremely clear, I find about a 1-2 second delay which is probably normal for all such cams, and the moving the cam with your iPhone pad is the opposite way you normally move images around on iPhone, you have to think in terms of which way do you want the CAM to MOVE not the image- and move your finger on the screen accordingly because it's exactly opposite of what you would do when viewing photos. I have the free app on my iPhone to connect when I'm at work, haven't tried out the alarm/email notifications, recording, snapshot or SD card yet but I'm definitely going to order more of these! Update 8/11 I had ordered a second one of these which arrived today, my 35' cable didn't get here yet to install the cam by the front porch/driveway, so I just connected it in the laundry room where the router is so I could get it set up and running. The addition of the 2nd cam was even easier as all the setting up, connecting to the ip address in the router and setting up the software was already done on the 1st cam, to add this 2nd cam I only had to plug it in and scan the code on the bottom of the unit with my iPhone's Tenvis app open to the add cam/scan code, it instantly read the code, added the cam and I logged in to change the password. I'm definitely going to be buying 2 more of these, 1 for the basement, and the other for another location in the house, I LOVE being able to log into the cam at work and check on the dogs and what they are doing. If I had any complaints at all about the cam, it might be that when you go to move the cam with your iPhone screen, there is a fairly large jump in angle of view with no fine adjustment, not abig deal since it can be put where you want it on the mounting bracket and then iPhone rotate to look around but can return to that initial ideal view angle you set up on the bracket. So with the cam on my desk, I got a view of my keyboard in the foreground, and trying to nudge the cam up just a little- it would move up further than I wanted with no sweet spot between the two. But like I said, minor thing easy to deal with by setting the cam on it's included bracket at exactly the angle you want and then you KNOW it can return to that angle when you want it to.

Great deal, great product, buying another one as a gift

Works great easy to set up blends quite nicely with it's sleek modern appeal. I had it sitting next to a Xbox and dvr in a curio and Friends didn't notice the active cam until I pointed it out. Those that did asked if it was part of my xbox like a connect add on. I haven't gotten a chance to test out it over web viewing from a long distance, however over my wifi it runs smoothly. WAY better than other brands I own. Wish I had bought this one first, I got this one on sale, just ordered another and would pay full price no problem. It's mounted to the ceiling in a my basement and it works great as diy PTZ camera, could easily spend 100 dollars on a PTZ of this quality. I sold the other cameras I had and bought these, I have to hand it to Tenvis this product is amazing and with the lovely warranty I'm worry free. I can keep an eye on my child from anywhere i have signal or wifi and can communicate with her over the mic without delay or distortion I've gotten from other brands. As an added plus it's awesome for detouring break ins.
