Needed a nice, understated, classy carry-on that I can roll around the airport, but can fit underneath the seat in front of me on the plane. Last trip, I carried a very heavy carry-on and it hurt my shoulder after wandering around the Honolulu airport for multiple hours. Did you know Hawaiian Airlines is always the very last gate at the airports? :( When this one arrived today I was pleased as punch! It is nicely quilted and the handle comes out a long ways so I won't have to bend over to roll it. Yeah wheels! w00t! :)

I've looked at a few of these underseat bags, and this has all the same features as the rest of them (Samsonite, London Fog). This holds more than you think. You can use it for an overnight trip for clothes, toiletries, an extra pair of shoes, a Kindle and some snacks! It fit under the seat perfectly in a Boeing 757 Economy Plus Seat. It did not fit it a tinier jet (the kind with only 1 seat on 1 side of the aisle and 2 seats on the other). It DID fit in the overhead compartment on that tiny jet. The reason I love this luggage is that I can tuck my slim Baggalini purse inside, loop a second tote on top of the telescoping handle of this luggage, and NOT HAVE TO CARRY ANYTHING through the airport. As an aside, I purchased a Samsonite version of this bag from Amazon, and the telescoping handle didn't work. I purchased a London Fog, and the zipper broke on the first trip.I'm thinking this Amazon version is the winner!

This bag is nuts! A zippered pocket on each side. A front zippered pocket large enough for your passport, boarding pass and wallet and keys. An inner large mesh also zippered. But best of all a three zippered compartment held in place with velcro. Room for makeup, gels, liquids. Ordered Sunday, arrived Weds. Buy it.

This worked great for me and was exactly what I needed for an underseat bag. There were a few things I didn't like and I'll list them later in the review. First of all, what I loved: I was tired of lugging around a backpack on trips and was looking for an underseat bag to replace it. I was really surprised how much easier this bag made my trip. No trying to maneuver my backpack or lug it around. Just pull out the handle on the bag and off I go. And it looks better than a backpack too. This fit under a Southwest window seat with room to spare. There was even room enough for me to squeeze my purse to the side. There was also room between the bag and the seat, despite the fact that Southwest's measurements seemed to indicate it would be tight. There was room for me to fit my small 11 inch laptop in the main compartment of the bag and a few changes of clothes. It rolled easily and was easy to maneuver. I loved the way the handle fit neatly in a pocket. Even though it was the first time I used it, I had no trouble telescoping or storing the handle quickly. The strap on the back allowed me to stack on top of other luggage. What I didn't love: I don't think this has as much room as my similar sized backpack, probably because of the hard sides and handle storage. I don't think it would carry more than enough than for a quick weekend getaway. But I was just looking for a bag for a few items and my laptop that I could store under a seat so that's not a big deal. The AmazonBasics logo is pretty prominent and I didn't realize that. Okay, that makes me a bit of a snob but I'm letting you know. The front pocket is a little small. It really only is large enough for paperwork. The access through the top has advantages and disadvantages. It is very easy to get into when you're on the plane or going through security, actually much easier than my backpack, but it was kind of awkward to pack. It won't hold laptops of much larger size. If I ever wanted to take my 17 inch, it would not fit in this bag. I'm very glad I bought this. It made my trip much easier.

This case is really wonderful. I ordered another brand as well, because I was unsure of the AMAZON BASIC brand, but I was very happy with this item. The fabric is heavy and the numerous pockets were well thought out and executed.

I travel minimalist and wanted a weekend bag that met 4 criteria: 1) Fit the smallest standard travel space: under an airplane seat. The ultimate carry-on. 2) "Roller blade" wheels that roll down city sidewalks with the same ease as smooth airport floors. 3) Assortment of right sized, accessible pockets and removable toiletries bag. This is a "goldilocks" thing. Not too many, not too few. 4) Sturdy build quality. To find "The One Bag", I had to consider the choices carefully. I looked at the mall and department store selections and found almost all to be many TIMES the price without providing much if any more bag for way more money. Attention Brick & Mortar: This is why you are failing! Because of the "roller blade wheel" requirement I narrowed it down quickly to 2 nearly identical bags: The Amazonbasics and the Samsonite small underseat. The important differences between these two is that the Samsonite has more zippered pockets and comes in 3 colors while the Amazon is only currently available in navy blue. The build quality is nearly identical, and is more than acceptable. Either should last years with proper care. The Amazonbasics bag won handily because of price. Although price wasn't a primary consideration I saw no reason to pay more than necessary and not one of the other bags met the criteria as well overall, even a BigName mall bag costing $360+tax! The Samsonite came close because I liked its colors better but lost because it was almost double the price and had more pockets than I wanted. I am learning to like navy blue and my wife was so impressed that she got one too. High praise indeed!

I have gone to a 20” Carry-On suitcase that I can easily put in overhead plane bin but now not enuf room to bring my stuff. Saw this Amazon underseater with piggyback strap. I think my prob is solved. It is not too big and fits just right on my small suitcase. Some underseat bags were still to big. This one is fine!

I bought this bag because I fly Spirit quite a bit. I used the bag for a 3-day weekend last month and kept the toiletry bag attached. I really had to simplify my toiletries to fit them in the bag, but it worked. I just tucked the stuff that didn’t fit in the front and side pockets. I had the opportunity to take the bag for a 5-day vacation last week. I wear a size 14 and/or a size large. (I just want you guys to know how much you can get away with.) I went to Colorado which is a place where you really don’t know what the weather will be like. Makes it harder when you have a small bag. I had to remove the toiletry bag and put my regular bigger toiletries bag into my husbands big suitcase. Below is what I was able to fit into the bag: 2 pr jeans 3 pair capri pants 4 T-shirts 2 long sleeve tops 1 pr slip on shoes 1 pr flip flops 1 bathing suit 1 belt 4 underwear 5 pr socks 1 bra 1 pr Capri yoga pants The bag rolled very smoothly and was balanced well. It didn’t tip over or anything. Even filled to the brim, I was able to lift it into an overhead bin. I didn’t try to fit it under the seat in front of me because it was pretty full. I think it would have fit if it wasn’t so full. (Spirit) I really like the bag and was surprised how much I was able to fit into it.

I am a stubborn, obstinate woman who refuses to pay for luggage. Since Frontier runs a bunch of direct flights back to my old home town, I travel on Frontier a lot, and as you may know, they charge $30 for carry on luggage. This fits perfectly under the seat. Of all the luggage I've tried to carry on under the seat of my Frontier flight, this fit the most and was easiest to organize. If you load up the side pockets it gets wider, so I was able to fit my purse next to it under the seat, but your mileage may vary. I use a mini messenger bag style purse, so it's flat and rectangular, you would want to make sure you use a slim purse with this. The side pockets fit shoes, as long as they're flat, again, this makes the bag wider. I packed my Tom's in the sides, but anything similar, ballet flats, Chuck Taylors, Keds, etc will fit in the side compartments with room to spare for socks. I think I'm going to get some different luggage cubes to fit better in this, with the right luggage cubes, I'm sure I could fit 4 days of carefully planned clothing in here. I think the slim narrow rectangle cubes would be the right ones. Then you could put 3 luggage cubes vertically in it with a small makeup case. Toiletries in the attached toiletry case.

This bag is everything! I was able to pack three pairs of pants of jeans, two dresses, four shirts, night clothes, underwear, an extra pair of shoes and toiletries with some room to spare! Definitely worth the money.
