Just what I needed for these aging eyes. Good for modelers, lapidary maybe, coins, etc.
Much more comfortable to wear than I thought it would be. I wear glasses and the nosepiece on this needs to sit in between my glasses and the bridge of my nose. It was awkward the first time I got them on, but that was the only time it was trouble. There is a strap to go around your head, but I don't think it's needed (but it's there if I ever do). The 1X and 1.5X are very comfortable to use, the higher magnifications work fine but I don't know that I'll ever use them, maybe the 2X. 3 AAA batteries are needed for the light (not included). It's seems to be A-OK.

What a Smart Purchase I Made!
This is exactly what I needed. Ever since having lasik cataract surgery I can only read books that I can add to my Kindle and I am unable to continue with certain crafts. The surgery necessitates very bright light for both activities and still I had difficulty. With the weakest magnification insert I am able to read actual books and return to counted cross stitch. I’ve even used it to read fine print on my iPhone. The lenses are stored in individual slots inside a case. No scratching. Both the lenses and head piece seem very sturdy. I am very pleased. I will mention these to my opthomoligist, but first I’m headed to the craft store.

This product is everything that they said it was and then some! This is an excellent buy!!!
Okay, so, today I received my magnipros led-illuminated magnifier head visors and I paid $15.95 for them. I had already decided in my mind that when I got them, they would probably be cheaply made and that I wouldn't like them and that I would probably just give them away to someone else but pleasantly to my surprise, they were the total opposites. This is in fact, an amazing product and it is everything that the advertisement says it is and then some! They are very well made and the lenses are of high quality, whatever the material is! As a matter of fact, I like them so much that I am about to order another pair just to have on hand just in case something happens to the ones that I just purchased. Yes, this product is well worth the money! I highly recommend these for people who do tedious work, whether it be with art, electronics or anything that requires up close perfect vision. I am a barber and every now and then I will get a tiny peace of hair hair under my fingernail which somehow gets under the nail bed and it can be very painful but thanks to the magnifier, I am able to properly utilize my needlepoint tweezers and see with Eagle Eye precision, exactly where the hair is under the fingernail nailbed thanks to this product. I love them!!! Thank you! Tony

How did I live without this?
Being over 40 my eyesight isn't what it used to be. I used to have better than 20-20 and now wear glasses for mild astigmatism, so reading glasses aren't helpful. I really miss being able to see to get splinters out and close work with electronics. This is amazing! The LED light is super helpful and the selection of different magnification for different jobs is really good. It fits over my glasses so I can still correct for astigmatism while also being able to see up close--and with the magnification it's better than I ever was able to see even when my eyes were perfect. It is by nature a little clunky and heavy, but certainly manageable, and once it's on it's comfortable and very practical. The lens can be adjusted in several ways to get the angle and position just right, and flips out of the way when not needed without taking the whole thing off. Definitely recommended!

Good magnification and can be worn over your glasses!
I am 66 year old man very nearsighted. My glasses give me near 20/20 vision but like many older people my eyes don't change focal length readily. I have spent a small fortune on READING only glasses, bifocals with and without lines. All useless and costing hundreds of dollars. I have a good eye doctor, my former doctors were also very good. It's close work that makes me look over the top of my glasses or slide my glasses down my nose. For some reason multi vision glasses just don't suit me and reading only glasses have been a failure every time. I had a Jeweler's style (dirt cheap) magnifier that looked like a welder's helmet but it worked well for soldering and close work till one day I walked on it and that was that. I tried ONE more time to get reading glasses at Big Box store and returned them. This headband style is very easy to use. If you don't need the light leave the 3 AA batteries out. The lenses are much more durable than my old headband and the nose pieces can be bent as well.

Great product
I've had the MagniPros LED Illuminated Headband Magnifier Visor for about a week now. After testing I am ranking this cool gadget 5 stars. I will first start off by saying this product is a good investment especially for those who are into to sewing like myself. I am ranking this product five stars for the following reason: - It is lightweight and comes with 5 lenses, so if I needed a better view I can change the lenses within in seconds. -I've dropped them a few times and they are still intact and the lenses are not broken. Overall they are durable. - You can use them with or without glasses. I've found that using them without glasses works best for me and my vision is not blurred. - Easy maintenance and easy storage. They fit right back into the box and the lenses fit right back into the case. Not only can you use them for sewing and fixing things but you can also use them for reading as well. Overall this product was made by company with the consumers at heart. These are definitely a great investment and I am planning on buying another pair as a gift for someone in need.

WAIT, WHAT?
I do a LOT of small beadwork and needed a lighted, magnified headset to work with more efficiently. I’d usually find a headlight, or a magnifier or finally both that made me look like a mad scientist. So, after many months, I found these. I’m on a small, fixed income so I knew I wouldn’t get much for what I could spend. I found these on Amazon. Lightweight, check. Good looking, check. Lighted, check. Magnifying, check. Affordable, check. Okay, knowing it would probably be something cheap and horribly made in China, I ordered two pair. They came in two days! Yeah!! I unboxed them and was stunned, shocked and over the moon when I saw the 5 different lenses in a nice case, a polishing cloth and a pair of great looking glasses!! They’re flexible to fit ANYONE, comfortable, GREAT bright LED lights and well made, clear lenses! I thought there was no way they could be this high quality and the most affordable of even the cheapest set anywhere! I would gladly pay a LOT more for these and am beyond happy that I finally got my money’s worth and then some! A MUST for anyone looking for a wearable, lit and magnifying headset!! A++++++++

Very Good Build Quality & Design.
When I read the reviews I was pretty sure some of them were shills, for how over the top some were on the quality. Well... They were true. I got these to do a minor dermatological procedure on my 90 year old dad, (home surgery is kind of a hobby of mine,) and when I opened them up I was blown away. The lenses are thick, one piece items that won't break unless you step on them. They come in a sturdy, thick plastic case with a clear top so you can easily and quickly get the lens you need. (This can be a life saver. Literally!) The headset is well designed, the lenses soft-click into a mount that can be angled up and down. The adjustment action is smooth, but firm, and will stay in place where you set it. The lenses provide excellent magnification. Doing fine work such as setting a watch spring or reattaching a small vein, is a breeze with these. The LED lamp is very bright. It takes 3 AAA batteries that go in a compartment in the forehead section of the headset. The nose piece is comfortable, and as well as the lens being able to swivel to the desired angle, the front part of the headset will also. This is one of the best sixteen bucks I've ever spent.

Very versatile - fun to use
Do you get a kind of queasy, anxious feeling when you have to do close work or in poor lighting because your close vision is poor? This item fixes that. I didn't even realize how much hassle and discomfort I was going through to do close work - for instance plugging in a USB cable, as I can't tell apart the USB from HDMI, or winding speaker wire around the screws in the back of a speaker. Sometimes using just the headlamp suffices; I have found too that I need more light to see than I used to. It's also fun to use. My grandson and I have tons of fun swapping out the lenses and looking at stuff under different magnification. It is a lot of hardware for reading with a rather close focal point, but it excels for the tiny print manuals you get with products these days that I find so frustrated, even with reading glasses.

MAGNIFICENT!!!
I purchased this for my Godmother who is a senior. We both love it! Wonderful design, love the fact that there are multiple lenses to us. The only thing that we were disappointed about is that there was not a case or pouch to put the glasses and lens box in. Otherwise, completely satisfied. In fact I plan on getting my dad and myself a pair.
