MIDI IN-OUT CABLE (initial confusion turned simple solution)

I received this product thinking that it would be a simple plug & play situation. Initially, without thinking (I don't have a ton of USB / MIDI musical instrumentation experience) I just plugged in the MIDI IN cable into the MIDI IN port of my (borrowed) keyboard/synth and the MIDI OUT cable into the MIDI OUT port of the keyboard/synth. I opened up an app called Synthesia and the keyboard input and sound weren't coming through. My buddy figured out that the MIDI IN CABLE needs to be plugged into the MIDI OUT of the keyboard / synth.

Make sure you connect it up correctly.

Works great once you realize that "in" connects to the "out" port on your keyboard. Very please with the cable.

ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT for connecting my Casio MIDI piano to my 10-year-old mac!!! I could NOT be happier. NO latency. 6-foot cord length. DEFINITELY TAKE NOTE: you have to connect the OUT of the cord to the IN on the midi instrument. It took me an hour and a half of research to figure that out omg but now it works just so perfectly. A++++++++++

After downloading the drivers and figuring out that the Korg M1 midi input output is switched the converter works well with MacBook Pro.
