These LED light up my garage wonderfully. They installed quickly and easily from the ceiling and interconnected as well. I love the new concept of LED lights and will NEVER go back to fluorescent lights again. Next time a fluorescent light goes out I will be replacing the entire fixture with an LED light fixture and never have to replace a light bulb again. I already replaced the 4 - 4' (bulbs) fluorescent ceiling light fixture in my kitchen with aenclosed LED fixture (not this product) which produces so much light its wonderful. I also changed out the 60 watt light bulb in my laundry from with a 4' LED fixture (not this product) that also provide super light. LED lights save every and the need to replace a bulb, what a wonderful invention.

What a huge difference these shop lights made. My home shop looks like another place now and I can actually see what I'm working on. I only recently discovered that lights like these existed and didn't waste a minute replacing my old fluorescent fixtures. I plugged each of them into their own outlets which is controlled by one switch. I like the option of being able to turn some off if I wanted to with the pull chain which is provided. They are so much brighter than the old tubes and come right on. -----I like these so much that I bought another 4 and hung them in my garage. What a HUGE difference!

okay first off.. Garage dimension. 24-26.. I turned the light to eliminate shadows as i am working on a bench. and obtain maximum light for all areas.. Wow did it work. No shadows.. and it is some serious bright light. the bad part... these do moust flush.. but the screws holder are in the end of the fixtuures... I checked the light over heavily and the metal down reflector is just a piece of metal.. sooooooo .. easy fix.... drill holes.. mount light.. game over. Did i kill the warrenty .. no idea.. do they work for the price.... ohhhhhhhhhh yeahhhhhhhh. UPDATE::::after a cold harsh winter at some days -30 degrees F still no problems at all and nothing has failed. Installed in October 2018... updating May 2019.. As far as the other reviewers no telling but i am installed these light in a new garage so i know wiring is way up to code and then some. I put industrial grade wiring in so.. no telling.

It is simply amazing how much brighter my shop is after replacing the fluorescent light fixtures with the Hykolity Utility LED shop lights. They were easy to install; removed the fluorescent shop lights and installed the new LED lights (all four of them) in less than 1/2 hour. the suspension chains on the light fixtures are much more substantial than the ones that were replaced. I am very content with the new shop lights.

these are very bright lights. I use them in our basement rec room replacing older fluorescent fixtures. These are far superior!. Installing them, however, was a little trickier. They have cords and a chain switch. I wanted these to work from a wall switch. In the end, I installed an outlet in the ceiling (hidden by the drop ceiling in the basement) and used the existing wiring from the fluorescent fixtures to power the outlet. I plugged two of the lights into the outlet and, voila, they work from the wall switch, providing, of course, that the chain switch has been powered on and left that way. Mounting the lights was also troubling. They have chain mounts so they can hang from the ceiling. I wanted them mounted flush to the floor joist in the ceiling. I had to drill holes for this purpose. Not a big deal, but keep in mind they aren't ready for flush mounting out of the box. They've been working great for a couple months now, and because they are diodes, I expect them to last for quite a while.

Looked over lighting options for a 24x36 garage. Ordered a few different types of LEDs but this set ended up being the best bang for the buck. Posting a few shots from the garage after setup.

I bought this product after doing a fair amount of research. I have a 2 car garage with 10 foot ceiling and before purchasing these lights, the only source of light in the garage came from 2 BR30 bulbs (flood lights). They produce about 500 lumens each for reference. When I got my 4 pack of these LED shop lights they arrived without damage to the packaging. The metal housing of the units is a bit flimsy, but I was not bothered by this as it keeps the weight of the fixture down. More on that later. The cord on each unit measures just over 5 feet. I decided ahead of time to place all four bulbs on one side of the garage. This is the area where I do most of my woodworking. I have basic electrical skills and was able to add an electric outlet into the ceiling by splicing into the existing bulb fixture. This way the lights are controlled by my existing switch. The tricky part for me is I wanted these new lights "flush mounted" with the ceiling. This was an issue because while the units are built to be flush mounted, the holes you need to drill are at a very odd interval (~46 1/2" although don't quote me on that) and the error for margin is about 0.2". I don't know about you, but when perched atop a ladder, 8 feet in the air and drilling upside down, I'm not that accurate so I knew I would need to improvise. The important part of the light design is that there are no wires anywhere in flimsy metal shield, so you can in fact, drill a hole ANYWHERE in the shield. I drilled 2 holes in each shield, spaced about 48" apart. I then ran a screw with a fender washer from the bottom (bulb side of the fixture) up through the shield and into the ceiling joints. If your joists run perpendicular to how you want to hang your lights, this is the only way that both screws supporting your units will go into your ceiling joints. Since the units are so light, you could easily use a drywall anchor in the ceiling and mount them that way. Make sure to use one that actually screws into the drywall like these. (https://www.amazon.com/Homedone-Drywall-Anchor-50-Pack-Self-Drilling/dp/B01KVU4Z68/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1498340460&sr=8-11&keywords=drywall+anchor). My point is don't be afraid to drill holes in the shield, so long as you are careful not to hit the bulb when the drill punches through! The amount of light given off by one fixture was amazing. Honestly, I could have used 2 lights for each bay of the garage and been done with the project, but since I had 4, and they are really rather inexpensive, I placed all 4 in a single garage bay, and I am so happy. There light is so bright and there are no shadows or dim spots since the light is coming from 4 different places. I can not even begin to describe the difference between one BR30 bulb vs 4 of these shop lights. WOW! I intend to by 2 more lights for the other side of my garage.

These are great and simple to install. We have an unfinished basement room that we use for a hobby shop and ultimately the cat boxes. There was a single bulb to light up the whole room when we moved in which really was never enough light to do much once the sun went down. Enough to get by but always used another light if I wanted to do more. We bought these to upgrade. They daisy chain together very nicely and for us are controlled by a switched outlet in the ceiling. They provide an incredible amount of light and with four of them the shadow patters are almost non-existent. They are very simple to hang and just very simple to get light in a room/garage very quickly. I've used the room so much more since installing the lights, simply because there is just sooooo much light.

I purchased these 1.5 years ago, still going strong! [Durability] Initially I ended up using these all around the house for 6 months for additional light for painting, working in the garage, etc.. I wasn't ready to mount them on the garage ceiling yet. I would carelessly stand them up vertically against a wall. Sometimes they'd topple over on the concrete but they kept going strong! Durability is great... if they could withstand that, then they can certainly withstand hanging from a ceiling. [Overall] Once I finally installed them in the garage ceiling (2 car), the light output was just amazing. The flush mount option was nice. I have them on a motion switch, zero issues, phenomenal lights.

These things are BRIGHT! Great deal for the 4-pack, nearly as cheap as fluorescent fixtures, but more efficient and better light quality. I bought the four pack to light a 30x60 foot hoop barn, and only ended up using two to light the barn, as it's more than adequately bright inside with just the two. The other two went into my garage, and now I think I can perform delicate surgery in there with no lighting problems. Build quality seems good, they have a lot of plastic in them, but the metal top panel/shade is seamless over 98% of the length of the light, hopefully this means they can survive in the barn. They are light weight, and the included hanging hardware is definitely up to the task, but I do worry about the plastic anchor points on the light. Switches feel robust so far, for the lumen output and quality of light (good color, even distribution) these are hard to beat for the price.
