everything you need to begin

you can buy a pair of god hand snippers for 40 bucks, or you can spend 10 on this and get everything you need for modeling with a pair of snippers that honestly are not bad at all. don't worry about those fancy mats that cause other kits to double in price, you won't need it. this kit was a great way for me to dabble in building the occasional gundam for stress relief

Very nice starter kit. Good quality nips and everything you need for your first gunpla

Great kit

Dude, this is a great kit. New to Gunpla but I’ve gone alittle overboard. But I go back to this kit every session. The tweezers are both pointy as ...you know, and strong too. Needed to take apart a section and my fingers were too big to get a good hold, the tweezers separated the pieces. Use them for painting since my alligator clips have not come in yet. Buffers are almost done after two gundams. That’s how much I use them. Knife is great also. File is ok not the best. Cutters I use for the big stuff, it does leave a lot of white stress marks near piece so you have to sand more unless you buy better clippers. So overall great tools and sturdy.

Everything necessary for a new, budding wargamer!

I picked these up with my first ever Warhammer 40K order (a T'au Empire set, plus a few extra detachments' worth of models), and was not disappointed in the slightest. The clippers and exact-o knife in particular are key to successful and clean removal from the molds, removing mold lines, and making sure the models look fantastic before assembly! I've used the emory boards a bit, and they aren't necessarily top notch, but, do serve their purpose in cleaning up some mold lines. The box fits everything cleanly, and even came wrapped and sealed. Looking forward to my next build with these tools in hand!

The clipper alone makes this a fantastic buy!

I recently got into model building and was using a pair of scissors to cut the pieces from the sheets and an exacto knife + metal file to clean them up. It was a tedious process and produced countless little flakes of plastic. The clipper in this set changed my life. It can get right up against the pieces and it's so sharp that it makes a clean cut every time. I rarely have to touch up the pieces after cutting them out. I haven't used the other tools yet, but the clipper alone makes this a fantastic buy for anyone looking to build models.

I bought this for my son to further enjoy assembling scale models. Works great for separating the pieces off the trees and for filing down the rough spots. Great gift for the hobby enthusiast!

Solid beginner's modeling kit!

Very solid beginners tool kit! I'm currently working on my second model and all of the pieces in this kit are more or less useful. The thicker filing stick is the one you'll want to use more than not when sanding down nub marks on your kit ,as the thinner one will mark up your plastic quite a bit. Even then that's more my fault than anyone else's. Inexpensive and convinient. If you're looking for a hobby kit to get your hands dirty with gunpla I would highly recommend this!

great little kit

So back in the day, I was a template maker and I used files a lot every day. I got this kit to work on plastic models and since I got it I am very happy. I like the storage box quite a bit, I've used the snips and I like those very much. The jaws are long enough to get to those hard to reach pieces on the sprue tree. The sanding boards will come in handy at some point. I've got some I use frequently when I'm working on models, I like them. I've seen some reviews where the kit was not well liked, I haven't had any problems with mine and in fact, I've moved some of my frequently used tools to the box simply because it is small and the other toolboxes take up a lot of space on my limited work surface. I'm very happy with this kit.

Everything I needed for my first model

Besides paint, glue, and decal solution, this kit gave me everything I needed to start the assembly of my first model. I was starting from zero, so it was handy to have everything arrive at once. I mostly used the curved tweezers, scalpel, and pliers because I didn’t have much news for sanding, but I was glad to have the sanding instruments included in case I needed them. The price was low enough that I wasn’t concerned about getting more than I needed. Fortunately, I didn’t have the problem some other reviewers have had with their kits looking worn or used. Everything arrived in great condition and now I’ve actually added a few things to my kit, like paint brushes, making it easy to store in one place. In my opinion, this a must-have for such a low price. Made my first model building experience a breeze.

Arrived Just as described although I still have to actually use it

Yup. All the parts are there and accounted for. Using it to build a model that’s too advanced for my son to do himself so I have to put it together myself. Hence a non model assembling mom buying this thing. Send help.
