Love This Machine! (See recipes in this review)
My second child is 9 months old, and for my first, I made baby food by steaming it in a pot and blending with a stick blender. It was never very good, and my daughter didn't love the purees I made. Six years later, I thought I'd do it the same way, but a friend suggested a baby food maker when I was lamenting about how the stick blender doesn't work well unless you make a huge batch of something, which I don't like doing because what if he doesn't like it? I had never even thought about getting something like this, but she had a good point, so I bought this one and I LOVE IT. It's small, so it makes just enough for one to three meals (my baby eats a lot though). It steams PERFECTLY and blends PERFECTLY. The purees are so smooth! My baby is picky about texture, and this blender makes everything so creamy. Here are my favorite meals to make for him in this machine: Applesauce: Chop enough apples to fill the basket (this is usually 1 1/2-2 small apples - I use Fuji), sprinkle some cinnamon on top, close it up and steam away. When it's finished, throw out the water at the bottom and add a small amount (maybe 1-2 tablespoons) of fresh water. Blend and serve alone or mixed with baby oatmeal. Carrot, apple and kale: Chop 1 1/2 to 2 carrots, and half an apple. Add a handful of kale on top. Steam and blend with 1-2 tablespoons of fresh water. This can also be made with pear instead of apple, and spinach instead of kale. If you use pear, don't add the water to blend - pears are watery and they make the blending work without it. Sweet potato, red pepper and white bean: Chop half a sweet potato and half a red pepper. Add 1/4 cup of white beans (low-sodium cannellini work well). Make sure the beans are rinsed well first. Steam and blend with 1-2 tablespoons of fresh water. I also make this with black beans. Butternut squash and pear: Fill the basket 3/4 of the way with diced butternut squash. I buy frozen in a bag and put it straight in the steamer, frozen. Add half a pear. Steam and blend - note, pears are watery so you don't need water to blend. Potato and broccoli: Fill the basket half with chopped baby potato (no need to peel it), and half with broccoli. Steam and blend with 1-2 tablespoons of water. This recipe also works with spinach. Chicken and apple: Fill the basket halfway with raw chopped chicken breast or thigh. Add half an apple. Steam and blend with water - for this recipe, I don't throw out the water that remains after steaming - I use it because it has chicken fat in it. Add more water if the chicken doesn't get creamy enough. This puree can be mixed with any of the above veggie purees for a delicious combo. Also, you can add 1 tsp of olive oil to any veggie puree to get some good fat in there. Cherry avocado: Steam a cup of frozen pitted sweet cherries. When it's done steaming, add 1 tablespoon of water and half an avocado (don't steam the avocado!). Blend and serve alone or mix with baby oatmeal.

Best Ever!
I love this food processor so much. I have made various baby food with vegetables, fruits and meats and my baby really enjoy them a lot. Additionally, I can also use this item for adult food such as soup. Super easy to use, easy to clean and no need large space. What I spent for this is totally worthy!! Oh, it says 'mini', but you can make reasonable portion of baby food for more than three days.

Works great!
Great product. I had gotten the Beba baby cook 8 years ago and used that for my first child. I liked it but I didn't like the capacity of the first generation Beba and I wanted to try a different brand. I like this QOOC because it has a larger capacity, better price and works exactly like the Beba. I haven't had issues with the inside mildewing probably because I keep the cap open except when I use it to cook. So it stays dry and nothing gets a chance to grow.

Great product!
I love this product! Easy to use and the fact that it comes with a steamer and a blender at the same time is one big thing for me.. for a busy mom like me, this is a great buy! I always use the 20min setting for the steamer time so that i can be sure that the vegies or fruit or whatever im steaming is really nice and tender so that it would be easy to blend. Steaming compared to boiling will preserve more nutrients inside the food so that’s really important to me. Saves me time and effort. The descaling is not that bad at all. You must have to really be sure to follow the instructions on descaling and not to use anything other than the ones Your product will last long. Cost wise, great product! This is absolutely a good buy for me.

Love this baby food steamer and blender!
Contemplated for awhile about whether or not I really needed this. Lots of people say it's unnecessary, just use a regular blender, immersion blender, etc.. well, after using it all, I can say that I am very pleased with this purchase! I love that you can cook, purée, and reheat all in one device. It really makes clean up so much easier. I used to steam in a rice cooker, then use an immersion blender or regular blender and then try scooping all the food out/off the devices. It was time consuming and hard to get all the puréed food out. I love how quickly this device purées while barely making a sound. I can actually prepare food while baby is sleeping. And, the puréed food slides out so easily. Couldn't be happier with the purchase!

Good baby puree machine
Very simple and easy to use. Haven't got the chance to use the steam option but it puree food really quickly and nicely. The blades come off very easily for super easy cleaning. The container is durable And it is pretty quiet

Fun to make baby food!
Very simple to use. I prefer to use cheaper veggies like carrots, peas and green beans because I am actually getting a savings vs buying baby food. I do wish it made a chime or some type of sound once done steaming. The light turns off when done but if I am not watching it I sometimes forget. I have washed all parts (besides the actual machine) in the dishwasher about 7 times now and all is holding up well. My sister thinks I am crazy for wanting to make food, but I actually really find it fun!

Space saving, quick + easy, one freezer tray portion
You may have heard the criticisms regarding lots of baby food systems, things like “just use your food processor or blender”. You certainly can do that. However, if your child’s nursery is right next to your kitchen (like our situation) you will find this a quieter process. Not without noise by any means, but quieter than a standard blender, etc. Also, the portion sizes this product renders fit nicely into about one freezing tray (if you make your food in bulk). The transfer process from steam to puree is very intuitive with a tool that slides in the steam basket and make it easy for you to turn it over and pour back in the basin for pureeing, without mess. I find it easy to clean, easy to store and very seamless. I have not used it to warm freezer puree cubes yet, but it will work just fine I’m sure. All in all, it’s a great product for making food ready to eat in the moment (allow some cooling time) or smaller bulk batches (one freezer tray). When I want to makes large amounts of a food I know my son loves (like apple sauce) I still use my giant pot and old school steaming set up with the blender, but for the majority of my food prep this has been a life saver! I really recommend this product.

Best costumer service
I bought it to make food for my baby and fell in love with it. So easy to use and clean. However, after three weeks of use I saw some brown spots in the water reservoir. I contacted their costumer service and they said it could be mineral deposits due to “hard water”. I descalled the reservoir as they indicated but the brown spots persisted. They sent a replacement right away! They have an amazing costumer service!!! In love with QOOC BABY

convenient, healthy process
i love this item, one should understand that it is built for soft to moderate blending of baby food & not a vitamix. does the job perfectly. love the steaming-blending function, very convenient. the only downfall is you need to keep an eye on it until steaming is done because once the light turned off, the knob needed to be turned off manually to, if not, I guess the water tank will just continue to heat..
