Power Inverter with bells and whistles
The last power inverter I had purchase was years ago and worked well. Now that we're doing camping trips and other overnight outings having a power inverter has come in handy. I wanted to get a new unit for the reliability and convenience reasons. I found the Ampeak super affordable per watt along with some nice features that my previous 1000 watt inverter did not have. First off the 1000 watt continuous power system is super easy to connect to any battery source. It can be connected directly or through a remote switch which Ampeak offers separately. For those that aren't exactly sure how the power inverter works, it will convert battery power, such as your car battery's electricity 12 volt (DC) to power used when plugging a normal 110 volt cord in (AC) power. Not only can I plug regular items into it but also can charge a cell phone with the 2.1 amp USB port. The LED display help the user stay within the parameters of the unit and shows the watts being used. The LED display will show input and output and keeps itself cool through an internal fan. The unit will withstand up to 2000 watts at a surge level but check devices before plugging them into the 110 volt outlets (there are two) so you can keep the unit running within the 1000 watts it's rated for. The unit packs up and stores nicely as well. The other thing I have been keeping the inverter handy for is during rolling power outages in California I can use this to keep my smaller fridge cool or use my Traeger BBQ which requires power to operate.

Good price
5 stars because it works. Mounted in my work van in the cab. Fan is louder than others I've owned, but not objectionable. It is able to power up my Makita table saw. Charges 18v tool batteries fine. You can't run most variable speed tools with this type of inverter.

Good material and built quality, like having 3 plugs and screen
When I buy a device, the first thing I do is to feel the quality by touching it. If I can't feel that, that product is done for me. This inverter is that kind of device which you can feel its material and built quality by only touching it. And it has some other great features such as having screen to monitor process, three plugs to use multiple devices, opportunity to mount it on your car and provide all accessories to start using it immediately. Overall, i like it. it is a perfect deal based on the price range.

Great for the RV coffee maker !!
Bought this little gem for the RV coffee maker. Installed and ran the remote control panel into the kitchen counter back plash. Installed the inverter in the compartment next to the batteries. Made coffee with it 4-5 times and not a single problem. I do not have to start the generator in the RV parks anymore when I get up at 4:30 to 5:00 in the morning and the wife can sleep. Highly recommend for a square wave application but not for televisions or other sensitive electronics. Buy a pure sine wave inverter for those items.

Comes With Cables
Some reviewers complain about the lack of cables but they didn't look hard enough. The box has what amounts to a false bottom beneath which is a bag containing the cables. There is also a small instruction booklet that explains what happens if you try to draw too many amps out of your storage battery before recharging it. If the battery voltage drops too low then the inverter starts beeping. Keep on drawing and it soon cuts out altogether to save your battery from a ruinous discharge. The remote control switch (sold separately) is very handy in my RV. I keep the inverter and battery in the utility bay and turn it on and off from inside the RV. My battery is always being recharged by a solar panel on the RV roof, even when underway, so there is usually enough AC to run the coffee maker and TV/DVD combo at camp sites with no hookups or restrictive generator hours.

Great buy plenty of power just wish it came with the remote switch (sold separately) Will buy again
I have the 2000 watt inverter attached to a 100 ah battery in my camper to run my Keurig coffee maker that pulls about 1500 or so watts during the heating process and it works fine.... Previously I had it connected to a 50 ah battery that was 8 to 10 years old and only holding a charge around 70% or 35 ah and the 2000 watt inverter would still make coffee but alarm would sound to notify me of low voltage under heavy load. I've have brewed coffee on a fully charged 35 ah battery with no issues but would recommend 50 ah or larger. Further just to see what it is capable of I pushed it to the limits attached to a 100 ah battery and ran a pancake compressor no problem 5.25 HP shop vacuum And a few short beads with a small 110 welder So far great buy for me and what I use it for COFFEE and led lighting in the camper. If it fails to continuously perform I will update my review.

Interverter works great, powers 800 watt paint sprayer, just awesome.
I stain fences and its hard to get power cable to power, and found that this inverter works great with large equipment like my 800 watt paint sprayer, where I stain, sometimes doesn't have power. I hooked directly to battery panel where the only thing I added was an additional fuse block for safety, highly recommend doing that. Fantastic inverter, good size, works as advertised, very happy with the purchase.

New version much quieter now
I purchased the new 1000 watt version and its much better than the old. The first and biggest difference in my opinion is the fan does not spin-up on extremely low power draws. It is so nice to plug in a 50 watt load and not have loud internal fans sounding like rocket engines firing. On the new version the remote port is gone but a nice wrench to tighten the connections is included. But, the most shocking feature is the power cables. Ampeak has crimped 2 6awg wires together to make in essence a 4awg wire. They did this for both the positive and negative. I have never seen a manufacturer do something like this before. I works fine. I put a 700 watt load on the inverter for 10 minutes and the cables never got hot. I like the new version and I got at a very good price on Black Friday.

Definitely worth the money
Great inverter so far. You get in a big box but the only thing inside is the inverter and the cables for instalation. The cables are good cables but not really long, so you might want to use your own cables as I did. I used 2 gauge wires I got from autozone. Dies but fine with a remote so you have to order seperate witch I didn't know and not sure which remote goes with it but I'm sure it says it somewhere in descriptions. It has power and it keeps going. Mine has been on for 24 hours tuning nu lights and TV and I only turned my car on once but I do have an auxiliary battery. It doesn't shut off or the alarm go off for no reason like some other inverters. The microwave does make a weird sound when you run it but it works and heats up your food. This unit reads your battery really accurate. It reads the dane thing my battery monitor says. I still ned to permanently install it somewhere but I recommend this inverter.
