One of the four radio and battery not working- but great customer service

We purchased these radios for an up-coming cruise because of the price and decent reviews. The package arrived quickly and complete. I opened the radios and started assembling them. As I put the batteries in, I turned them on to test for power. First I ran across a battery that one of the spring loaded pins to make contact with the radio was jammed down in the battery so it would not touch when the battery was inserted. Then as I kept going, I found another radio that just would not come on. So 1 radio is dead and has a bad battery. Also, these radios come programmed with frequencies that are restricted use in the USA, so you need to also make sure that you order a programming cable ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0749KTYBH/ ) and change the frequencies to ones that are legal for public use. Search for fcc general mobile radio service frequencies to find a listing of public usable frequencies. Update: The vendor contacted me and asked if we received the radios in good working order. I explained that one radio did not power on and one battery was defective. They shipped out a replacement for the bad unit and emailed me tracking information. Kids love running around with these playing "army". If the weather was warmer I think these would hardly ever be on the chargers and always in the kids hands.

Absolutely love with walkie talkies, amazing quality and at a steal of a price in my opinion. I’m a police officer and my best friend is a dispatcher and we both agree this product is far superior to others. Transmissions are clear and concise (user allowing haha). We actually use them most to play nerf gun wars with her kids and they also love them. The accessories attached such as the belt clip and the ear piece really help when you’re planning a sneak attack on a 9 yr old.

Great Product! Well worth the price!

I bought these for a trip to the Hard Rock Punta Cana in Dominican Republic. 3 Adults and 2 kids were travelling in our group and the resort is 121 acres with 12 pools and 10 restaurants. The resort has excellent Wifi but given the size, you're constantly connecting and reconnecting and there are, as to be expected, places where there is no wifi or the signal is slow (for example, the beach). Due to the size, I predicted it would be challenging to keep up with one another and purchased these in the hopes that it would assist. I was pleasantly surprised with how well they worked! Inside buildings, even inside elevators, we experienced clear communication. We did have to switch channels one time because we experienced some other people talking on our channel but it was very easy to do and everyone in the group had no issues working the devices. This product is absolutely worth the price. I was shocked that I could get 4 rechargeable walkie talkies for less than $50. Immediately upon receiving the product, I installed the belt clips which meant taking off four phillips head screws and screwing them back on (very simple). We either clipped the walkies to our belts (swimsuits) or clipped them to a pool bag. One of our travellers accidently went into the pool with their walkie and while it still works, it is not reliable so I would note that this item is NOT waterproof. We were not under the impression that it was but just good to know in case you need something waterproof. Overall, we loved the product and it was well worth the investment. It made our trip much more manageable and much easier to communicate and keep up with one another in a resort of this magnitude. I can see us using these on many trips to come where the cell signal does not work.

Great range, easy to use, great value for the money

We used these on a backpacking trip so our group could communicate as we wandered off to other lakes to fish, etc. Even in the mountains, we had a good mile or so of range. I haven't tested direct line of sight range, but I suspect it will be pretty good. I've tested it at 1 1/2 miles in our neighborhood and it was clear as a bell. For the money, you can't beat them. I even dropped one in a stream and it kept working. I don't think they're supposed to be waterproof, but it kept working!

Amazing product, outstanding customer service!

Bought the 4 pack for our cruise coming up in May...upon arrival, one of the walkies out of the 4 didn't work and I thought to myself, I'll just have my husband look at it. The next day, I received an email from the seller, (Ashley), just checking to see if I was happy with my purchase. Whaaaaat???? Never had that happen before! Anyway, I went ahead and replied with an email explaining that one of the walkies was not working. The very next day, I get another email from her telling me she had just shipped another 2 pack of walkies free of charge in order to replace the one not working! Excellent customer service if you ask me, walkies have been a hit with the kids and as for the cruise, we'll see how they do. Definitely would recommend!!!!

3 out of 4 worked out of the box

Updated review: Without any prompting from me, the company sent two replacement walkie talkies. I didn't take the time to contact them or try to send back the defective device, but they took it upon themselves to make sure I had fully-functional devices. I'm extremely impressed with this company. Would do business with them again and am very pleased to know there are companies like this out there. Original review: Unfortunately only 3 of the 4 walkie talkies worked upon arrival. The kids are having a lot of fun with the 3 that are in working order. Couldnt give a higher score with one of the 4 broken upon arrival.

Great for Cruises!!

Purchased these for a 5-day cruise to Mexico since we chose not use our cells on or off the ship. OMG! These were a live saver!!! We travelled as a family of 10 with various age groups who wanted to “explore” the ship and ports without parental supervision. These walkies were vital in staying connected with the “roamers”. The battery life, clarity, size, and several channel options were excellent. There were others on the ship with the same brand but once we chose an unpopular channel, it was only our family. The seller emailed me upon receipt to ensure all was well. I highly recommend this seller!

Worked on our cruise!

We bought these walkie-talkies for use on a cruise ship, and they worked very well. We weren't sure whether they would have the range needed for use on a large ship (18 floors), but they worked just fine! They were very inexpensive and they seem to hold a charge well. They have several channels, and we experienced a bit of interference on a channel one day, but we all just switched channels, and no problem! Would recommend for cruising and would also be a fun children's toy.
