I had an LED booklight that was either of blinding intensity, or dim and hard to read when the batteries started to drain. I've had this for a few months now and I highly recommend it to others. You can read anything easily, but it doesn't burn your eyes out or keep you up because you've been blasted with bright white light as you read in bed before trying to go to sleep. I only need to use one of the lights at the lower brightness setting, and I can read just fine.

I have I owned this light for a year and it will be a gift for everyone going forward. It gives great light to read by in a pitch black room when my insomnia kicks in. It never makes my eyes burn or ache as my old booklight did and doesn't wake my husband. I use it when we take long road trips as it doesn't affect the driver's ability to see. It is also perfect when my husband who works nightshift needs to sleep during the day. I can do what I need to in the bedroom and even apply my makeup at my vanity without waking him.

Where have you been my whole life. Finally a dim reading light with a sleep friendly hue. there is nothing like this. That picture is totally accurate. If you get disturbed by bright light at night this is what you want. i am actually thinking of buying their reading lamp too but it is so darn expensive. Regarding this item, I love that you can open it up too, the battery should be replaceable even if they say it isn't. There are screws. I wish the leds lasted longer than 20-30k hours, there should be leds that last a lot longer than that, and honestly for 30 dollars i want at least 4-5 years out of this. I will update the review if something fails in the next few years. In terms of the initial performance, and specs of the light is is a great night or car reading light when night driving.

Grad-School Gift Gold!

Gave these as a gift to my girlfriend who is currently in grad-school and reading a lot at night. We noticed an instant difference in our sleep. Using these as opposed to the overhead light or a lamp make the room more comfortable and we fall asleep faster. We've even started using them as our main light in the room. Will definitely be purchasing another set and the bigger lamp!

It was great while it lasted BUT SomniLight replaced it free of charge!

I loved this little book light until the charging port broke. It lasted 13 months. I contacted SomniLight and they sent me a replacement immediately at no charge. They have changed the shape of the charging port so I'm anticipating a very long and happy experience with this one. This one also included a charging cable. Great! I'm impressed!

I love this rechargeable book light. It's great that you don't need to use batteries and the light doesn't interfere with sleep, because the light is amber. I purchased this and it stopped charging after a year. The company responded quickly to my complaint and sent me a new light, free of charge! Great company and a great product!

I used this product for about and hour reading in bed and then looked at my phone and was nearly blinded. Blue light matters! Don't worry about this not being bright enough – it has two settings and both are plenty bright for reading in a dark room.
