A great cover

After reading other reviews, I was skeptical that this cover would meet my needs. This product arrived as promised, and it fit my ironing board very well. I had no problems with installation. The padding was thicker than I expected, a pleasant surprise. I actually left my old board cover on underneath this new one for extra padding. Granted, the old one was pretty thin, but there was ample room to install this new cover over the top. Maneuvering the elasticized end (small side) so there isn't too much excess fabric trapped on the underside of the board helps with installation. I have the kind of board with the two tabs installed in the metal at the base (wide) end of the board, over which the pad is hooked (using two grommets) to secure the cover to the board.

Fit my door hanging ironing board perfectly.

I took a chance ordering this. I'd had my door hanging board for years and the elasticity of the cover had completely gone. I thought I was going to have to throw the whole this away but luckily I found this instead. It even has a couple of grommets to hook into the old board… I had no idea there was an industry standard to this! I might as well buy another one assuming years from now this one might give out to.

Convenient & inexpensive.

I researched ALL over-the-door ironing boards. Even bought the expensive on in the cabinet. That one was a nightmare to install & once installed the ironing board itself broke. Went back to this one. The cover is flimsy so you need to buy an extra cover or take the existing one off & pad, then put it back on. Otherwise everything you iron will have the diagonal grid pattern on it. Nevertheless, once you do that, it works fine. I've not found one better and I have search. I'm giving it 5 stars even though they could improve its construction & pad it more but it can be adapted. Its the onky alternative to a full size ironing board or table top one. Could not find it in stores even the ones listed in google search as carrying them. Works for me.

Even Better Than I Hoped

This product was even better than described. The dimensions were as posted and exactly matched my over-the-door OTD board. It is easy to install, well made, and fits perfectly. For all those who complained about a poor fit, check your (OTD) board to make sure it has two little metal pegs at the base of the board over which the grommets in the cover easily fit. The key word in the product description is "grommets." If your board doesn't have these pegs, this cover was not made for your OTD board. When customers complained about a lack of padding, I was wary, but this, too, was a pleasant surprise. I am, after all, planning to iron on this board and not sleep on it.

Be careful....Order the one with the blue fern print..

This product fit well, quality padding and more than sufficient elastic support. Be careful when ordering as when clicking on picture , another item appears. When ordering, be sure it is the blue fern print ironing board cover...the other is poorly made with no elastic.

Perfect solution for our family

In rearranging rooms in our house we lost the space where we had the ironing board always set up. With four daughters we do a fair amount of ironing, at least once a day or more. I needed something easily accessible, but that would not always be out and in the way. This was the perfect solution. We have it mounted on the inside of a closet door, and the irons sits on a shelf in the closet. It has proved to be the perfect solution for our family and our house. Just one word of advice. Be sure there is an outlet near wherever you put this. It does no good to have an ironing board if there is no where to plug the iron in! :)

Easy convenience

This is a wonderful way to avoid lugging out a heavy ironing board (and having to put it back). It is smaller than a standard ironing board but it works for my purposes. I love that it is so easy to use. Just pull it down and it stays in place until you want to close it. Then, all you do is pull on a handle beneath and it magically closes. I would have preferred more padding, but that is my particular wish--and I could always add to that which came with the board--but it is not that important to me. I love the convenience--that's what is really important to me.

Fits Perfectly

I was worried based on other reviews, that this would not work on my over the door ironing board. However, I was pleasantly surprised that this fits perfectly. You have to stretch it down to fit over the grommet hooks. Once hooked in it stays in place and no straps are needed. It's thicker than my original cover. It is a nice shade of blue. I am satisfied with this purchase.
