Glad i got this one

Got this for my granddaughter, came in very well packed no damage not hard to put together instructions were very clear. Once together it looks good very solid not cheep at all plenty of room for toys. I wanted a nice clean white chest so my daughter could put stickers on it and put her personal touch to it, the finish on it is smooth and nicely done. All in all really happy with it and daughter and granddaughter delighted that's what counts.

Holds up well to toddler abuse!

We ordered this toy chest for my daughter's birthday to hold all the dress-up items we've accumulated. I wasn't sure that they (two daughters) would really be excited in a piece of furniture but they absolutely loved it - especially because not only did it have all of their dress-up stuff in it, they could climb on it with ease. We have had this for about six months now and, aside from the crayon and marker stripes here and there, it still looks brand new. I am very happy with this purchase. Pros: Large volume for storage space, hinges are kid proof and keep top from falling on kids fingers, also large enough for children to hid in during naptime (which provides a good laugh when you go to look for them), not airtight which helps with the previously mentioned, lightweight - I was able to pick it up and move it across the room with minimal effort while it was full (this would obviously depend on what you're storing in it) Cons: ...haven't found one yet.

Really nice toybox for the money

I read the reviews and was worried about quality, but I think this is of pretty high quality for a sub 100% piece of furniture. I checked closely and the finish seems to be well done contrary to some other's experiences. It was easy to assemble and took about 20 minutes from start to finish. I like that it doesn't use the chincy Ikea-like twist-lock fasteners. Not sure how it will hold up as we've had it for just a couple of days, but I think it's a nice addition so far.

Easy to put together and perfect for dress up

This was the perfect solution for my kids dress up. We had it in a closet but they were too high to reach and we had to constantly help them. I considered the dress up hanging stations, but they seemed too short for my now 4T-6 wearing girls dresses... and lets be honest, whose kid is really rehanging their dress up. I found this to be the perfect solution... we just open it (and it stays open!) and throw the dress up right back in when they are done playing. It's made cleanup so much less painful.

Value for the amount of money

I bought this to place my 7 year old toys in and she loves it, she particularly loves that she can sit on top of it to put her shoes on. It is sturdy and very easy to assemble to glad I did not pay an arm and a leg for it to come assembled already. Note: I do not do too many projects but I learned not to force the screws in, if they don't go in easy try to remove them and align the boards and put the screw in again.

Looks Great and Not Too Hard to Assemble

Bought the plain white one for our 6 y.o. Granddaughter. Had a great looking lavender color decal with her name in scroll and hearts made for it from a site on ebay. Much cheaper than having it personalized. Went together pretty easily, but was a little work, and I worked up a little sweat by myself. Looks great with good quality manufacturing and everything lined up well. Can be used as a bench for her to sit on when she reads, as well. Very happy with the end result and she loves it.

A Great Chest for Kids

Melissa & Doug is known for high quality children's products and this chest is no exception. It was a breeze to put together and feel sturdy. It has a smooth mechanism that slows the lid closing to prevent little fingers from being pinched. It is nice to look at and is sizable on the inside. In a perfect world, you wouldn't need to assemble this, but that is really the only downside I can think of.

Worth the price. Safe for toddler fingers.

Holds all the toddler toys and I can sit on it occasionally (I'm 200lbs). Took two people to build in 30mins. I like that the top has to be pushed down so I don't have to worry about little fingers getting smashed. Great purchase. Definitely worth the price. Only thing I have to worry about is keeping my 1yr old from climbing inside. :)

Great quality and big!

Great quality and size! I was surprised to see the great quality of this toy box. Follow the instructions saying to not completely tighten the screws just yet. If you do you’ll have to loosen them and adjust and retighten once it’s all out together. It was simple and I would definitely buy this again.

Great toy box

We got this toy box in for our grandsons and my wife was very concerned that Andrew wouldn't close Lukas in the box and trap him. The parts on the lid that keep it from falling closed and that make it easy to lift will keep anyone from getting hurt. It was extremely easy to assemble and it looks nice.
