Incredible price and works perfectly

For $5.88 delivered I can excuse it not having a replaceable battery. I’ll just replace it when it dies for not much more than some button batteries. Since the trigger wire just pushes into a slot on the housing, changing it out will not require rewrapping the sparkplug wire. I used it in a plug in hybrid Clarity so I could record the engine on time. The engine uses coil over plugs so no high voltage wire to wrap around. I wrapped it around the coil and secured with silicone self fusing tape and it’s working perfectly.

Easy to install hour meter...

Bought this and held on to it for a few months prior to installing it. A bad hurricane with winds was coming thru. Put it on my 5K generator. Generator was on for 92.3 hours, I changed the oil at 45 hours twice. Does what it is supposed to do. Slide one end of the wire into the meter and wrap the spark plug wire (close to the plug) 5X's and that's it. Easy peezy.

Very pleased so far

Has enough wire to put the display just about anywhere. Very pleased so far. I just used zip ties to attach it. Because I didn’t want to drill holes for the screws provided, but you can mount it any way you want.

Works well. Throw away when battery dies. Requires mounting.

Works ok for money. Don't know how long the battery ( not replaceable) will last. Don't know if internal battery charges from spark plug energy, or just depends on drawing very low current with a display that is on all the time. Regardless, it has been working even when exposed to heavy rain and mower washing. If you want a good mounting job, need to drill two holes, wrap wire around spark plug high voltage wire, tie down wire with tie straps. This type of mounting is a 30 minute job on Torro Timecutter mower---not a snap in.

works great

added this to a motorize piece of equipment to monitor hours between oil changes. meter marks off every 6 minutes. 10 would be an hour, obviously. i have not caused it to continue past 2 so i have no idea what the meter will show as time accumulates into hours

Great product

I need an hour meter for my new trials motorcycle (Gas Gas TXT 250). Easy to wire up. I have approximately 20 hours now on the bike, and the meter appears to be flawless. Great shipping and great product.

Need to know the hours on stand by generator.

Most stand by power generators do not have hour meters. This way I can keep up with hours and maintenance.

No more guessing

This little meter is great! Took about five minutes to install and now I can safely monitor my usage for maintenance and no more guessing. By the way shipping was fast and the price is really good. I would definitely recommend.

Used for my small engine generator

Open package, wrap spark plug wire with pick up wire, added Velcro to unit and installation completed. So far works fine. Beats guessing hours between oil changes.
