This was not only the best price I could find on the web but it ...
I am in the process of building a new workshop which I will power with a combination of traditional grid-power and a new solar array. My old multi-meter has shown some signs of losing accuracy, so I wanted to get a new one to start this project. Not having too much extra money I chose to consider the mid-range price group, which included the Meterk Digital Multimeter 6000. I chose the Meterk for two reasons: (1) price and (2) features. I considered more than two dozen units in the price range of $25 to $35. The Meterk on Amazon had a price right in the middle. This was not only the best price I could find on the web but it also came with Amazon Prime. In the end, the price range was perfect for my needs and the Meterk rose to the top when I then added in features for the comparison. The Meterk Digital Mutlimeter 6000 has the expected features including the measurement of voltage (DC and AC), amperage, frequency and even temperature. The unit also has these must-have features: • current & continuity • The ability to select a range of voltages • The ability to measure AC and DC voltages • The ability to measure ohms In addition, the Meterk had the ability to measure capacitance, resistance, and transistors in a way that works well for a project like building a new solar array. Accuracy is one of the more important features, and for the Meterk I found that it hit the 96-99% range in all functions tested. To measure this, I used known quantity items, such as transistors and resistors, as well as made measurements against items I already to be tested and accurate. I have about 20 years of experience in electronic projects, so I used this experience to help guide me in my testing. For the professional, this level of accuracy is acceptable for most field work and it is well within acceptable limits for the amateur. Other units in this same price range did not do nearly as well in accuracy, so the Meterk performed well when compared to others. Along with features the unit has a nice fit and finish that makes it very usable. The LED screen is large and easy to read. The clarity of the screen makes it even easy to read at odd angles, something not present in many other units in this price range. As for the overall finish, the unit is cleanly designed and shows no signs of the case having any defects such as warping, discoloration, or sharp edges. The unit fits well in your hands, has conveniently placed controls, and has a built-in stand on the back so that it can be inclined while working at the bench. A final consideration for me was what I broadly categorize as safety features. I always start in this area by evaluating the leads/contacts and their connection to the unit. The connection point is covered, meaning that there is a bit of rubber protection formed to create a shield to protect the actual metal contact points. This helps to prevent damage to the connection points and also to prevent accidental cross-touching which could create an unexpected spark/charge. When plugging the leads into the multimeter the rubber protecting cover fits well over the connection joint, providing additional protection which helps ease the tension when moving the lead. A similar level of attention has been given to the wire used in the lead, the construction of the probes, and in the way the unit fits together as a whole. Other safety features include nicely rounded edges and corners, easy to read labeling, and an automatic shut-off. Overall the fit, finish, and usability ratings for this unit make it a good buy in the price range of $25 - $35.

Best Meter for the Money especially the DC Amp function.
I had been using this meter exclusively for the DC amp clamp on function for about 3 months when I ran into a challenging ghost and leakage voltage issue on a new inverter install. Because of its sensitivity and used the Ohm and voltage (both AC and DC) for a complicated trouble shooting session. These other modes did not operate consistently and in my opinion not reliably. I was willing to keep the unit just for the DC amp function. I emailed the company and their spokesman Katherine politely asked me to make sure it was not something simple like batteries or bad leads which I never used until then. When I emailed her back she simply said a new one is on its way and a few days later it showed up at my door. I can't remember when customer service was so polite and responsive.

Extremely Happy
I like everything about this clamp meter. I needed a ( DC Clamp Meter ) to check current for my small solar projects and batteries. This meter is very simple to use. Another feature I really like is the ( NCV ) which is so useful to see if AC circuits are hot without having to use the probes. There is a bright led work light that also is a very nice feature at the base between the clamps. Being retired and on a fixed income this Meterk Digital Clamp Meter Multimeter was thst which I could afford and very happy I purchased it.

Impressive features!
Follow-up review regarding aftermarket service: After almost 6 months with the meter, I became aware that the non-contact voltage sensing was very unreliable. I tried to use that feature to map out receptacle circuits in a large house that we were making into commercial office rentals. NCV would work on maybe half the receptacles that were energized. Even though it had been 6 months I contacted the vendor through Amazon. After some questions, including a video of using the meter, they offered a new meter at no charge including shipping. The new meter meets my expectations for NCV and I am pleased with their response! Very impressed! I'm retired now, but spent my working career using various meters of all types in heavy industry. I still do a lot of projects and odd jobs and needed DC current measuring capability. I wanted a hall-effect, clamp-on meter. In years past, that type meter cost hundreds of dollars. I'm amazed that I can get that feature along with all the other advanced features found in this small handheld. Some of the features I like most: selector dial / buttons all one-hand manageable, non-contact voltage test, auto-range voltage, zero-calibrate for all functions, manual back-light switch. As others have commented, the housing feels quite robust. I have only had it a couple weeks and time will tell if the reliability is good, but I am very happy at this point.

Clamp-on DC current measurement!
I bought this because it was the first inexpensive (under $200+) clamp-on meter I found that works with DC current. It turns out that I use the DC current feature nearly as much as all the other features combined. I got used to that with an expensive meter and wanted a second one with that capability, but wasn't willing to pay that price again. I compared the two meters on current measurements, and this one is very close to the other (more expensive) one. DC current measurements are finicky (because of the non-varying magnetic field), so you need to constantly re-zero between measurements, or when changing meter position. But that is just the nature of a DC clamp-on current measurement - any magnetic field (including the earth's) will influence it. Be willing to take some care in your measurements and you will be able to get data that is rare in any meter, and even more so in an inexpensive one such as this. The non-contact voltage indicator is a bit overly sensitive. With most of the non-contact voltage indicators I have I am able to tell the difference between the hot and neutral wires in a cable. With this one it triggers when I even get near the cable, and will even detect voltage on a cable inside of a wall - so that could be useful - but not for determining which conductors are hot.

Has a nice big display
This is a solid multimeter! I used it right out of the box - it's ready to use. Has a nice big display. It has a good enough resolution for most household projects. I'd expect a higher price tag. Great product.

Great multimeter for the value
This meter works great. Used it today to check voltage and current and it was easy to use and configure. It has a simple dial like my previous meters and it is simple to adjust readings. Includes both AC and DC clamp on current. The case is simple and durable. The size is nice and it is easy to hook over my thumb to take readings while I use the probes. Pros: Accurate Lots of features Affordable Nice tip covers Capacitance and diode rest both included Cons: At first I thought it didn’t have a light on the display, but there is a button above the select button. It would be nice if the light was always on, but I guess this saves on battery life. Overall, great and affordable DMM.

Voltage MAY Be Off Slightly (Even Zero'd) But Can't Beat Functionality for the Price
I've needed a clamp multimeter for awhile but kept putting it off. This unit measures BOTH AC and DC current with the clamp which is important to note (many only measure AC current, not DC). Tested the current flow in battery charging (car/lawnmower) and it seems accurate per the specs of the chargers, as well as charging with a power supply. I've noted differences in voltage with other multimeters I have, but can't really say which is right and which is wrong - and the difference is small to begin with (.07v on a 12v line). Tested resistance, capacitance, voltage, diode-drop, NCV, and all seem to be working and fairly accurate. Frequency in all honesty not tested and I don't use that feature, period - would with an oscilloscope, not with a multimeter. Great set of features, great price, and it's accurate. So far as durability: maybe not the 'beast' you'd use 'Out in the Field' but it works great.

Good Price, good feel, feature loaded, TRU-RMS and comes with a bag I highly recommend...
Great multi function tool that feels solid and sturdy just as a quality tool should. I love the Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) function that sounds a signal and light when it detects above 90V AC, this takes the place of another stand alone NCV tool. It has a LED function that gives you a flashlight in dark areas, works great in a pinch. The test leads feel solid, the screen has a backlight, also there is a SEL button that selects different functions within the rotary switch position. Example: When you put it on Voltage the SEL selects between AC and DC. The OHM position the SEL selects a OHM reading, a OHM reading with audio feedback (great if all you need to know if it's open or closed), and a Diode test function. It also has a hertz and duty cycle function. The big thing (for me) is that the current function does both AC and DC clamp on current in two different ranges. This allows it to be used in a automotive environment to measure current. A lot of meters do not have DC. It also has a Zero function, for example to zero the ohms and a Hold function to hold a value. The only thing I don't like is it defaults to DC first. So whatever function you select, Voltage or Current, the meter is set to DC so you have to push the SEL button to get AC. It's just most of what I do is AC. Small nit... Good price, good feel, feature loaded, TRU-RMS and comes with a bag. I highly recommend...
