My Replacement For The Discontinued Apple ipod Shuffle
I have been listening to my ipod Shuffles about 3 hrs a day for the past 12 yrs. I was heartbroken to find out that Apple has discontinued them. Where else could I find a tiny mp3 player that will clip onto my shirt or even my hair. I like them TINY. Well I found this and bought it and I'm very happy with it. It feels a little cheaper than the metal ipod shuffle but its WAY EASIER TO LOAD. Just plug in and drag and drop music to the mp3 player which shows up as soon as you plug it in. The clip is a tiny bit less strong than the Ipod shuffle. The silcone cover or mp3 condom as I call it, is easy to put on and works well. I haven't used the radio but the sound for the player is fine and overall I'm happy with it. It works very similar to the ipod shuffle. I attached photos of how big it is compared to ipod shuffles. I was happy to find that its barely bigger! It comes with power cord ( but you have to have your own wall plug) and it comes with headphones. *** EDIT *** Have been using daily for 7 months now. battery holds charge for a LONG time, no issues with sweating on it like some others have said. really love it and what a great price

great mp3 player and easy to use
I was using my phone to stream music from my Amazon music account when working out at the gym, but that tended to use up significant data and also drained my phone battery quickly. This little mp3 player is exactly what I needed. It is small and light, and clips onto my shirt. It charges in two hours (I really think it's ready before that, but the manual said two hours, so that's what I did). It was really easy to drag over and copy songs from my Amazon collection. It will hold a lot more songs than I want to play. When I am bored with this set of songs, I'll change them. I honestly had no need to put my entire music collection on the mp3 player. The first time I used this, I played it continuously for four hours. I have never spent four hours at the gym, so I'm sure this mp3 player will play as long as I need it to. The earphones that come with this are light and comfortable. They have the little hooks that go over my ears, which I really like. Also, there is an on-off switch on the earphones cord, which is easy to use when I just want to talk for a minute. There is a little silicone cover for the mp3 player for "when you are sweating heavily." The controls are really simple, so I can use them without really concentrating. The center button is for "on," "play," "pause," and "off." The round dial around the center button has four sides: one side is for "volume up," one side is for "volume down," one is for "go back one song," and the other is for "go forward one song." You can hold down the forward part to fast forward. I played it on shuffle, so going back one song didn't play the song that had just finished, but played another song earlier on my list. Perhaps I will play them in order without shuffling next time. There are tiny lights that blink to tell you things, but I pretty much ignored them. Basically, when the little lights are off, you have turned the player off. This also has a radio in it, but I prefer my own music without any talking or ads, so I probably won't be using the radio on this. There is no screen to show album art, but I don't want that. I just want a straightforward, good-sounding, easy to use, light little player, and this is it. Oh, also, I put a little piece of Velcro strap, like the kind you put around computer cords, around the earphones cord to make it shorter, so I'm not getting tangled up in cord. I'm trying the cover for now. I really like this. **UPDATE: I've now had this AGPTEK MP3 Player for over a year. It works perfectly every time. It holds a long charge. I attach it to the USB port on my computer when I am working on the computer in the evening, and the AGPTEK MP3 Player charges nicely. It is light. I am not using the silicone case; I sweat a lot at the gym, but it doesn't seem to affect the MP3 player. I clip it on my shirt neckline, almost up to my shoulder. Also, I'm using a different pair of earphones now; I had other earphones that I liked better. This MP3 player is easy to use without having to look at it. It has held up well, and looks new, even though it has had constant use. I really like it.

Customer service is tops
The unit crapped out on me after using it twice. Not too happy about it. Possibly the failure may have stemmed from keeping it constantly charged via my PC's USB port between uses. (Not sure if this would have anything to do with it, just speculating.) However, the seller, Linking Port, is sending me a replacement unit f.o.c. Absolutely no-hassle whatsoever. Therefore I'll have to give this product & seller 5 stars.

Great little podcast listening device, battery lasts all day
I like this little MP# player. I listen to podcasts almost every day while I work. I think I have been through more than 20 different models of MP3 players, big and small, with and without screens, etc. This one is almost perfect. The battery lasts a full workday and I dont have to look at the device to operate it. My only complaint is that the fast-forward and reverse are too slow for podcasts which can be an hour or more.

I love it!
I love it!!!!! The waterproof glove that comes with it is a lifesaver since I sweat like crazy during my cardio workouts. Very good value for the money, clips right on and is loud !! I use my VT150 Sony earphones and the sound quality is amazing! No way I'm going to spend $100 to replace a lost shuffle from the other guys. This was a great buy. Thanks!

the bad stuff: 1
First, the bad stuff: 1.The shuffle feature is not very good. Sometimes the same two or three songs repeat. Easy enough to press a button and move on to other tunes. 2. Instructions say: "Player won't play while charging". Mine does. In fact, sometimes it automatically turns on when I first plug it in to charge. Or, when I unplug the charged unit it starts playing. And NO, I am not accidentally pushing any buttons. Not sure the blinking charge.indicator lights act exactly like the instructions either. Then WHY give it 5-Stars? I'll tell you why: 1. I AM SET FREE from iTunes! I can grab music from any source, load up the player just like any other external drive, thumb drive, memory card, etc. Just plug the danged thing in, my Windows 7 machine takes a few seconds to recognize, and SHAZZAM! Just drag some tunes from my PC to the player and go. EASY. 2. This thing is CHEAP but super light and reasonably durable. If I some how break it, or drown it, I just get another one without a thought. It's affordable and it works. Even comes with a little condom to help keep sweat or a few rain drops out of it. Not for swimming. So, CHEAP. LIGHT. DURABLE. EASY to use. That is 5-Stars in my book. If I lost it tomorrow I would buy another immediately without a second thought.

A nice alternative to Apple shuffle player
I purchased the AGPTEK MP3 player because I needed a new clip-on player for my 2k runs. APPLE stopped making the Shuffle 2GB. So, when I came across this player on AMAZON, it seem to have the same look and function as the Shuffle with some small differences. Basically, with Apple product you press one button to get a function and with other products you press more than one button to get the same function. Loading my music files to the AGPTEK was very easy using ITUNE to convert my apple music files (WAV) to MP3 and just copy and past my music to the player that reads like a regular drive on windows. I did notice that the player does not play in order by artist but by numerically and alphabetically (shuffled) but that's ok for my use. I had the AGPTEK player for a week now and so far, I like it and plan on getting another one for "levantando pesas con mi mejor amigo"

Simple, easy to use, reliable
I purchased this MP3 player to use while driving to work & listening to audio books. Works flawlessly, simple to down load to and what sold me was that I accidentally left the MP3 attached to my work shirt. Then I tossed the shirt into the washer. Ofcourse after a full cycle in the washing machine with warm water & soap, the MP3 player no longer worked. So I left the MP3 player out by the computer to dry for 2 days. After that time the player was taking a charge and I was listening to my audio book once again. Thus far it still works. I would recommend this little MP3 player.

Great little MP3 player
I'm very satisfied with this little MP3 player so far. The price was crazy cheap and I didn't expect much, but I was in a pinch with needing a music player at work. This one is perfect because it has the clip on the back, which is something I have to have. I used to have an iPod Shuffle that finally died and this is a good replacement so far! Occasionally I have to press the buttons twice if I don't really hit them the first time, but that's not a huge deal. For the price, this is a fantastic player. It was easy to set up as well, so that was very nice. We'll see how long it lasts, but honestly, if it lasts for six months I'll be happy and then order another one at this price.

Better than iPod shuffle in almost every way
I am a 57 year old music lover and trail runner. My third iPod shuffle bit the dust and since they're discontinued I decided to try the Agptek G02. I wanted something tiny and easy to control without having to read an LCD display. Reliability: The iPod shuffle was made of metal and you could probably run over it with a car without breaking it, while the Agptek is plastic. Nonetheless it seems to be well made and has given me no issues in 1-1/2 months of use trail running in hot weather. The silicon skin is a great idea and seems to be effective at keeping sweat out of the unit, so I'm hoping it will last longer than my assorted iPod shuffles. Sound quality: I'm very picky about sound quality, and have been assessing headphones and speakers for decades. My reference headphones are Sennheiser HD-600, which are high impedance phones not suited to portable devices. However using my usual running headphones (discontinued Sony MDR-A34) the Agptek G02 sounds at least as good as the iPod shuffle so I'm happy. Usability: Here the Agptek easily bests the iPod. Sure you might change the volume setting while clipping it onto your clothes, but it was almost impossible to clip the iPod shuffle on without skipping one or more tracks. Compared to the iPod, the Agptek is much easier to adjust volume and skip tracks while running thanks to the larger control surface. With the iPod I would often accidentally skip tracks while trying to change the volume or vice versa. It's also easier to see it is on thanks to the LED light. It lacks the iPod's voiceover feature, but I almost never used that anyway. Also be warned that with the Agptek in random/shuffle mode, you can not replay tracks by skipping back as you could with the iPod. Battery life: I haven't done a direct comparison (since all my iPod shuffles are dead now) but I would expect the Agptek to have poorer battery life due to the always-on LED. Nonetheless it lasted a month on the first charge, for roughly 10-15 hours of use. EDIT: it lasted at least 20 hours on the second charge! Capacity: 8GB for the Agptek G02 (not expandable) vs 2GB for the iPod shuffle (also not expandable). Big improvement! Radio: I haven't tried this feature. Price: less than half the price of the iPod shuffle though to be fair the shuffle came with ear buds. Considering the usability improvement and added capacity the Agptek is a bargain.
