Nice enclosure for my Amazon Echo Dot. The dimmer works great and I like being able to set the clock to Military time. The speaker is a real improvement over the Dots Tinny speaker. It is a little bit bigger than I thought it would be. Over all it is worth the money...

As soon as I got my Echo Dot I thought that it would be great if it had a digital clock on the front of it. Its a great nightstand accesory but without a visible clock you have to ask Alexa what time it is, which would not go over well with a sleeping wife. I found this item with a quick Google search and realized that it was exactly what I was looking for. A nice, bright but dimmable clock for the dot with the added bonus of improving the sound. I finally got mine after it was out of stock for a little while on Amazon and I absolutely love it. It isn't very big, though you should measure to see if you have enough room, especially if you have a smaller nightstand. I feel that devices like this are well designed if you do not need to read a manual to figure them out, and this device was very easy to set up. You plug in the clock, attach the dot and you're good to go. The clock is easily set using the three buttons at the bottom. The dimmer goes from super bright to completely off. As someone who has poor eyesight, a bright clock display is very important, and the max brightness on this one is probably the brightest I've seen in a bedside clock. The sound is a HUGE improvement over the dot itself. It gets loud enough to actually fill the room and has a bit of bass as well The price seems a bit steep for what amounts to a clock with a speaker, but it seems well made, its easy to use, and it works well. Also, it is the only option I've found to add a clock to the dot. Taking all of that into consideration, it is worth the money, especially if you buy it with a Christmas gift card like I did.

So before, I had my Echo Dot, I had my alarm clock, and I had my bluetooth speaker and the electric cords for all of them. Now, I have my iHome iAVS1 with my Echo Dot nestled snugly inside it. I have so much less clutter and such better sound than I was getting from my bluetooth speaker. It's such a great device. I think the sound is perfect for my bedroom. It has great quality and works really well. In fact, the only problem I have with it is that the sound is so good, that my Dot inside has a hard time hearing me over the music sometimes. Like everyone else, please, please, please get the clock controls off the bottom. Seriously? Someone thought that was a good idea??? But once you set your clock, it's not a problem. And Amazon, please please please make the Dot alarms work with a Prime Music playlist like they show in the video, but the iHome iAVS1 device is great. You should buy it today!

This is a great dock for the Dot. The wires that connect power and sound from the Dot to the speaker system are all hidden inside. Now at 2:00 am when I can't sleep, I can read the time. The sound is great. The button on the top adjusts the clock brightness. Use Echo Dot's ability to set the alarm. It will even snooze for 9 minutes when you say "Alexa, Snooze". Only thing is you need to set the time manually - it does not sync with the Echo Dot.

Excellent. Before this - I had my echo dot with an external speaker for better sound quality. This meant - Wire to plug in echo dot. Wire to plug in speaker. Wire between dot and speaker. Basically - worked well but not very 'tidy'. This unit cleans that all up. you plug your dot into the unit via 2 wires - one for the speaker and one for power - these are small hidden wires within the dock. Then you have ONE WIRE to plug the unit into the wall. Perfect. Sound quality is good (it's not a 5.1 surround system, ok?) - better than expected. Sufficient for listening to music although I will still blue tooth connect to my better speakers for that. More than sufficient for "normal alexa usage". Other reviewers complain that this is simply a cheap clock and speakers - The speakers are very good and have plenty of bang for the buck. The clock IS simple - no alarm and NOT time set by the dot. That said - What else do you really need? While I would have liked for the clock to be able to get its time set from the echo, and would have also like a built-in alarm with shutoff button - the fact is that the dot is capable of making it do this anyway. Great product - does what I expected it to do. - Ron Donofero

I have had this unit for some time now. I waited a long time to purchase because this wasn't cheap and for what it does seemed a lot to pay to tell the time. I was also nervous about some of the reviews with the clock issues. It came packaged very nice and was easy to set up. Not quite sure why people complain about the adjustment buttons being on the bottom side of the unit. Once you set the time you don't have to mess with them again. Some also complained about plugging in the Alexa and that it was difficult. I held mine close to the opening and plugged it in then put it in the holder. No issues what-so-ever. The unit works great. I love the adjustable dimming. You are not going to get Bose quality sound coming from this thing, but that's not why I bought it. It does enhance the sound and increased the quality of it. I am not regretting my purchase. Don't know why I waited so long.

Wife loves it. She's old school when it comes to having an actual box on her night stand for an alarm. I like the idea of incorporating Alexa into bedroom for controlling lights and TV. This fits the bill. Easy set up, simple operation. Just pass cables through slot and set Dot in slot. Pair the device to your Alexa app and you are done. Sound is good for what it is, vastly superior to the Dot itself of course. Its not going to rock your house but what will unless you have a BOSE. Buttons on bottom are easy to use to set time. How often do you do this, I think it's a great place for them and don't have a problem with the location like other reviewers. Sleek, simple design. Way to go IHOME.

This is awesome. Great sound and I like the touch dimmer feature. My only complaint is having to control through the echo the volume. It is on the back, but hard to get too. Nothing like putting sexy music on while getting busy with the girlfriend, then having to say, "Alexa, volume down." 3 times.

Love this. A little larger than I expected but love the usb slot at the back for charging my phone. If you are expecting a perfect stereo sound you may be disappointed. But for me and the size room it is in, it’s perfect for what I need. I will say that the clock numbers are great for seeing across the room (bright but they are dimmable). One quirk is when there are double digit hours there is a space between the two hour numbers that are too wide but one you are use to it, it’s ok. Thinking about a second one for my son’s bedroom.

This is the 2nd one I purchased (the first one lasted a LONG time, and it only stopped working after our house had a super power surge). I love that the light is dimmable to a number of different brightnesses. Works absolutely perfectly with my Echo Dot and provides a good sound. Setting it up is a no-brainer - the instructions are easy to follow and accomplished quickly while the connection to my system took only seconds. Perfect!!
