I ordered this just a tad too late and received it on the day after we initially brought our puppy home. As such, it allows me to have a comparison of what it was like with and without the Snuggle Puppy. The first night of having my puppy, neither of us got any real sleep! I am crate training my pup and she cried terribly throughout the night trying to adjust to being without her littermates while also in a new place with new people. That first night also resulted in potty breaks every 1.5 hours AFTER bed time. The next day the Snuggle Puppy arrived. I stuck to the same feeding/watering routine and the same in/out schedule for her crate. Just before bed time I took her for potty, returned her to the crate for bed time at 10:00 PM and turned on the Snuggle Puppy. She mildly whimpered (no crying or yelping) for less than 1.5 minutes and settled in with the Snuggle Puppy. The next thing I know it was 6am! She had not cried through the night and also did not alert for potty breaks. On night 3 I repeated the pattern and again she remained quiet and comfortable with the Snuggle Puppy from 10PM to 5:45 AM. Last night, was a small break from the norm in which she went into her crate at 10PM without a single whimper, however she cried at midnight in need of a potty break. She was returned to the crate and Snuggle Puppy thereafter and once again not a peep from her until 6am this morning. This item has worked wonders to ease my puppy into it's new environment and crate training pattern. My puppy will be 9 weeks old on 3/7/17. PLEASE NOTE: I did not implement the use of the warming pack; I only used the heartbeat gadget.

My pup was separated from her mother way too early and has crazy separation anxiety. I opened this as soon as I got it and she instantaneously passed out on top of it. Already know it was a good purchase

Well, we got a new puppy! Yeah!! Then night rolled around and we put the puppy in his kennel and he cried all night long. No one slept a wink those first few nights. I know some people say to get an old style clock and the ticking sound will comfort the puppy. I never really liked that idea because I was worried that the puppy would break the clock and accidentally swallow a piece of it. I happened upon this Snuggle Puppy and thought it was worth a try and seemed less risky than a clock. Well, let me tell you... he loves his puppy! I guess it didn't help that he was from a littler of 13 but having a "puppy" with a heartbeat that he could rest his head on actually made him feel better. I'm very happy I decided to give this little guy a try. If you found this review helpful please click "yes" below so I know I'm not wasting my time writing these reviews.

I have a 15 year old dog that is suffering from separation anxiety after losing our other dog of 9 years. We have decided not to replace the dog we lost since the 15 year old dog is dealing with medical issues himself and needs our full attention. The Snuggle Pup has helped a lot, now he sleeps like a log at night instead of waking up several times. It has also helped with his anxiety during the day when we are at work, instead of coming home, finding him upset and throwing a fit he is asleep and in his bed with his Snuggle Pup. The heartbeat is awesome, you can easily hear it and feel it when lying it next to your dog. The only thing the pup was a little smaller than expected, but still works great for my 60lb dog. I would most definitely recommend this product.

This dog is adorable, no parts to have to worry about chewing off and it is machine washable. The heart is still beating three weeks later and my little pug puppy likes cuddling up next to it. Very soothing heartbeat noise. I think it even puts my husband to sleep!!!

Amazing!! Must buy!! Brought home our new Havanese puppy yesterday! He loves it!! Barely cried slept 4 hours straight!! He is only 8 weeks old!!!! A must have for new puppy owners!!!

This is an amazing invention. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant because of the cost, but I did not want our new puppy to have anxiety issues the first night away from his litter/mom. We bought this ahead of picking up our puppy, and on the day off - we placed it among all the litter mates to play with and then the breeder rubbed it on the mom. On the drive home, we placed the puppy inside a puppy crate with the snuggle puppy and a towel with our scent on it - he did not even cry once. Then, once home we placed the snuggle puppy inside his crate and he would return to it every so often in between eating/playing/sniffing his closed off area in the kitchen. At night, we moved the crate into our bedroom, guided the puppy into the crate with a treat (positive reinforcement), and he snuggled up against the snuggle puppy. I am stunned to report that he did not even cry, not once. We woke him up at 2am and then at 5:30am to walk him (pre planned potty breaks for the night), and each time we would walk him back to the crate with a treat and he would settle in with snuggles. We placed a hand warmer inside along with the heartbeat, and it works wonders. Tip - the dollar store has six AAA batteries, for a dollar. Today, he has been active and engaged - but when tired he walks himself to his crate (in the kitchen during the day) and settles in (we are leaving the door open during the day for him to come in and out of the crate). If you have any hesitation at all - I say go for it. It is his favorite toy, and will stay with him for a long time to come.

My breeder suggest the Snuggle Puppy. I did a lot of research and felt it was worth a try after all the nightmare stories I heard about new puppies getting through the night. I took the snuggle puppy to the kennel to be scented by the mother. I withhold water after 7pm. Maggie climbs into the crate and plops down on top of the snuggle puppy, much as litter mates do.. She is 2 mo. and weights 4 1/2 lb. So, the first night 11-3 (I woke her) second night 11-4 she was just sitting there looking around. Same thing on the 3rd night. But the 4th night....10:30 -7am!!! This is an amazing response by a puppy that weighs so little. Snuggle puppy is a wonderful product, You won't be sorry owning one! You will have a contented puppy and a good nights sleep for yourself. Worth every penny. UPDATE: 14 months later This is an amazing toy. The best out there. Maggie is now on her second Snuggle Puppy. The first one remained in the crate until she was 5 months old, then became her toy in the house and eventually, she figured out it was stuffed and pulled it apart. Still she adored it! But after 9 months I got her a new one. She immediately removed the stuffing and still adores her "puppy". Just the other day I saw her gently licking it. She carries it to her bed every night, which always brings a big smile. This is a toy I will buy as often as needed. It's wonderful, very comforting to the dog.

I got my puppy yesterday and this is, so far, the best thing I purchased. He wrestles with it and sleeps against it. He slept through the night which I totally did not expect. The toy is bigger than he is and that make the whole thing just that much cuter. I have a feeling I will be going through a lot of batteries but I think it's completely worth it. The toy is soft and so far has taken the little guys teeth with no tearing. I'll update further if he manages to rip it open or anything Update: No tearing and I did put in a hand warmer overnight to see how that worked. It made the toy warm enough to the touch to be comforting but not too hot. I'm not sure my puppy noticed or cared and I haven't done it since. He loves to wrestle with this and sleeps next to or on top of it whenever it's nap time. Update May 2017 -- He loves this toy, he still sleeps with it every night. It hasn't had a heartbeat or the warmer in years but it is still his go to sleep toy. It goes with him to boarding and on every trip. He still has the original stuffy though it doesn't have ears or eyes anymore. I had to wash it once due to an explosion in the crate, with a lot of bleach, and it fared very well. He wasn't sure about it for a few days as it didn't smell right anymore, but he soon fell in love with it again. Im very impressed with the quality as this has lasted three plus years of pretty constant mauling.
