Overall very good quality and value for the money!
Just gave this to my son for his 2nd Birthday and he is in heaven! He hasn't quite figured out how to to use the pedal and steering wheel together but he will eventually. What sold me on this unit was the overall look, bang for buck and the parental remote control. The LED lights give an authentic feel and he already loves the little radio with built in music and auxiliary jack. Overall very good quality! The assembly was about an hour and the instructions were very straight forward, we didn't try it before fully charging and just plugged it in for the recommended 18 hours before use. I'm hoping that we run into no issues with this as I can see my son using this for the next few years on a regular basis.

This truck instantly became one of my son's favorite toys - and one of mine too! Assembly was straightforward if not a little surprising in that it used pins to secure the wheels on versus a more traditional method. It probably took an hour from unboxing to assembled. The car fits my four year old son comfortably and he's always been in the upper percentiles for growth so he's big for his age. It'll probably fit him fine next year too. You might put a two year old in the car for short rides but I personally think 3 is a better minimum starter age. He’ll probably still fit in it next year when he's five but after that he'll probably be too big. I'd say 3-6 Is the sweet spot for age but that is just me. The car runs well. It has three speeds. The lowest is a slower paced walk and the highest is almost a jog. The battery lasts as advertised, an hour to two depending on the type of riding. Honestly the battery lasts longer than my kid rides on it. The only battery complaint is that it does take a while to charge - overnight - so you really only get one play session per day. Oh, another tip - the charger - the part that plugs into the wall - has a red/green LED light that seems to indicate charging/charged. The remote is the killer app that sets this apart from all the others. The ability for a parent to control and override their kid is the difference between my kid being allowed to use it and not - between buying it and not. The remote gives you full control over driving - your kid need not do anything but sit back relax and enjoy the ride. The parking brake button is the most useful as it immediately stops the car in its tracks. It has three speed controls, in fact I think you can only control the speed via the remote (it is a little hard to see which speed it is in though from the LED lights on the remote). Two minor complaints - but they better not prevent you from buying it... One - if you turn the parking brake on and then turn the car off, the remote never shuts off, draining the remote battery - just remember to take the parking brake off after you've turned the car off and got your child out of it safely. The other thing I think I've pinpointed. The remote shuts off after like 15 seconds of inactivity (button press and no signal from car) but I think that the car can be far enough away - but still on and moving - and of course you might not press a button for 15 seconds. In this case I think the car then shifts into high gear where you might not want it to. You can immediately correct the issue with the remote by pressing a button but it can be ponderous when all of a sudden the car starts to go faster. I guess one other thing about the remote/car combo … your kid can sabotage your ability to turn the car left/right because they can hold the wheel which will physically prevent it from turning even though the remote is trying it's best to tell the car to turn. BTW - I didn't notice what other reviewers have mentioned - that it was hard to turn the car/wheel - seems fine to me. Your kid can control all aspects of the car (except speed/gear). There is only a gas pedal (no brake on the car itself). They can control forward/reverse and neutral and of course they can steer. There's a waist only safety belt to buckle them in and while it isn't a five point harness it isn't a token seat belt either. A potential reason for worry might be … If the car were on an incline and in high gear and you "floor it" … I could see it popping a wheelie and flipping over. I've definitely popped a wheelie in it before (not on purpose) this is a bit worrisome and I've considered putting weight in the front under the hood where there is plenty of "trunk" type of room for one. I also worry that if you were driving on a hill that it could topple over sideways if the hill were steep enough and the car were riding along just right. I guess even these little cars have their risks. I didn't really expect a functional FM radio to come with it and, while it is hard to program / control (there's no instructions on the "head unit") - it was a pleasant surprise. It also has a USB port where you can plug in a USB stick full of MP3s and play them. It also has a headphone "auxiliary" jack that can receive input from some device (your phone it you have a headphone out jack on it). The car even comes with a stereo male-to-male adapter to help and while a short cable seems like it hits the mark - you really want a longer male to male stereo cable so that you can plop your phone in the free space under the hood and run the cable from there to the "head unit" on the dashboard. It might stink to have the cable run but it doesn't look bad if it is a black cable - you hardly notice. There doesn't appear to be any volume controls for the speaker but the default level seems fine to me. I am still shocked the car has working lights in the front and back - they really outdid themselves with this car! As for performance - the car does well on little hills - even grassy ones - although you might have to change it into a higher gear/speed. I haven't tried it on very steep hills yet but I can see it start to struggle. An incline on grass will cause the car to work hard - draining battery. One thing I am not sure of - going down a steep hill - is there some sort of brake to throttle it from flying down the hill. I think there is in spite of having observed it go faster down easy inclines. The only real problem we have had with it is … Around each tire - down the center of them - there is a rubber band that is there to add traction - on one of the tired it occasionally pops off and needs to be put back in place. I do wish the battery were more easily user replaceable … you know so we could buy a spare and charge it and then swap it out and stuff - that would be nice. You can access the battery easily in the hood (that has tons of room for storing little items) but it seems to be glued or caulked into place at points making replacing it a bit trickier. I don't even think they sell spare batteries anyway which is a little disappointing. Folks this car isn't cheap but it is full featured fun, packed with value. If you think your kid will like this - pull the trigger, it's a great product sure to impress!

Easy to assemble
Easy to assemble. Looks nice even before my add ons (decals, plate, antenna, safety flag) He added a tail on the back! He's only 2 but when he first saw it he said "My jeep!" Remote is great. He can work all the buttons / controls on the jeep but we need to steer it for him with the remote. He really likes the start up / rev sounds. We've only used it 3 times so far but the run time is more than an hour. After looking it over another battery could be mounted under the hood (there is a space for it.) If you know what you are doing a switch could be installed to toggle to the other battery for extended play time. It's a project for next year though. Mine runs on grass ( much better with him in it) and up a slight incline. He opens the door, climbs in, and slides through the seat belt as he is small. There is a smile on his face the whole time he's in it. This makes it well worth it. Outside of the remote, I think any malfunction would be a switch. If you can get to it it could be replaced. ( I am electrically experienced as is my brother.) Wish they had these when I was a kid! I bought the black one, it looks tougher and the decals stand out. I even bought a jeep decal for the hood from a jeep parts store.

Fun
I scanned all the reviews before purchasing and I recall some of the bad comments so I'd like to make it easier for people purchasing this. It's a great toy and it's also easy to modify almost everything on it. I've purchased a 5 point harness(https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HEXS2I2/) for my 1 year old, and some jeep decals so far. The wheels are plastic, which I'm looking to replace at some point but I haven't found suitable wheels yet. The rear wheels have a rubber band, I assume for traction. The turning on pavement is a little jerky and so is the stop/starting sometimes but it has good torque. Assembly was longer than stated from most people, which took me about 1 hour including unboxing. The seat is a semi hard plastic which I'm thinking of replacing or buying (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FZGLHYM) for padding or replacing the seat entirely. Pointers: The rear axle is attached to the inside of the jeep by two plastic clips. It sorta looks like its part of the jeep, which has caused some confusion "Missing pieces". The battery is not connected under the hood. I think that have been some people thinking that the battery wont charge or the jeep wont run because of this....they never connected the battery.

Very Impressed, much better than name brand Powerwheels.
Very, Very, Very, Impressed with this product. Some assembly required, but it's not that bad. I would note that the front axle & steering needed some WD 40 to get it moving easy until it was broken in. EVERYTHING works exactly as advertised, if not way better. It has excellent torque, and traction. Kid nearly drove clean over the couch. It has a real, sprung suspension, lights, radio, MP3 player w/ pre-recorded kid songs (my daughter likes them the most) Functional media and horn buttons on the steering wheel. Just tons of Detail you don't see in the name brand units you see at Walmart, ect.... Unit can easily support up to or even more than 80 pound child. The downsides are that it is a single seater and apparently, Best Choice Products Refuses to sell replacement parts of any kind for these units, which is poor business practice, such a great product should have support behind it as well, for when things don't go as planned, or parts simply wear out. Ours Came complete, and with some common sense you have to sync the remote, and plug in the battery. Meanwhile, I found the manufacturer of the control modules, by wellye, they come with new remotes too, Amazon has them for only $25 USD, So I can fix it if it ever breaks. Batteries are simple enough to change, or add another 12v to the system for longer runtime, as it takes a pretty standard chinese 12v sealed lead acid battery, that you can buy cheap on amazon, as long as you get the right measurements. In conclusion, I Highly recommend this product, and would gladly purchase it again. I will also attach a URL for the replacement module and remote. it was all good reinforced nylon and the fit and finish in assembly ...
Can't complain. My 2 year old and I have put this machine to the test. It's ran through tall grass, up and down hills, and all over the countryside. It may not be the fastest machine on the block, but it doesn't quit. I have upgraded the stock 7AH battery to twin 12AH units as there's a precast 2nd battery housing in the passenger side engine bay, and I routed the radio antenna up through the windshield housing which greatly improved the radio reception. However, if you do add a second battery, please make sure they're wired in parallel, as wiring them in series will produce 24V, and burn up either the motors or gearboxes in very short order. On that note, while I was replacing the stock 18? 16?ga. wiring to the motors with 12ga. to ensure the most efficient power transmission, I split apart one of the gearboxes and was rather impressed. While everything was of course plastic, it was all good reinforced nylon and the fit and finish in assembly seemed solid. I would venture under normal operating conditions the failure mode of this machine will be the electronics under the hood. The remote control seems great out to at least a couple hundred feet with direct line of sight and at least with my toddler quickly averted his poor steering choices. When all else fails the "P" button on the remote kills all power to the driveline. Overall, this machine has seen dozens of hours of use in lots of different conditions, many of which it was probably not designed nor intended to endure, and has performed admirably.

Very happy with this product, I had some battery issues but I called customer service and they compensated me to get new batteries and charger. I do have to say the reason I gave 5 stars is due to the great customer service. They fixed issues fast and did not give me the run around, also the jeep is well built and looks sweet. Other than battery issues my son love this thing, it mobs the badland of a back yard I have with very little issues of traction and power. To be honest I'm jealous I can't ride with him. He loves zombies so I decked it out with some personalized zombie hitting stickers and we have our self a response vehicle

Awesome truck, great price and perfect for kids of all ages. The controller works great. Comes in handy in busy places where you need to take control to slow or stop your child. Also great for going on walks as you can stop your child from getting to far ahead and even slow their speeds. Easy to assemble and works great. Update, battery has degraded very noticeably after only 1 month. Might be a good idea to find a suitable replacement battery from the get go.

This thing is great!!!
This thing is great!!! I saw some negative reviews, so I was a little leery at first. I bought this for my 22 month old grand son and he loves it. Since he's quite a bit too small to operate it alone and since it's remote controlled, actually, we both love it. We live in the city, so we go from front lawn to front lawn. Jeep works great in the grass, great on the sidewalks, great over bumps, and great from grass to sidewalk to bump and back again. I sometimes drive it at the top speed, fully charged and, just like a real Jeep, it flexes and holds the terrain. Those over-sized tires make the difference. They also help with stability. I can see where assembly can be a little intimidating to a none do-it-yourself-er. Here's my advise: throw away your assembly instructions and watch the YouTube video on assembly. Takes about 35 minutes to an hour-ish (depending on you). Just remember to charge it a FULL 18 hrs. The battery charging system is not very sophisticated and relies you to stay on top of your charge time. If you want some further info, look at the reviews on the pink one. A guy did some modifications to allow you to monitor your charge and extend the battery life. Some really good info. Personally, I say put away any doubts on this ride-on, your kid(s) won't be disappointed, Still, I say buy the 3 yr. warranty for additional peace of mind. I did.
