Simple installation, works great on the factory roof rack on our Sienna van. Used it to run to Winter Park, Eldora, and Steamboat with no issues. Fits 4 sets of skis (2 adults, 2 kids) with a bit of room to spare, so unless you are using wide skis, I would expect it to fit 3-4 adult sized ski sets. The lock feature would stop an honest thief, but I would not leave these out overnight anywhere to tempt a rogue. It's great to free up space inside the vehicle and keep the snow and ice from melting in the car after a day of skiing.

After reading tons of reviews of lower cost ski racks, I went with Yakima. I am not certain if the others failed due to "operator error", but I didn't want to take the chance, so I splurged. The mounting went smoothly, the locks work smoothly and there was little/no noise with the racks on, with, or without, the skis in them. I just went for a several hundred mile (each way) trip with them (most of it freeway (so up to 85 mph)) and they worked great.

Easy assembly and installation. Took 20 minutes out of the box. Installed on to o Sportrack roofrack easily. Good locks and rack swings open and closed smoothly. Great value.

I use for fishing poles works better then I thought . kick ass product
