Closest one to what I had as a kid. Cut it up and made it into custom floor mats for my 1964 Toyota FJ40. People get a kick out of it and it makes me smile when I get into the car.

Size

Perfect size! I didn't want wall-to-wall. Big enough for a growing 4yo, small enough for his room needs. His various car sizes seem to race perfectly on the streets without getting caught on the fabric. Doesn't move during his activities. Creases are smoothing out quickly after only a few minutes in the floor.

Great quality mat

Bought this for my 4 yr old grandson for Christmas. He had a smaller vinyl one but the dog chewed it up. Hopefully this one will last. I ordered this one specifically because it had a carpet look and skid proof back. That way it won't slip all over the room and it will lay flat after I unfold it for a few days. Should be able to damp wash it with a cloth. Perfect size 60 inches by 32 inches without taking up too much room, can also be folded or rolled to put away. The roads on the carpet are bigger than for match box so most small cars and vehicles will work on this.Will give the kids hours of pretend fun. I read reviews on a lot of these type of mats and this one was rated as one of the highest within this price range. Some reviewers complained because both sides of the front are the same, but a kid doesn't care they just want to move their cars through the town. And each rug/mat I looked at had something I did not like. So for the money this is the best one I found. I would order it again and very happy with the quality and looks of this playmate.

Perfect gift

This was purchase as a gift for our 25 month old nephew. He LOVES it. Bought the trucks as well as cars with their own garage that work perfectly. Rug is big enough without being too huge. Great items for parents to interact with child. SO glad I had someone share the concept that this would encourage family interaction and this worked perfectly. PS now almost 6 months later, he still plays on it all the time and we expect him to get another couple years out of it.

Well made Perfect size.

Perfect, not too big, not too small. This is for my grandson when he visits, and quite frankly it's a relief that it's not as big as the old style ones from 30 years ago. I'm able to leave it out all the time, it doesn't overwhelm the room. Also, I really like the road patterns and "buildings." It's well made, and I'm looking forward to many happy hours playing with my grandson using this product.

It's a runner carpet

Look at a tape measure! Why don't I follow my own advice? It's a great quality carpet, but too small for my intentions. I wanted a new play rug for my classroom. My current car carpet is 12 years old and is just now starting to fall apart. I'll keep this one, but I did order another one that is six feet by five feet. Im sure they can use both during indoor recess. No big deal. Tape measure! Lol...

Finally found the perfect mat.

I searched FOREVER for the right one. Went through three blah ones before this. This is the perfect size. The creases come right out. We have had it for months now in a fairly heavy traffic area in the play room. The color is still like new. Nice and vibrant. I throw it in the washer when needed and air dry it. I don't know if I'm supposed to but with three boys, everything is machine washable haha. Highly recommend this. My 2 and 5 year olds play together on it nicely.

play rug

I purchased this for my 5 and 8 year old grandsons to use with their various cars, trucks, lincoln logs, army guys, etc... And they choose it often. The back is rubberized. It is fairly thick - but too much so - it feels sturdy. The rug print is large - plenty of room for two to share space - eye balling it spread out it looks like about 2 1/2 to 3' wide and about 4' long. After a few uses, they noticed the print pattern repeats... so it's like its one print that has been doubled. They talk about the buildings... they make up stories about the structures and even the streets and ponds... I'm sure they will get tired of it eventually... but I think I'll get the price of the rug out of it and then I'll share it with a local daycare or women's shelter. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

Very high quality and amazing value

I was actually shocked when it arrived. It was packaged into a nice and neat square. It had no smell when it was opened up like so many other products have had in the past. The rug was VERY high quality, the print was detailed, and the kids loved it immediately. They were constantly surprised when they discovered new items/objects on the rug too. It can be put away flat, or rolled up and put into a closet. Would definitely recommend!
