Worked perfectly, but a little on the quiet side

Worked perfectly for my needs. The speakers were going out on my TV, so I grabbed this to connect it to the aux input of my computer speakers. It worked, but the audio output is a lot quieter than my computer. I had to turn the computer speakers up to 2/3 volume to hear it decently, which meant I had to turn my computer volume down to 10 to keep it from being too loud. That worked for all of 5 days before the TV died completely, so, now I had to buy a new TV, and have this thing just sitting around. I does work as advertised.

It Works!

So far so good. And the price was right, with the 3.5 mm out a very nice addition. Attaching a bluetooth transmitter to it gives you a clear signal to headsets.

Worked great to hook up expternal speakers to Samsung TV

Used this to convert digital output from my Samsung TV to some external computer speakers. This required digital out from the TV and input to the speakers with a headset jack, so this adapter did the trick :-) Very easy to setup; took less than 5 minutes. As other reviewers stated, if you use this for TV sound output, make sure your TV supports PCM audio format (usually under sound/audio format SPDIF). Also, you'll need a 5v output AC power adapter with a micro USB to power the converter. The only limitation with the configuration is the TV remote volume doesn't work with the attached external speakers, which is a feature of the TV and/or inexpensive speakers and not the converter. Altogether I'm quite satisfied with this purchase. Note to seller: it would be great if this converter was sold with the AC power adapter, I'd be happy to pay more for it to be included.

Great for Xbox models

I will keep it short, basically hooked up the new samsung tv to this little box by optical out from tv, and connected the xbox one x to the tv by hdmi, then i hooked up my old Logitech X-540 sound system to the audio aux by 3.5mm audi jack. Boom-shaka-laka!!! Easy to install. Very affordable. Convenient as you can connect to the tv usb or any usb to power it up. Comes with everything you need. Plug and play. Very good sound quality. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to integrate old school to new tech.

I am satisfied with this digital optical converter

I am satisfied with this digital optical converter. I got this for my daughters Samsung TV. My idea was to run speakers to my daughters bed so she could hear her TV better. She has hearing loss and can't hear her tv very good without her hearing aids in at night. Can't sleep with hearing aids in. I'm not very techy, so I wasn't sure if I could install this myself, but I did it, and it wasn't as hard as. I thought it would be. Reading the instructions really help. You have to turn your tv on the right settings for this to work properly. The device works good I have had no problems with it.

Great product works just as described.

This works great. I thought I got a tv with a/v ports and when it arrived, they sent me a newer model of tv. Can't really complain about that. But did need the a/v to hook up my headphones in my shop. This worked perfect and still does. Great product does exactly what it says. I had to learn how to change the andudio output on my tv to get it working, but that was all my issue, not the product. I watch/listen to music or books or shows about 10 hours a day everyday. Never had an issue with it. (It is in my wood shop and is just always going, not that I pay attention all the time, but it does help dampen the noise and helps me get on with my day.

Great company.

It does not work on my 55'' Samsung TV. Just very loud static e feedback. Zero audio playback. Very unfortunate I have to settle now for a soundbar which is not impressive. I miss my old surround sound. Update This company is absolutely amazing. The original item I purchased from them did not work. I wrote a review then they contacted me via email. I told him what was going on and they sent me a replacement. I then tried the new converter and it works flawlessly. Honestly one of the best companies I have dealt with. ! If I was good with technology I would post the replacement they sent. I give the company an A++

A viable solution when you have a device with a ...

A viable solution when you have a device with a single HD Audio output plug similar to a RCA plug that you need to split to accommodate another downstream device requiring the old style analog L/R RCA plugs. Keep in mind the Input side may require an optional HD Audio cable but the Output plugs will accommodate the old style RCA jacks previously utilized

Great product but pay attention to power source

Couldn't be happier with my decision to buy this item. Installation was a "no brainer" (using the optical audio hook up between my Samsung OLED and Onkyo amp) and I can now use my Sennheiser earphones. One word of caution, the power cord ends with a USB plug not a standard AC plug. Not a problem if you have a USB outlet close by or a USB/AC converter plug.

Works perfect. Using to convert digital to analog for TV listening headphones. When using the provided Toslink cable, be sure to remove the plastic-nipples on each end of the cable before use. Good follow-up by LINKFOR company after the sale, to check that everything was to my satisfaction. It was. Price was good too, and would buy this again. Only complaint, was for Amazon's slow shipping (they handle this for LINKFOR). It took Amazon FIVE DAYS to finally ship, and another 5 days to arrive, with no word as to the reason for the delay. This was not the seller's fault, so good rating stands.
