buy quality when you need it to work

these speakers rock - OMG the sound is clear and strong - I will most likely buy another set for the front of the boat - NOTE they are 6 inches wide - larger than normal - but worth it

it will blow most speakers away

blows my polks, jl, and kickers away. installed these on my jet ski, yes my jet ski. rattles my teeth! I have all skar subs, and will soon do a full skar build. stuff is way underpriced.

A must have in my boats.

Installed a pair of these on my 19ft scout with a clarion receiver. These speakers are absolutely amazing and very load. I will be buying more for my other boat that has 4 speakers and are not as loud 2 of these.

FREAKING AWESOME

I dont normally write reviews, but i do marine audio for a living and let me tell you, THESE KICK TAIL!!! Replaced old Jl with these in a customers boat as a test, and they blew both of us away. Set of 4 and a 5 channel amp is about to go in my donzi. I cannot wait for summer to hear these scream in the cove!!

Wont be dissapointed.

Speakers exceeded my expectations for the price, I have only a head unit with no amps and the sound quality with the highs and lows was pretty impressive. I have had my share of marine speakers over the years like RF, Kicker, & Infinity and i can honestly say these 6.5 are definitely a competitor. Speaker have some weight to them and have large magnets, mounted in my console they have plenty of air space and put out some base. Like to see some 7" or 8" marine speakers in the future from Skar.

I’m a marine installer by trade. Die hard JL Audio guy just like the rest of them. I have to admit that I am quite impressed. These speakers are well made and sound great. I have not installed them in a boat yet but I have them installed in a box on my work bench for test purposes and I’m blown away by the sound quality considering the price. Currently powering them by a JL 200/2 and they are crisp and pack a punch. You absolutely need to amplify these speakers to do them justice. I’m anxious to see how well they hold up in the actual marine environment. My customer didn’t want to spend JL Audio money so I promised him that I’d see what we can put together on a budget. I don’t think there’s any competition in this price range. He’s going to be blown away!

WOW, I am impressed with the clarity and db

I only post when I am impressed or disappointed and I am EXTREMELY impressed with these speakers. Everyone said they were clear when loud and I took a gamble to check them out for myself and have to say they were not wrong. I am only pushing them with 75watts and they are loud and clear. Enough low end to be happy with ( I used freq crossover to protect them). I would recommend and purchase again

Sound fantastic

Pros: they sound AMAZING. They are able to put out some serious volume and remain crystal clear. I am powering them with a Skar 500 watt amp. Cons: They do not fit into a factory hole. You will have to make the hole a little bigger
