Absolutely Perfect!

Initially I received the package missing some critical parts. Basically all I got was the light strip itself. I contacted the seller, who promptly shipped me the missing parts. I had the missing ones in two days. After receiving the missing pieces, I shelved the project until I had more time to install. The supplier contacted me to inquire if I received the missing pieces and if I needed any more assistance. After a few minutes going over the pieces, I was able to assemble, connect and test the light strip. The light strip worked when plugged in, the physical remote worked when tested. I set up the Wi-Fi app on my Android phone and tested it. It worked perfectly. I then set up Alexa to work with the strip and successfully tested her ability to operate the strip. 100% satisfaction. A great product that does exactly what it say it will. I will be purchasing more strips and evaluating any additional products this supplier sells. Supplier very responsive to issues brought to their attention.

Works with Google Home, Nice app, vibrant colors.

Works as expected. The adhesive isn't the best, make sure your surface is really really clean. Connecting to the app is easy, I can easily tell my Google home to change the lights to a range of colors. One thing that is disappointing is that I made several custom functions and color cycles, however Google home can't select it, I'm assuming that's only controlled from the app. The other issue is the IR receiver, it will change based off your tv remotes lol, I just covered mine up. If you are going to use wire to connect them over a distance, I recommend souldering the connections to the clips you can buy. Overall great product!

Fun lighting product for Holidays or party decorating!

This is a really cool product. I bought for my front windows. I can adjust the lights for whatever Holiday we are celebrating, use them as a backdrop for a party inside or out! Was very, very easy to install and set-up--but be careful, this is a one placement tape issue. Had not lined it up properly and had to remove and then re-attach, now that section not sticking so good, even with additional double-sided tape. Easy to add app to my phone, and add to Amazon Alexa. Easy to create custom lighting--I did repeating green, yellow and purple for Easter--named it and saved it! Cannot wait to try it with music. 4/16/18-Follow-up--so the tape gave way and would not hold to re-install. I contacted seller and they were beyond helpful. They offered a partial refund to purchase additional double-sided tape, and then even sent me a link to a 3M product that was not only suitable, but less than the refund. They followed up with me repeatedly to ensure I was satisfied. GREAT customer service. My daughter installed the set I bought her and linked it up to her music for a party she had the other evening. Her guests were very impressed! Thanks again. Will be buying more as gifts!

Very happy with the product and company.

After buying quite a few of the "cheap" led strips and not being happy with them I ended up looking at the higher priced strips and found this one... I was a little worried at first to spend the 30 dollars on something I could of spend 5 dollars on but the overwhelming amount of reviews of the amazing customer service and the responses to negative reviews made me feel safe that even if I was disappointed with the product they would figure out a way to fix it.. I was not expecting waterproof version and everything I have to do this is for non waterproof led strip so I sent them an email and got a response so fast I almost missed the email.. They send me videos on how to remove the silicone over the led so the parts I got will work On to the product. I am very happy on every way with this strip the leds are very bright the colors are perfect and the app works very well with both my note 9 and through the alexa. I have philips hue lights as well and the process time of telling the app what I want the lights to do (turn on/off/change color) the nexlux strips responds faster then my hue lights. Im pretty impressed by these lights and am more than likely going to be buying more.

Great customer service, great product!

I had these hooked up in my basement for 5 weeks and they suddenly stopped working. I've unplugged them and tried just about everything. They were plugged into a surge protector and everything else plugged into appears to work. I was really happy with the price and quality until it stopped working. Update: The day after I wrote my initial review, I was contacted by customer support and a new strip was sent to my address. These lights work great. I think I simply had a defective strip. You can buy with confidence since their customer service was awesome!

As good as Hue at a fraction of the price

I had a hard time choosing which LED lightstrip to get. They all look alike, and to be honest I was questioning the validity of some of the reviews. I took a chance on this item and I lucked out. The lightstrip itself is decent quality, and setup was pretty fast and easy for the most part. I did have a problem getting my lightstrip connected to my iPhone app, but the problem was my misunderstanding of the instructions. I emailed the seller, who responded within a couple hours with the fix, and I got it working easily. If you do end up getting this lightstrip and you have an issue connecting it to your wifi, I will share my experience. When you first open the app on your phone, the LED broadcasts its own wifi that you need to connect to, after which it syncs with your home wifi (hopefully that makes sense). When I tried it, I mistyped my wifi password and it failed. After that, I wasn't able to find the LED wifi signal again on my phone. The instructions that come with the lightstrip say to turn the strip on/off several times to "reset" it. I thought it meant to turn on/off using the remote, but it needs to be powered on/off (4 times) via the power source (either the plug in the wall or the plug between the power cord and the wifi controller). Once I did this, it reset itself and I was able to get it synced without issue. You don't have to sync it with a phone app - the supplied remote control allows you to handle most functions, but the phone app is superior. You have much better control over color gradients, as well as the temperature of the light itself. Plus, this is where you access the special functions (sync to music, etc). In summary, I can't speak for the myriad of other lightstrips on Amazon, but I'm very satisfied with this one and will probably buy another one soon for the other side of the room. And like the title says, I think it's as good as my Hue LED strip. If only I could control it from my Hue app, it would be perfect .

Get ready to party

I have now ordered 2 sets of these. One for my island and one for the kitchen perimeter. These LED strips are nice and bright, easy to use (with the app or Alexa) and they have a good sticky back. The instructions are sufficient as well. See attached images to see how I installed them. It is a head turner when guests come over. Not only that, the app allows you to sync the lights with your music so you can really make your environment alive! Alexa integration is really awesome as well. You can also ask Alexa to change the colors/brightness as well. If you want a pure white LED, then these might not be best bet as these have to recreate white with RGB LEDs. If you want RBG, then go for it! I am quite happy with these lights and they are a fraction of the price of Hue strips. Hue Strips are $90 for 6.6ft, and these are around $30 for 16.4ft for nearly similar bells and whistles

Just received the lights and got them setup. Product as described and works great. Gives a great color aura of the desk/room that I applied the lights to. The adhesive tape sticks/holds the lights well in place. Everything was a breeze to setup except for connecting another section via pin connector, at least the ones I purchased. Ensure you have electrical tape to wrap tightly near the edge of the section your cut and insert the connector. The gel like material will peel up and not hold the connector down for contact. The connection is finicky/fickle. I slightly wiggled the end of the strip while the lights were on to ensure red, green, and blue displayed on all sections I connected. The first time through, each section except the main would show either or. That part of the installation was a pain and time consuming. I'm happy with the lights and Wi-Fi controller. I'll definitely buy again.

Great Light Kit. Works with Alexa (color control too!!)

This kit came with everything you need to install and setup the lights on wifi. The colors on the LED Strip are really good, from my experience with LED lights which is moderate. The lights are very long compared to other kits I have bought for about the same price. WiFi setup is very easy once you download the App. Took me one try and it was up and running. These lights also work with Alexa, which again was very easy to setup. These lights can also be color controlled through Alexa, though its not clear from the app what commands work. I know they work with the basic color changing. FYI - I did have some minor issues with a couple of the light strips that I purchased. One of them, a few of the LEDs were out. Another instance, the lights had a different hue than the others I installed, so the colors did not match. In both instances, Nexlux Customer Service replaced my strips with no hassle and I received them within 2 days. I will continue to purchase my LED Light Strips and accessories from Nexlux!
