Lives up to expectations.

This product is terrific for those of us who want to keep their cars clean without dealing with water spots. The water in my area is incredibly hard and requires instant removal or chemical methods will be necessary to remove them from glass and other surfaces (e.g., windex/glass cleaner does not remove the spots). On my first use of this filter, I demoed it on a black car. After a simple foam cannon wash and rinse with a power washer, I put the car in the garage and let it air dry. No spots. Zero. Incredibly happy with it. Installation is a breeze. Directions are clear. I put a small low GPM power washer on top of the car and it is easy to strap down. Very pleased with this setup. I am very pleased with this product at this time.

I have to say, the product DIC-20 worked fantastic. Unfortunately for whatever reason the unit was really not the best size best for my application. After a call in to CR Spotless, they worked with me 100%, suggested an alternative. There willingness to correct the problem is top notch, you can tell they believe in there products. I am very optimistic that after our conversations, and some tweaks in how to use most efficiently, especially if you have pretty hard water. There is no better feeling than when you do all the right stuff and putting the time into making your car look good, to wash it, rinse and walk away.... without a spot! Amazing!

This is a great product.

I have owned many boats and my big headache when washing them, is the water stains left after the water dries, well no more. My big test was after a day fishing, my windshield was covered in dry salt, I simply sprayed it off and let it dry, not the slightest bit of anything was able to be seen, back to HD without any wiping or soap or even salt-away. This is a great product.

This is a fantastic product, if you're not as stupid as I was. If A few weeks ago while washing my car, I was too slow when drying my metallic black BMW 650i, and I ended up with some water spots on a small area at the rear of the car. Those spots turned out to be so impervious to any spot remover, that I eventually had to have a detailer buff them out of the paint, which of course removed the expensive Ceramic Pro coating I had. Before I reached that point, I decided that what happened to me, would probably happen again if I continued using hard water. After some research, the solution was clear. I needed a CR Spotless deionizer. I received mine on time, and couldn't wait to try it out. Assembly was a snap, with little to put together, and very clear instructions. Within 20 minutes, I was hooking the nice stainless steel clad supply line, up to my very hard household water supply, and connecting my water hose to the output side of the unit. I attached the supplied spray nozzle, and immediately began washing my slightly spotted car. After the final rinse was finished, I proudly strolled into my house, confident that I would return to an air dried car with no additional spots. To my horror, the entire car was covered in water spots. I contacted customer service at CR Spotless to find out what they had done wrong. I have to say, John, and the rest of the staff, handle things promptly, with courtesy, and a knowledge that gets things solved quickly. You see, if you take mineral filled, hard water, and put it through their DIC 20 System, the water will reach the output fitting mineral free. This is the important part of my review, and my main purpose for writing one. DON'T USE AN OLD HOSE ON THIS UNIT! The 10 year old garden hose I attached to the outlet, was so contaminated with minerals, that the deionized water dissolved many of them on its way through the hose, and then redeposited the minerals on my black car. These spots we're so tenacious that I eventually had to have them buffed off, and my expensive ceramic coating reapplied. Switching to a new hose, dedicated to this unit totally solved the problem of spots. Now I can rinse the car and walk away with no towel drying. When I come back, the car is beautiful! Don't hesitate to buy this deionizing system, just don't use it until you get yourself a new water hose! It should be common sense, but I didn't think of it, so I hope this review keeps someone else from making the same expensive mistake I did.

Actually works as intended!

Was a little skeptical of getting spot free rinses in the direct sunlight as I had tried numerous filters/etc in the past with mostly failed results. Wanted to give a CR Spotless product a try. It absolutely works as advertised. It's pricey but that doesn't matter to me if the product works as intended, and it did. Direct sunlight, connected this to a pressure washer, rinsed, absolutely no spots. None. Now, I can't testify to how long this will keep up, but I've went through a few washes so far and the meter still reads "0" ppm. I believe the instructions say to change the resin once it gets close to 20 ppm. I read on a forum where one person is on year two with the same original resin. Of course, I know this can vary greatly depending on the hardness of your water but if I just make it one summer, it will have been totally worth it. Especially considering I would spend multiple dollars every visit to the local car wash to get "spot free" rinse and even that didn't work as well as the CR Spotless.

Works pretty good

I got in 3 washes on the car before putting both away for the winter and it did what it says it can. I ran it directly from my well spout to the CR Spotless, then to my power washer https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FSJ8GZ8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Quick rinse, then use the foam cannon, rinse, foam again using mitts. Rinsed off again and let it set. I found a spot or two it a couple of odd places the first time, never again. Black car, summertime. Was hot as can be, worked great. Worth the money. The only thing I am looking to see is how many washes I can end up getting out of the filled filters it came with. Bonus that you can buy recharge packages and refill the filters at home.

Love this! I live in the midwest where there is a lot of lime in the water and TDS measure about 250. Now, TDS is zero and I no longer have to race to get my vehicle dry. I've used the Spotless Water System twice now, and I cannot see a single water spot on my vehicle like I used to before with tap water. I haven't used it long enough to determine how many washes you get from the filters, but its worth it to me.

The 'Hot Ticket' for minerals in your well water!

We have so much dissolved solids in our well water that, even though our outside faucets are run through our whole-house softener and filters, it leaves permanent etched spots on every surface. It has been impossible to wash our vehicles or motor home because of the spots - the water literally cuts into the windshield glass and no amount of polishing or clay will get the spots out. Now we can wash our vehicles for the first time in the 5 years we have lived here!!!!! No spots, even if left to air-dry.

Best automotive purchase!

This is the greatest automotive product I have ever purchased, and its up there on my list of greatest purchases of any category. If you care about detailing your vehicles without leaving swirl marks, then you need this. It provides a no-dry option. I can attest to rinsing thoroughly with this spotless system and putting my cars away soaking wet, only to find them in perfect condition the next morning. I pair it with a pressure washer Sun Joe SPX3000 Pressure Joe 2030 PSI 1.76 GPM 14.5-Amp Electric Pressure Washer to speed the job and reduce the amount of deionized water used (prolonging the life of the filtration media). My time was always sucked up with meticulous drying of the vehicle to prevent spots, and it seemed I could never do it. Turns out it was all due to the water.

DIC-20 Great for Vehicles and Windows

I was hesitant to buy this system because of the cost, but now that I've used it I am glad I did. I had stopped washing our vehicles by hand because I couldn't keep them from spotting with our hard water. That problem has been completely eliminated. The system works great on Windows as well. We have numerous large sliders on our lanai. Washing them was always a major task. No longer. We now just use a little Dawn detergent and water, scrub them, and rinse them directly with the Spotless system. Perfect windows every time! My only remaining question is how long will the cartridges last. That said, I'm perfectly satisfied with this system thus far and highly recommended it.
