Great product!
I have baked for years but I have always used beans, rice, or nothing when blind baking. As a treat for myself, I purchased these ceramic pie weights and I am very impressed. They heat evenly and are very easy to place to the inside edge of the pie crust. I use parchment paper to line the crust and after washing the weights and drying them overnight, I placed them in the crust and baked it for about 15 minutes. The result was perfect and I am sure I will use these weights for years to come. I store them in an open quart fruit jar on my kitchen counter so they will be handy all the time. Thanks for a great product!

These work really well!
I have used these a couple of times and I like them a lot more than using dry beans or rice! I have a feeling that I'll be buying more in the near future!

Any pie maker would like these.
More than enough to use in pie making.

Rinse them off before use.
Really great! I used them to bake mini tart shells and it was more than enough to bake a dozen at a time. I will say I listened to the advise of the others who have reviewed this product before me: Make sure and rinse off the weights thoroughly before use. Also to prevent the browning or burning of the weights I left mine slightly damp before putting them to use. They will get dark eventually but this just draws out that process of having them do that too early.

Bake-well indeed.
I think these came manufacturer direct & like anything fresh out of a kiln it needed a through washing, the bag too (by hand w/beads air dry). Be smarter than me & use a colander or strainer instead of dumping them right in the sink. But because there’s a layer of paper or foil between them & your pie crust they don’t need to be washed with every use. I’m very happy with results & quality & quantity of beads.

Must have for home baker or chef
I use them as intended in pie shells, but also to weight down bags in my sous vide. Lighter items such as mushrooms will not sink down, even with all air removed, without some help. This was a great tool in helping there as well!

Size is better than my previously bought weights.
I don't know what happened go my previous review, but anyway... I really like these weights. They're a little smaller than previous sets, which means they mold better to the shape of the pie crust at the edges. Also, the bag it comes with was roomy enough to fit my larger weights, as well. I really like these.
