I like the idea of having an extra pot for my instant pot cooker if I want to make another dish on the same day. This is the same exact 6 QT insert that comes with the Instant Pot IP-DUO60 7-in-1. Because this is very much like a big stainless steel bowl, you can use this as a popcorn bowl or to make salads or as a mixing bowl too when you don't need to use it in your instant pot. WIN-WIN!

After reading the negative reviews about getting something other than Authentic Original Instant Pot stainless steel inner chamber I was leery of ordering a spare for my IP. I was relieved to find that the one I received is identical to the original - no bad fit, no cheap metal, no wrong size. I really don't understand what the customers with ill fitting, cheap knockoffs actually ordered, or if Amazon did actually substitute poor quality inner pots. I'm very satisfied with the one I received.

Unfortunately my first Instant Pot liner was dropped and dented on the rim. I needed a new one and toyed between this and the non-stick one. I ended up going with the stainless steel version again. I've had such great success and I love that if I need to deglaze the pan I don't have to worry about scratching anything up. One thing I have learned from using the instant pot for quite a while now (at least every other day for months!) is that if you do a quick shot of ORIGINAL Pam cooking spray in the bottom, you don't have hardly any mess to clean up. I emphasize "original" Pam, because I have used the pure olive oil Pam a handful of times on the same dishes and did not have the intended results as far as sticking to the pot is concerned.

I love making yogurt in my IP, but I hate to give up valuable cooking time while I wait for the yogurt to chill in the refrigerator. It made more sense to buy an extra liner than another complete Instant Pot. I was surprised that the inside of the pot had only the 1/2 and the 2/3 markings, but I never really used all the extra measuring lines in my original pot - you only need the 1/2 and 2/3 markings to succeed.

I got this as a spare for the Instant pot I have so if purchasing things fresh and freezing them, I can put the fresh item in this pot then freeze the item in the proper shape to fit when cooking. It saves the 24+ hours of defrosting the meats first. It also gives me a spare pot to use in case of multiple items are being cooked in 1 day.

I love having a second pot to prep in while the first recipe cooks. Also great if you want to cook your main course, then your grain, or vice versa. Pop one out, leave it on the stove to wait, and pop the other one in. This was a genuine instant pot product, which is all I would want to use with this expensive appliance. Since I bought one of the amazon "slightly damaged" which really just meant it was reboxed, I was also able to save a little and it was a great deal.

Some reviews on the 6-qt. size either here or somewhere else said that the separately-bought inner pot was not the same as the original that came with their IPs. So if you're buying the 6-qt. one, check that out specifically. I have the 3-qt. IP and the pot I received is exactly the same as the original. I thought "do I need a 2nd inner pot?" - wasn't sure if the space it would take plus another $20 would be worth it. Well, it is. Definitely. There are just too many times that mine is in the dishwasher or maybe I'm making a second quickie after a main course is finished. I really like having the extra inner pot.

i really love having a second pot, I was re-creating leftover turkey and ham the day after Christmas. I reconstituted dry ham in only a few minutes in the IP for ham sandwiches. Then cut up the turkey and some of it was pretty dry and put in the instant pot, then dumped in the leftover gravy. Cooked for 8 minutes and it was perfect turkey gravy for biscuits, just left it in the IP on slow cooked and put the clear lid on it. Walla! I had a full meal ready for 12 people in less than half an hour.

Love having an extra stainless steel pot for the Instant Pot pressure cooker since I use it frequently. The pot is heavyweight and polished like the original stainless steel pot that comes with the cooker. It is very easy to clean, just soak it in warm, soapy water and use a non-scratch pad to srub with and most foods will come out. If you have a tough spot that doesn't want to come out as easily, use some Barkeeper's Friend on a sponge and that will take care of it. If you do a lot of cooking in your Instant Pot, an extra pot is very convenient.

I wasn’t sure I needed the extra pot but it is great to have when y-ire cooking a big dinner. I came in handy on Christmas Day when I first cooked a Turkey Breast in one Pot then while that was cooking I was loading the 2nd pot with the ingredients for Candied Sweet Potatoes. As soon as the Turkeywas finished I lifted the pot out of the cooker and set it on the counter and put the candied Sweet Potato pot in the cooker and turned it on. While that was cooking the Turkeywas being sliced. By the time I was done with the Turkey, the candied Sweet Potatoes we’re finished. From the time I put the Turkey on until we dug in it was an amazing 45 minutes only because y0u Nd to wit for the presur4 to build up for both pots.
