Learning experience: some phones cannot be unlocked!

This should really be a 4.5 stars -- 5 for the phone and 4 for the seller. Here's why: Having successfully unlocked two Samsung phones so far, I ordered this with confidence, only to find that it cannot be unlocked. According to AT&T, there was a contract on the phone that was never completed. (AT&T should get two stars, but that's another story.) When I initially contacted the seller, they were puzzled, saying that if the phone was able to be activated on AT&T (it was), then it should be able to be unlocked. But yesterday, in an email conversation about a replacement, the seller finally revealed (cut and pasted): "Any of the phones listed as locked to a carrier, cannot be unlocked and can only be used with the specified carrier." Glad they cleared that up. I just wish they had done it before I spent several hours in a fruitless effort to get it unlocked. :( Fair disclosure: the seller has made a satisfactory offer of return or replacement, but what can't be replaced are the hours I spent needlessly trying to wrestle this issue to the ground. I can only hope my experience will help others.

I like the S7

I like the S7. I have had to get accustomed to it. All the apps have more options and features. Not really interested in all the additional safety features and I don't like how it insists that I download something or another. It was also supposed to have been gold colored but, even though the box said it was gold, it was actually black. I don't care for black because it isn't easy to see it in a purse. I fixed that by getting a light colored case.

Well worth the price!

So far I'm very happy with the S7. The phone shipped within minutes of my order. Aesthetically, the phone is flawless and it seems to function as it should. The only downside is the battery seems to be draining alarmingly fast. I knew going into the purchase that the GS7 has a poor battery life and it may just be all the updates downloading. I will post an update on a few weeks with battery performance. Some reviews mentioned having troubles activating their phone. I purchased an ATT locked device. I use ATT Prepaid, put my SIM card in and it connected to the network without a hitch. As an added bonus, the phone isnt loaded down with useless apps that all of the other ATT phones usually come with. For the price, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this as an alternative option to anyone. Update: after a couple days of heavy use, I'm very pleased with the battery life.

Very Good So Far

I just got the phone about an hour ago. I was very nervous about ordering a used phone but I am not a heavy user and did not want to spend 400 or 500 hundred on a new phone. I was concerned because I thought it was unlocked but on the order it said locked, however I put my AT&T sim card in (no instruction so very nerve racking) and wala the phone came on, connected to my wireless internet and email and a million questions answered I am on my way with the new phone. I can not answer about battery life or other things but I am hoping for the best. At least I have a new phone. I have ordered a lot through Amazon and sometimes I have to send something back which they always take care of but most of the time through agreements like this the products are normally great.

Perfect for replacements

I have broken my original Samsung galaxy s7 more times than I want to admit. All 100% my fault. So for I've bought replacements from this company three times and I've been happy with my purchase each time. The battery life on this newest one lasts less the the other ones, but that is to be expected since I'm already 3 models behind.

good as new

I was a little hesitant to make a big purchase like this online especially when I saw a fair amount of negative reviews but Amazon had earned my trust so I went for it. I have only had it for a few days thus far so maybe I am jumping the gun but so far I am very impressed. The phone is in perfect condition and the battery life (which I was nervous about) is also like-new. If they had marketed it as a brand new phone and put it in original packaging then I would have been completely duped. The only weird thing is that it is a T-Mobile phone even though it is marketed as ATT but it has been completely compatible so I'm not complaining. If I have any problems then I will come back and change my rating but for now, I could not be happier with my purchase. I feel like I got a great deal

Good purchase

I was a little leery of purchasing a refurb, but I am happy with my purchase and the money I saved. I've had the phone for a little over a week, and so far so good. I have not had to contact the seller or tech support so no comment on customer service. Battery seems fine. No problems with this phone, and condition was as described!

Thinking about buying a second one

Have been using this phone for ~5 months now. Works good. Battery drains kinda fast but it's a common problem with this model. My work phone is also a SG7 and battery drains fast as well.

Ok, so not a big fan of refurbished products, here is what I know currently, from December to February... Beautiful phone, some minor scratching on the rear of the case, screen was in awesome shape....as a xmas gift for my wife, I also found that the samsung wireless charger I purchased to go with it in a tan color is more goldtone, and compliments it very nicely. She spent about 5 minutes hooking it up to her account, and no problems since. I am impressed!

Samsung Galaxy S7 32GB G930A

Nice phone, arrived on time, just swapped SEM from my old ATT phone and new one started working. Thanks. 2 weeks into it and everything is working fine. Battery life is something to learn about.
