Our house has an annoyingly-sized refrigerator nook and so our selection of refrigerators is very limited. The one we ended up buying was quite a bit noisier than the previous model (no longer made) so I listened carefully to where the compressor noise escaped the nook - mostly through the gap between the top of the fridge and the overhead cabinet. Fortunately, there was plenty of room for airflow regardless, so I covered the underside of the cabinet with the .36" tile, and used the leftover on the wall behind the compressor, where the noise originates. (There's still adequate space for ventilation - the nook has a chimney vent in back.) Result was absolutely brilliant. My housemates knew what I was up to and one of them came in when I was done and asked, "...is it on?" And it was. If the clothes dryer (down the hall) hadn't _also_ been on, he'd've heard it, and I certainly heard it, but the high-pitched tones in particular - the really annoying ones - are just _gone_. I've ordered some more to run up along the sides of the back wall, just because I can. Sound has to bounce off that to come out the side air gaps, and those are now the main source of sound travel, so... why not stop that too? It's not the cheapest approach, but it's a _lot_ cheaper than the alternatives. (This fridge wasn't cheap, but the other ones that would fit start at $1000 more and go up from there. It's a _really_ annoying refrigerator nook.) So, yeah. Really happy. Just make sure you've got enough venting/airflow, or you'll choke your refrigerator. But if you have the airflow, or you can add it (see also: the chimney vent) then go for it.

It may not look as good as the other soundproof panels out there, but I assure you it works better than most panels out there. Just put some on your door, it can take away some noise coming from outside and sounds from going out as well. However, please take notes that it will not take away 100% of the sound, I feel like it takes away 70% which is pretty good and depends on how many you put. Only if I can afford more of these then I can have a quieter room because they are more costly than other soundproof panels out there.

Used these panels on my very thin and flimsy apartment door. I could hear conversations, doors opening, people walking. Once I put the panels up, sounds are muffled and it's given some weight to the door. Thinking about paint the panels or using it as a reminder board.

I turned one of my bedrooms into an office I hired a company to put up “sound deadening “ wallboard and put in dense insulation in the shared wall and weather stripping around the door. It did very little except cost me a lot of money. I could still hear everything. I bought this product and amazing!!! I hear only muffled voices which is fine. I did put this on the entire shared wall - not just a checkerboard pattern I am sooo happy. I have a home office thanks to this amazing stuff. I can’t believe wasted $2000 on the contractors wallboard I just need to weatherstrip around the door and use this product

Best thin soundproofing material I have found. Bought it for a recessed with a noisy motor and it cuts down more than have the noise. Expensive, but I think it's the best when your space is limited.

Will you even be able to hear this review? These sound panels are fantastic. I'm in a busy office where we have an open floor concept. Sound is constantly being transferred. I needed a quieter space to make my phone calls and this was the perfect solution. At this price I have other co-workers looking for more info on them too. My one regret is that I didn't buy more on Prime Day... I'm okay to pay full price now that i'm familiar with quality of Burton products.

Nicely made. Hang well with Command strips. Seems to have helped dampen echo and decrease noise from neighboring apartment.

Already notice a big difference in reducing noise in my office. I stuck these panels behind large pieces of art and you can’t even notice them! Will definitely be buying more in the future. Highly recommend.

I sued these panels in the back of my Subaru to help cut down the road noise. I think it cut the sound down by at least half. Thanks.

I lined a particle board enclosure of a 1/2 HP centrifugal blower with these acoustic panels. As measured by a sound meter, the noise level outside the enclosure was reduced by 10 dB as compared to the unlined enclosure. In human ear terms, these panels reduced the sound level by half !!!
