This powered hub is amazing. I never realized how much I needed dedicated on and off buttons until I bought this. I have a USB powered LED lamp connected to one of the ports, and all I need to to do to turn it on is push a button, I leave my flash drive plugged in to one of the ports, and when I need to use it, just push the power button, and it's available. On another port, I have a laptop stand with built-in fan, and if I want a little extra cooling, I can push a button and the fan will start. I also power a 61 key MIDI controller, and it has absolutely no problem getting enough power through this hub, and in addition I have an audio interface connected to one of the ports, and it too receives enough power. I would buy this again if I found myself in need of another hub in the future. Mines hub is the one with 7 ports, and it is so convenient to have so many ports available. There are plenty of cables coming out of the top of this thing now, but that doesn't bother me at all, if it did, I could find a way to place it more out of the way instead of suction cupped to my monitor stand.

Good idea. Bought it because it was "powered". The customer service associated with my purchase was superb. The seller is an example of a fine seller. The product works perfectly.

I used to add more USB 3 by adding an internet card to the expansion port on my motherboard and I was happy with the performance and functionality of that card until it happened that I even needed that expansion port for something more important so I ended up choosing one of these USB 3 expansion slots by wire. After doing some research on Amazon and google, I found this product as one of the high ranking options and I should say that I do have several external HDD all high capacity and USB3 and I am using Windows 10. I was kinda hopeful with the result but in comparison with what I used to use, I thought that I wouldn't be able to reach the speed rate of the internet card I used to have. After installation which is as simple as easiest thing a person can do, I started testing and BOOM. It's not only designed very well but it functions exactly as it says, meaning if not more but the result of the speed test proofs that I am getting the maximum USB 3 data transfer rate that I ever used to get from my PC. Besides on this one I have control over each individual port because of the on/off switch which works fine on everyone of them except the 8th one which is designed to charge your device like smart phone. I'm super happy with this purchase however I don't know how long this product is going to last. One last thing is, since I am not an Apple user I don't know if it is fully compatible with Mac or not although I don't see any reason for not to be. Well designed product, fantastic functionality and reasonable price. Good job GOM.

I had a previous, poorly-designed USB 3.0 hub that died on me. For a replacement, I wanted something that was self-powered (AC adapter) and had multiple ports. This one had great reviews and seemed to fit the bill, so I bought it! I love the fact that each port can be powered on individually. It'd be nice if the lights could be turned off, but it certainly makes it easy to know one they're powered on or not. The instructions are simple and straightforward, and it looks great. Setup was as easy as plug and play, so no complaints there. Because a lot of these ports marketed as "USB 3.0" end up being deceitful, I opted to run a benchmark test on the hub. I'm including the results--it passed with flying colors! I transferred some fairly large (50+ gigs) to my external hard drive, and the transfers flew. As an added bonus, there's a charging port on one end for fast device charging. Everything works superbly. This is a terrific hub, and you can't go wrong with this purchase! 100% recommended.

I typically don't review an item that has such a simple use, but felt this one needed it. The idea of the individual power buttons is cool. The included suction cups to adhere the hub to the desk is cool. My beef is with the length of the power cable and USB cable. The power cable is a mere 3 feet. I had to use an extension cord because it wouldn't reach my surge protector. The USB cable is about a foot and a half. There isn't much wiggle room in the setup of this hub. I use my office as a home recording studio and these short cables make my desk look messy. I have enough cables to contend with. They're too short to hide behind the desk. UPDATE: The company contacted me and offered extension cables to remedy my issues. This was very nice of them and I respect a company that has great customer service. Thanks LYFNLOVE!

This hub is much better than my prior 4 port hub with a very short cord. The cord from this hub is long enough that is useful. The suction cups hold it to the table top. I plug in to it and now have access to printer, scanner, hard drive, keyboard and mouse. Makes it easy to move laptop from home desk (one plug) to office. The charging feature is good since I now have products which only charge via USB. Seems odd to me but my new laptop only has 2 USB ports which seems to be the trend. This hub fixes that issue.

Update: Seller was very proactive about fixing the problem. Turns out they ship the product with a 3A power supply - which is inadequate to power the hub and more than 1 external hard drive at a time. Seller ended up sending me a 5A power supply to replace the original, and so far, the hub is working properly with three portable hard drives plugged into it. I'm changing this review to a 5 star. Good seller. Just be aware that you may need an upgraded power supply to get full use out of the 7 port hub. ****Original Post (1 star)**** I bought this because I have 3 external hard drives that I use daily and wanted to keep them all connected at once, while still having a bluetooth mouse, printer, and other peripherals connected as well, and with the ability to plug in and transfer files from a 360 camera. Unfortunately, every time I connect the 360 camera (or plug in or unplug anything else from the hub), all of my hard drives are ejected and the only way to get them to mount again is to restart my computer. So this thing is effectively useless if you're using external hard drives. Will be returning it.

Excellent choice for USB Hub. Like the compact size, and there's on/off button next to each USB so one has the option to turn on only the USB slots one is using; plus each USB slot lights up when powered on so one can see at a glance if Hub slot is on. Has a nice blue glow to each powered USB slot when powered on. If blue lighting is a problem for your situation then this unit is not for you as if light is out the USB will not have power. The electrical cord is good length and not a stingy shorty type. Has a double sided suction cup pad, in double rows that one can apply a bit of moisture to mini suction cups to anchor unit to your desk surface to maintain it's assigned spot. I have mine on it's side so the USB cords plugged in don't have to bend up from vertical, but can rather flow out horizontal and parallel with desk surface from Hub for less strain on cords. I don't think the suction cup pad will work on a vertical surface, only horizontal desk configurations (I know because I tried it). Hope this is helpful to potential owners. I've been using this for about 2 months with no problems.

This 7 port hub failed very slowly over the course of almost one year. In the time since I purchased this hub in September of 2017, I've suffered the frustration of the intermittent reliability and non function of ALL of the 7 ports. I have had to reboot my PC very often for the many different failure problems this hub has had. Until this piece of junk completely failed, it was always a frustration of plugging and unplugging my USB devices and wondering which of the 7 ports would not work any time I tried to use it. Of the 7 intermittently failing ports, this hub has finally COMPLETELY FAILED operating on ANY port. I would NOT recommend this device to anyone. I wish it would have failed more quickly so I could have sent it back for a refund. If you need a USB 3.0 hub DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. UPDATE on August 23rd, 2018: After posting the above review on August 13th, 2018, the seller contacted me via email through "Amazon" that same day ("Thank You" to the seller). They acknowledged the one year warranty on this device and they offered to send a replacement hub. In that same email, they also indicated "We had improved our product, as well as the package and instructions. I do hope the replacement will satisfy you. If any further question, please feel free to contact us, we are always here for you." I accepted and I received a new replacement hub within 8 days. I have been using this new replacement hub for only about one day so far. I have tested and used all 7 USB ports and their related switches and it is working well. I am using some "San Disk" 3.0 flash drives, a "Western Digital My Passport" 3.0 external drive, a USB 3.0 SD card reader and a small "Brother QL-700" label printer all connected to this new hub and so far, all devices can be "switched" and are immediately recognized and work. I have not tested the USB charging port yet. The real test will be if this new hub remains reliable over time. I will update this review after more use but so far, the new hub is working well. UPDATE on November 30th, 2018: Well, it has been THREE months now since I received and have been using a warranty REPLACEMENT for the first hub I purchased. The second/replacement hub is still working perfectly. I am still using this hub with "San Disk" 3.0 flash drives and the same external HDD and label printer. ALL seven USB ports and switches are STILL working fine. I hope it continues to work. My FIRST hub worked for about this long and then started to fail intermittently. So far, this second, warranty replacement hub is doing fine. I've "got my fingers crossed". Thanks again to the seller "Lyfnlove" for supporting this product. So far, the replacement hub is working well. UPDATE: February 3rd, 2019 I have been using the NEW REPLACEMENT hub for 6 months now and this replacement hub is working PERFECTLY. I am still very pleased with this device. I especially like the ability to SWITCH each port "as needed" and that with all of the other features of this hub are now working very well. I have UPGRADED my satisfaction to this device to 5 Stars. I am very pleased with both the now perfect operation of the replacement hub AND the "Seller Support" to honor their warranty support for this device.

Seven Socket Lyfnlove Hub & Charger The Lyfnlove Hub is a multi-use port expansion accessory that provides seven individually switched female 3.0 USB A ports, and a charging port that supports high-speed 5V-3 Amp charging. My Moto Z Force cell charged at the same rate as it does with the special cable that came with the phone. Naturally the 3.0 USP ports are back-compatible to 2.0. I replaced my 2.0 USB port card in my desktop with a 3 3.0 USB ports last year and loved the speed. I connected the Lyfnlove Hub to the new 3.0 socket and got the 3.0 speed from the hub sockets. There was no loss in speed. The USB port card I used to upgrade had sockets in a very inconvenient place in back of the desktop case. For that reason, I almost never used them since they were so inaccessible. The 22” cable on the Lyfnlove Hub gave me access to those 3.0 ports near the front of my desktop computer with no hassles. To see the blue status bar move quickly across the screen during a disk copy operation was a heart-warming experience for this nerd. The Lyfnlove Hub claims that it has a fast charging port. The Settings Battery screen confirms that. Note the steep recharge line on the right end of the graphic. It fully recharged from 35% to 100% in about two hours. The fast charge cable for my phone alone costed $35. A unique feature of this hub is 10 rubber suction feet. They couldn’t wait to stick securely to my Formica top work space, but the roughed surface on the side of my desktop was a greater challenge. The suction cups are a great idea if you have a very smooth surface, but any surface roughage makes them less feasible. They did adhere very well to a smooth wood surface painted with enamel paint. I stuck mine vertically to the front panel of my desktop computer which is perfectly smooth plastic. My hub is now more handy, out-of-the-way and consumes no desk space. The Lyfnlove Hub is only 7” long making it suitable for travel. If you travel with computer equipment, this is a very desirable accessory to have on hand. Hubs that have standard grounded wall sockets tend to be much heavier. Without forward planning, you could pay more luggage fees for heavy items in your bags. Newer computers come equipped with many USB ports, but not nearly enough when you begin to add the many accessories that are available. Sooner or later, you’ll need more ports. The Lyfnlove Hub competently fills that need with its speed, versatility and portability. Reviewed by R S Harrison
