I like this tool better than other similar ones because of the rotating top which let one hold the drill steady with one hand while turning the collet end with the other hand. It needs a small drop of heavy oil on the top and on the collet end to work well.

This is really a handy pin vise to have. Unlike the other 5 that I own, you do not have to mess around with finding the right size collet ever time you change drill bit sizes; it functions like the chuck on a regular hand drill or drill press. I like that the pommel spins freely. This helps when you're holding the vise steady to drill an accurate hole. I like this so much I bought another one a week after I bought my first.

This review is for the fools that have written a review of this product and complained about the drills. What is being sold by this vendor is a very serviceable "pin vice". It does what it is supposed to do, securely hold small drills, a pointed scribing tool or very small taps. For the price of less than $10. it's hard to beat. you will pay twice that at any hardware or hobby store, that is if you can find it there. That said, you are NOT buying a set of high quality drills. they will work fine in styrene, acetate, acrylic, light wood, copper, brass or pot metal as long as you are not trying bore through an inch of the stuff while applying all of your weight trying to push a hole rather than drill it. So I'm not sure why people are complaining about a drill set without an index (box) or a numbering/ sizing document for the included drills. You received them for free. So after all of that noise, Yes, I would highly recommend this tool (Pin Vice). reasonable quality for a very reasonable price including shipping. Heck of a deal.

Exactly what I wanted for a small hand drill, has the itty bitty real real small beading thread/miniature screw sizes I need. About 3.5 in long in size total

This is a well made little drill. I used it for wooden model and it works great. Just not to confuse anybody - it is not motorized, you spin it with your fingers. Worked perfectly well with the sorts of wood I have been dealing (not very hard ones) but I assume it would work fine with harder wood as well. The drill bits are handy and very useful for modelling. Great buy!

As soon as I got this tool I used it to hand drill a screw hole in my vintage guitar to mount a plastic pick plate. This little drill worked great. I wish I had bought one years ago. It's great for delicate drilling of small holes in wood.

I used this drill to put holes into the seashells that I make jewelry out of. I did not receive any instructions with the drill, however, I think I was able to figure out how to operate it. It works well on my thinner shells. I chose this product from the others because it seemed like the best choice for me. And I was right.

I haven't had to use this gadget yet, however in the past I needed something like this for either jewelry repair, toys or other delicate projects. I purchased this item for when I actually need to use it... Because of the size of the drill bits, I was hoping that it would come with a case to keep them together, and it did not. So, that would be the only thing that I would recommend the seller change..Otherwise, I am happy with the purchase!

I used this to drill small holes in plastic ink cartriges. It worked pretty well. I had a hard time tightening the chuck enough to make big steps, but it did work and it's not meant for heavy duty, so it still gets 5 starts. it's pretty nice, but it was smaller than I expected from the picture.

I bought this to drill holes in polymer clay and resin jewelry pieces. It works great.
