This little thing is really cute. I love this so much not only is it practical (as a piggy bank) but it also is cute. I also like the feature in the bottom to release all the coins inside. Very satisfied with this product. Definitely worth the 13 bucks!

Great bank!

Got this for my son and we leave it out because everyone wants to put change in it. It is just adorable and gets a load of giggles! Had this over a year, it had been dropped, rolled, etc and has yet to fail.

I seriously think this thing is freaking awesome. Is it the original Itazura box? No, this is a knock off from China but it doesn't disappoint in the least. The cat is successful in pulling all US coin currencies and a few random fake coins I had as well. The cat and cat paw has a furry texture and is just so damn cute. I put this on my work desk and everyone is always asking what the hell it is. I tell them to place a coin and see. You do have to push down on the fish for the cat to take in the coin. Yes, no one knows what it says... I think it says "thank you" in Mandarin followed by 2 meows. This reminds me of the "beckoning cat" which is considered good luck bringing you good fortune. This did not come with batteries, you'll need 2 AA. Some reviewers have mentioned that it has a screw missing in the battery cover, I honestly think it's not suppose to have a screw as most screw on covers I've seen would not have it shaped like that to snap in. So far I haven't had any problems with functioning and it's been consistently pulling in coins with it's paw. This thing is just so hilarious, love it.

Very cute. It does sound more like a cat than a panda but I've never really heard a panda make much noise so I guess the sound of a kitty meowing is good enough. This item is well made and I haven't noticed anything wrong with the product. It's fun and cute and an affordable way for my child to save money.

Pure ridiculous fun

As others have said, I don't have a clue what this little fellow is saying before he swipes the coin. The consensus I've reached after having countless people play with it is that the creature says "Su says Aye" Now I am fairly certain isn't what is being said but I've made peace with the fact that this is the closest I'm ever going to get to understanding what is actually being said. And the fact is that not knowing and endlessly having people put in extra change just to try to figure it out, makes this silly little box all that much more fun. Here's another head scratcher about this.... it is presumable a box of strawberries that our unintelligible friend is hiding in, right? Okay so why then do we place our coins on a plate that is designed to look like the bones of an eaten fish? Again, more absurdity. I am a huge fan of absurdity.... I think it adds an interesting dimension to our lives, so that's pretty much why I am giving this five stars. If you are looking for an unflawed serious piggy bank for either yourself or your child then this isn't for you. But for me this is just great ludicrous fun. Now a word about the missing screw that so many reviewers are upset about.... GET OVER IT! That screw would just be a major annoyance every time you needed to get into the battery compartment. They are doing you a favor by selling it without the screw, trust me. The compartment closes and stays closed just fine. If they sold it with the screw you would no doubt lose the screw or lose your mind looking for a screwdriver tiny enough to remove the screw. The company is saving you from yourself here. Forget about the screw. BOTTOM LINE: adults seem to love this as much if not more than the kids I think it was probably intended for. Personally I love it. I love its quirkiness and the fact that it makes no sense. I love watching folks test it out and pull quarter after quarter out of their pocket just so they can get another crack at trying to figure out what the little creature is saying. BUY THIS and stop worrying about everything being perfect

Love this bank!

Absolutely adorable panda bank. This is a birthday gift for my granddaughter who loves pandas. I received it quickly and tested it right away to make sure all was in good order before giving it to her. My husband and I both got a kick out of it and know she will love this. Like some of the other reviews I agree the sound the panda makes is confusing. Sounds more like a cat meowing to me but, not enough of an issue to knock off a star.

This is one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen! I saw it on a TV show about a year ago and knew my daughter would love it, so I was happy when I was able to find it and buy it for Christmas. My daughter was ecstatic when she opened it as she had been wanting to buy one. I wasn’t aware of that. This was her favorite gift out of everything. The product is as described and works like a charm. Delivery was delayed a day, which was a slight problem because we celebrated on the 23rd and I had to make a special trip to deliver today.

A Cute Coin Bank

I bought this for a gift. It is so cute to watch the panda come out and drag the coin into the box. It works well straight out of the box. It holds 40 coins but will not take paper money. It is a very cute concept. I would buy again
